I think you’ll find quite a bit of difference between a “progressive” from Roosevelt’s day and the modern version of said ilk.

Just like the “progressive” staff at Duke university rushed to the conclusion that three young men just had to be guilty of interracial rape because they were male, white and from well-to-do families and the false accuser was female, black and poor.
Even now that the falsely accused three have been declared innocent and that no crime ever occured, the “progressive diversity and equality” brigade still insist “something must have happened”.
When is hating someone based on skin color not racist?
