Excellent phrase. It needs to be propagated.

“It was the “spirit” of “global commitment to progress” that “led airlift planes to appear in the sky above our heads.””

Maybe he should consider that it was America’s rock-solid opposition to the “progress” of communism that put those planes in the air. Oh, wait, it was those nasty miltary thugs flying the planes, wasn’t it? (Do you suppose he even knows that they were military aircraft? Or does he think that United Air Lines made all those flights? Or does he even care?)
