Hyocrisy means pretending to be something you’re not. When people pretend to believe in traditional morality but don’t really, they’re hypocrites.
The Dems like to call Republicans hypocrites when their behavior falls short of their aspirations, but that is hypocrisy only when one pretends one is without faults. Most Christians know that we have all sinned and fallen short and need confession and repentance to be atoned through Jesus Christ.
