I’m curious if anyone knows how this affects our heroes over there fighting in this “Contingency Operation?” It used to be that benefits (Hazard pay, combat pay, etc.) were paid only if the operation was considered a war or just a peacekeeping mission. I have no idea if this is true or not, but what a shame for our brave men and women if their pay is reduced because of the wording of a conflict.
