Just read the reports from the Administration’s appointed Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction -SIGIR. This was about waste, fraud and corruption…much worse than anything we saw in Oil For Food. I’m not having it “both ways” as I hardly “believe in the UN” with my sarcastic comment about being shocked to find corruption and referring to it as “altogether irrelevant”. If it closed tomorrow & it’s useful functions farmed out to competent NGOs we’d all be better off.
