El Baradei and His Bank Account — Who Inspects the Inspectors?
International Atomic Energy & Psychotherapy Agency
Mr. El Baradei appears to be running an entrepreneurial sideline next to his nuclear day job: Therapy for Totalitarians (along with group totemic art classes, Jung for Jihadis). In preparing for this new endeavor, he has studied at the Foggy Bottom /CFR Sensitivity Training Center. See how well he has mastered relativist therapeutic thinking:
“Imagine what a regime would feel if they hear that force will be used against them, in addition to being called names, in addition to talk about regime change in the past.”
How wounding! Imagine the anguish of it all! Please pass the tea sandwiches….. Poor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! How his self-esteem must feel challenged to hear that nasty, insensitive Dick Cheney disparage his plans for the future glory of Iran. Positively withering for self-confidence. No wonder he wants more centrifuges….. it’s all a matter of “confidence deficit” syndrome.
This is the kind of thinking that will find us watching the sky light up over London, or Paris, or Tel Aviv, or New York one morning with something other than sunrise. Most troubling for anyone of the American persuasion is that this relativist therapeutic thinking is rampant in our own government, especially at our State Department where Secretary Rice free associates in this modality with alarming frequency. When we see Nick Burns and Chris Hill sprouting Freudian whiskers, we’ll know our fate is well and truly cooked.
