I agree with the article, except for the conclusion that this sort of thing will damage Obama. I frankly think this works to his benefit. He gets the bump from those ridiculing Palin (go to the link he provides to the article, and read the comments…there are hundreds of people who have read the article and commented favorably on it), and he gets the benefit on the back end from condemning the attack, and seeming by contrast reasonable. So far it’s worked to his benefit, and I think it might continue to.
