The problem with the “Global Warming” crowd is that there is no way to accomplish their goals without creating a government that would be indistinguishable from a police state.

It’s the old “The ends justify the means” approach. First they convince enough people that their goals are absolutely critical. From there it is not a big step to employing police state methods because “It’s an emergency and the planet depends on it.”

The goals, of course, are undefinable and therefore unachievable. All of which means that the “emergency” will continue.

All for our own good, of course.
