Dear Walid,
Yes, I know the HORROR of the Israeli bureaucracy, and not only does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing, it doesn’t even CARE! But the stupidity and horror of bureaucracy in Israel is a whole ‘nother subject.
But legally, there is no bar for a Muslim or an Arab or a Christian becoming PM of Israel, as far as I know. Of course you would have to become a citizen first. You don’t have to be born in Israel to be elected PM or appointed president.
And when I lived in ISrael, my best friends were missionaries and even Jewish converts to Christianity. Israel has LOADS of them. My best friend was a convert, or “Messianic Jew” who came with his Evangelical Tennessee wife, and they had and raised five beautiful, lovely children who are now full grown and have served in the IDF. They love and would never leave the country. I presume they are either permanent or temporary residents who get their visas renewed.
I sincerely wish it were possible, because I believe you would be the best candidate of any I know in Israel. You tell it like it is, and how it should be told. You know the real score over there, and what the mentality of our half-brothers and cousins whose misguided Muslim upringing has unfortunately taught them to hate and seek vengeance for any real or perceived slight. I was born in a DP camp to Holocaust survivors who lost EVERYTHING, and I mean my grandmother, my mother’s first baby, her brothers, her whole family, and went through those unimaginable horrors, though she alone was saved by TRUE Christians who really risked their lives to save her and 4 other Jews. It’s just unimaginable what risks they took, only because they were TRUE Christians. Nonetheless, it would have been inconceivable that my mother would have taught me to become a suicide bomber, and kill innocent Germans or Poles, or even guilty ones! And naturally besides the loss of her whole family, one does not even THINK about the loss of home, properties, a business, etc. WHen you have lost child and whole family, the last thing you think about is the home or land that you lost.
Anyhow, GOd bless you and I really wish you could run for office in ISrael, because I think you could really be like Cyrus was, a savior., Maybe not THE Savior, but certainly a God-send. God bless and allow you to continue your very good works.
