The beauty of the whole War on Terror mindset is that such a war can never actually be won militarily. Yet, we’ll be expected to be in a permanent state of military conflict. That way, issues at home like the crumbling infrastructure, crumbling schools, declining wages, and millions of uninsured people denied real healthcare will be shunted aside in the name of the “Global War on Terror”.

In a lot of ways, far right conservatives think that 9/11 was the greatest thing ever. It was like Christmastime, because the gift they received that day was a shiny new “get out of governing free” card. A card they continue to play over and over, even if the purported enemies aren’t exactly radical Islamacists (ahem…Iraq anyone).

Oh, well. Obviously, you guys are hopped up to get into a shooting war with Iran. How, pray tell, do you propose we pay for such a war?
