I think the solution is clear.
Every news organization willing to comply with the White House is to be given the White House Seal of Approval — and be required to display it prominently during their network newscasts (or in the case of 24-hour news channels, displayed in perpetuity).
Then viewers can look and immediately see that, hey, this network is approved by the White House! Therefore I can trust that what they say is true and, more importantly, actually news! How easy for me now to figure things out! No more need to think for myself! Whee!
And since Fox will (currently) be the only station not displaying this Seal of Approval, then viewers will know that they do not report “double-plus truefact” about the Obama administration, and must be shunned.
I’m sure the other networks will be willing to display this Seal of Approval. Why wouldn’t they? :sauron:
We could call it the Obama News Approval Network! (or ONAN, for short).
