The minutes include the usual mind-numbing welter of UN buzz words: “sustainable…implementing… institutional framework… integration, implementation and coherence…” etc. George Russell has done us the favor of slogging through this, and sums it up as as an agenda of “bold ambitions that stretch for years beyond the Rio conclave to consolidate a radical new global green economy, promote a spectrum of sweeping new social policies and build an even more important role for UN institutions ‘to manage the process of globalization better.’”
Could this really go anywhere? Don’t underestimate it. Thanks in substantial part to U.S. tax dollars that subsidize most of its system, the UN has the ability and resources to stage these mega-conferences, whether the U.S. contributes directly or not. These conferences produce secretariats that become permanent fixtures, and spin off other conferences, commissions, programs — which in turn become frameworks and funders of global lobbying efforts in which an organized few can trample the interests of a disorganized many. At what cost to humanity does this “sustain” and continually expand the UN, and its ever-swelling ambitions?
As it is, we have a huddle of UN officials — none of them chosen by any process that a normal democracy would recognize as elections — bankrolled in substantial part by U.S. tax dollars, and protected by UN immunities, meeting in luxurious secrecy on Long Island to plan the reshaping of the world. Not a good sign.

The global economic collapse will put this gang out of business.
Quite the opposite, friend.
They are counting on a reset. Striving for it.
The ruling class types are pulling up the drawbridge; a new caste system is forming.
The Cold War structures are beyond borders and thus, beyond laws.
The debt is never meant to be paid off-
it’s just a tool for consolidation moves by the Industry on a post-national scale.
Capitalist production and predictable pension systems have nothing, NOTHING, to do with the new economics.
The ‘green economy’ will be a weird blend of ‘public-private partnerships’ at the top and black market economies at the bottom, with a balkanized, dependent ‘middle class’. Kind of a chaotic stew with a rather mercenary flavor.
Sounds about right, e.g. fascism on steroids and without any organized opposition….
Busybodies dream made true.
One of the few benefits of the coming worldwide economic collapse may be the dissolution of the United Nations as it’s funding dries up and those sucking on the teat starve or move on to greener pastures.
Greener pastures? What could be greener than their UN gig?
The greener part is when they achieve total global control. The employees of the U.N. have their own masters. These are the international banking establishment. The mega rich. Royalty, and CEO’s of global corporations. They control most of the world’s currency. Money for the U.N. is not a problem. As noted above, the plan is to bring the world to it’s knees. The U.N. will be there, ready to take control. They only lack a powerful military, but are content to use European, and American forces to accomplish their goals.

How very astute you are. Of particular interest in Ms. Rosett’s article is her mention of the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit. If you recall, Prince Charles played a key role at that event while hosting quite a motley crew of movers and shakers aboard the Royal Yacht, Brittania. Among that group were Al Gore and Morris Strong. Joan Veon has an excellent writeup of the event and its shocking implications.

All the holes punched into the UN’s agenda driven IPCC (intergovernmental panel on climate change) reports, the outright lies, the unscientific data (such as using a report in a hiking magazine as proof of melting glaciers), the barely concealed perfidy of that self-promoting, self-enriching Indian guy who headed up the IPCC…nothing deters this ignorant crowd of determined transnationalists from their intended path.
Ban Ki and cronies should be laughed off the planet at their own stupidity and transparency, but on and on they go, all the time planning their successive self-indulgent, self-serving confabs all over the planet.
At some confab in Copenhagen (Dec. 2010?) they’d hoped to get promises of “rich countries” paying reparations to “poor countries” (Obama was on board for the scheme), but that, thankfully, fell through. Pelosi took a bunch of equally crooked Congresscritters over to that mtg. at taxpayer expense.
Truly remarkably disgusting times, as “The UN” completes its transformation into an Israel bashing, world government promoting brotherhood of morons.
It sure would be nice if we had a POTUS who would put John Bolton back to work in our government.
THere is only ONE PERSON who would put a stop to this… RON PAUL 2012
This utopian vision may be what the UN wants, but this is not what they will most certainly get. The destruction of civilization is the only possible result if this program succeeds. We are headed for a repeat of the misery of the dark ages. Humans, as demonstrated by this UN ideal, are not capable of thriving in large groups, and the vaunted Global Nation will collapse into the tribal conditions of the past. To add insult to the coming injury, the perpetrators will continue to call themselves Progressives. And people like us will end up in the same abject poverty as the rest and will continue to babble “we told you so” and continue to be ignored. ABO2012
Jim Baker:
Right you are Mr. Baker, they ate us one bite at a time. Some saw “them” coming for more than 50 years but we were considered the loonie fringe. Time marches on and woe to those who wait too long. Unless you are Chinese.
The article clearly spells out an important reason for the Unites States to withdraw from the United nations. The UN was founded by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who ignored the custom of all prior US presidents to limit themselves to two terms as George Wahington did. FDR viewed himself as greater than Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln or any other and was elected four times by an America on it’s knees during the Great Depression and WWII.
Roosevelt began the UN intending he would head it…and thereby become leader not just of the USA, but of the entire world. He died before that became a reality.
The UN has been around since 1945, and proven itself as inept, incompetant, corrupt, and a forum for anti-American and anti-Israel ranting. It has failed to prevent the 300+ wars since WWII, most of which occured between UN members.
Now, the have their sights on a global government that will swallow our nation whole.
The next president and Congress must tender our resignation from the UN as soon as they are sworn in.
US out of the UN; UN out of the US…NOW!!!!!!!!
Dear Ms Rosett,
please keep up the good work!
Here comes Agenda 21 under the guise of “sustainability”…
It’s closer than you may think.
Agreed. Agenda 21 is control through regulation. One can read the UN wording on Universitys attempting to get individuals in rual areas to be leaders in watching means of production. Farming, water well drilling, etc.
It looks good on the surface, but it is Gaia worship. The Queen of Heaven. Also known as green economy.
I give the global government 20 years, or less to control with a mark to buy, and sell.
Does oil for food ring a bell? Too long ago?
Believe, way back when, it was Sir Isaac Newton who literally figured out all the calendars and the prophecies in the Bible. He coordinated the book of Daniel with the book of Revelation and came up with possible dates for the end of the world. Think those dates may have been 2050, 2056 or so.
The way things are going with the UN-sustainable agenda; Newton may well have been spot on.
Despite the political incorrectness of the thought, we may want to give the world’s greatest mathematician, Sir Isaac, a bit more credence in date-setting than we give the Mayans, who, while busily sacrificing their children, never even managed to correctly predict their own diaspora/demise. Of course, long before mid-century, we will be dead and our grandchildren will be serfs in the fiefdoms of the global elites. Makes you long for our real savior (not Mr.Obama) to show up sooner rather than later.
By the way, wasn’t that Copenhagen meeting the same one where Barack & Michelle & Oprah & Pelosi & hundreds of their closest friends went over (on our dime, yet) to wine & dine & celebrate their triumphant delivery of the Olympics to Chicago? ???
Why can’t someone just say that we are going to MOVE it to Africa? The land prices are so much cheaper, the jobs and infrastructure WE, THE PEOPLE fund will enhance a part of the world that demands great amounts of their time at the U.N. and instead of reading about it they would be able to step outside and understand it. At that point, the undemocratic, Stalinist nature of the organization would surely come to fruition and we could…do SOMETHING about it!
