It saddens me to read your words. Spain’s people lack moral courage. They despise the US but greedily live the life the US presents them with their unique Spanish twist.
I am glad that my parents left Spain for the US. While we may have flaws, the US is the greatest nation on earth. It’s people are generous and willing to sacrifice in a manner Spaniards (I do not forget the rest of Europe) cannot comprehend or appreciate. Spaniards lack the courage to administer justice. They lack the courage to dream. They lack the courage to be great. Appeasement if a choice of those who fear loss more than desire to be great. I pity Spain.
America with all its flaws, still empowers its citizens to dream. With that comes the possibility of greatness. We may fail but we have the courage to reach for our dreams.
