I agree. The speech would have been better without the sarcasm, snide comments, and patronizing from the media and the Democratic Party that preceded it. Oh, and the lies.
The condescending, sexist, snide, untruthful garbage put out by the media and portions of the Democratic Party supporters served as a framework and pre-publicity for this speech. The reason PUMAs exist is that the Democratic Party, which once was the party of the little guy, the minority, and the woman, has become a racist, sexist, socialist, untruthful parody of itself. It was a huge mistake to decide to ride the Iraq war to the White House. It was a huge mistake to adopt those lying talking points. It was a huge mistake to try to throw two popular, strong Liberals, Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman, out of the party. It was a huge mistake to try to run a sock puppet in Hillary Clinton’s place. It was a huge mistake to adopt a pattern of cheating in the caucuses, and it was a huge mistake to question Sarah Palin’s ability to serve as VP because she is a mother.
