Why Some Kids Aren’t Heading to School Today

For you junior sociologists out there, ‘socialization’ is not the same a socializing. Socialization entails acceptance of the beliefs and attitudes of a society and its subordinate institutions – it has nothing to do with getting along with other kids.

If you’re concerned that your child isn’t socializing enough, take them to the park. There’s no reason to compel a child to attend a public institution five days a week for 12-13 years so that they can learn to get along with other kids. It’s really not that difficult of a skill to master.
