Ditto on the elections. I think Iraqis have now seen what sectarian politics does to them. So the next election will be a real IQ test, IMO.
And the constitutional “based on the Koran” stuff has gotta go, sooner better than later. The basic Shia doctrine is opposed to political ties and involvement. Which suggests that it’s there to placate Sunnis and the Iranian Shia heresy, aka Mookie and SCII.
