Doesn’t matter if there’s a mosque on top of the Freedom Tower, if Muslims want to blow it up, they will.

The thing most people fail to realize about Islam is that Muslims can justify anything they do. If a bunch of Muslims in the middle east are caught in the middle of one of their bombings, they weren’t faithful enough so they deserved it. Kill Muslims in America and it falls under “they weren’t really Muslim because they don’t speak Arabic and they converted”. I sincerely wish I was making this stuff up.

My family lived in the middle east for two years. In that time my dad worked with them every single day of the week and was fluent in Arabic. Now, my dad is by no means a racist and doesn’t begrudge anybody their religious beliefs, but he can’t stand Muslims or Arabs. And from what I remember about living there – even as a kid – neither can I. Neither of us trust them – kind of hard to when their holy book specifically tells them it’s OK to lie to infidels and make infidels think you’re their friend until they pull the rug out from under you. A friend of mine tells me his father had a friend – a very good friend – who was Muslim who, one day out of the blue said, “You know, if it came down to you or my religion, my religion would win.” Doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence regarding where the sentiments of most Muslims lie given that this guy was not by any means a fanatic about religion in his every day life.

Like my dad, I’m no racist. I just choose to acknowledge the more unsavory truths that nobody wants to admit are there because then that requires making a judgement about someone and their culture. Then again, when someboy – anybody, to include an entire religion – is holding me at gunpoint and says they want to shoot me, I’m going to take them at their word. And them I’m either going to shoot them first or at least take them down with me.

As an aside, the Cordoba House/Park51/Ground Zero mosque/ whatever the name is supposed to be is a giant “screw you, we will piss on your ashes” to America. Too bad there are too many people with politically correct blinders on to realize it.
