There are fat-heads, and small-minded bureaucraps both in the US and Israel who only see things with their blinkers on. The fact that both Mosab and Walid are both ex-terrorists is all that they see, or want to see.
As for Mosab, I would GUESS that he still considers himself a “Palestinian” nationalist who wants a Palestinian state in Judah and Samaria despite his conversion to Christianity. I am not going to fault him on this too heavily. If it is God’s Will that the land be divided again, it will happen. If not, then it won’t happen. So far, God seems to have hardened the hearts of the “Palestinian” leaders as He did of Pharaoh back in the MOses, and no matter how many plagues befell Egypt, he refused to give in. Because God had purposely hardened his heart for HIS OWN reasons! Since 1920 the Arab leadership has refused every offer to compromise with the Jews. They have tried every imaginable way to stymie the creation of a Jewish state. Even in 1937, before WWII, when the Royal Peel Commission offered a compromise that would have left the JEws only 10% of western Palestine for a Jewish state, the Arabs refused even that. They have refused any kind of Jewish state of ANY size in what they call “historical Palestine,” which is actually totally ahistorical, oxymoronic nonsense.
So, in the end, it’s all in God Hands, and He will ultimately decide no matter what we want. At least that is my opinion.
