I find the rush to support Gov Palin by so many on the right as the height of irresponsibility. It should be the right, the responsible right, not the loony, religious nut right, but the stable, steady Kames Baker right who are asking who Sarah Palin is and what she will do in office. If we could have the reincarnation of Jeane Kirkpatrick running for VP, I would be on board. But, let Sarah Palin go on a Firing Line-type debate (don’t you miss those?) where she could display all the skills she supposedly possesses up against some of the best debaters of the day. Better than that, let her go on BBC’s HardTalk and give a performance that silences all opposition. I am not saying she couldn’t do it, I just don’t know. Maybe other folks on this comoment line have never been sent to war, but I have, and I like those on the top to at least have a clue about what they are doing.
