Al Qaeda Weighs In on the Post-Election Landscape
While Americans have been debating the meaning of Tuesday’s election, al Qaeda’s Ayman al Zawahiri has been weighing in with his own views on this landscape, including the burned and abandoned wreck of the U.S. diplomatic post struck not by a “spontaneous” mob, but — yes — terrorists, at least some of them al Qaeda-linked, in Benghazi. Unfortunately, Zawahiri’s claims here are far better in touch with reality than the president’s candied campaign lines about a receding tide of war, and al Qaeda in retreat.
Here’s an except from Joscelyn’s article, vital reading as America faces not only immense economic challenges at home, but deadly threats abroad. It begins with a quote from an audio broadcast by al Zawahiri, referring to the signs of American weakness:
“They were defeated in Iraq and they are withdrawing from Afghanistan, and their ambassador in Benghazi was killed and the flags of their embassies were lowered in Cairo and Sana’a, and in their places were raised the flags of tawhid [monotheism] and jihad,” Zawahiri says, according to a translation provided by the SITE Intelligence Group.
“After their consecutive defeats, they are working from behind agents and traitors,” Zawahiri continues. “Their awe is lost and their might is gone and they don’t dare to carry out a new campaign like their past ones in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Al Qaeda-linked extremists have been tied to the three assaults on US diplomatic facilities Zawahiri mentions.
It’s not clear here whether al Zawahiri made his comments before or after the election returns rolled in on Tuesday evening. But no matter — unless the current administration, now secure in a second term, now makes a profound change of course, and in doing so, levels with the American public about the extent of this threat. A good first step would be to come clean and crystal clear on what happened in Benghazi, what exactly the president did or did not know, and do, and how he might now propose to rally the American people, not to downplay and obscure this war at awful cost, but to win it.
America, Israel and the west in general is in grave danger, and it is not only because of the TRUE statements exhorted from a terror kingpin.
His words are chilling, and they must be heed, but they won’t be. Why? Becasue The One is operating in their interests!!

The term ‘foxes-in-the-henhouse’ is hardly an understatement. Making matters very more deadly, is that the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia is deeply burrowed within every American power center, and beyond.

Adina, I read your statements with a lot of ferver…..I have gone to some of the additional web sites you put up on your sites….Adina I fear that unless there is a large ground swell of energy from the Dem. party, this Communist Mussy will get away with this by doing what he does best, lying thur his teeth….The Dems are masters of lies and stealing (votes). “A good first step” — true enough, but it’ll never happen willingly, especially in the full flush of victory. The truth has to be dug up and leaked, then patched together.

The problem with impeachment talk is the process. The house institutes impeachment proceedings and votes to impeach. Since the GOP controls the house, this is probably not a big issue. But it’s the Senate that convicts or acquits. Since Harry Reid and the demonrats are in control, not gonna happen. And if it does, we’re stuck with President Biden (who will immediately issue a full pardon for the Won). Is that really any better? Unless we can also impeach Biden at the same time and get President Boehner. Again, is that any better?
Walt – The Constitution does not permit the President to pardon one who has been impeached. It’s true, look it up. That’s one reason that Nixon resigned before the House moved to impeach.
I don’t believe it. Boehner is already offering to compromise on the tax debacle. So, unless somebody with more guts than Boehner takes over, it won’t happen. The only way anybody knows any of the truth is by way of the internet. And, after watching all that went on through this campaign, most of the GOP is just as bad as the Dems. If we don’t get rid of them, & get some REAL Americans in there, things are just going to get worse. And, if Romney had REALLY wanted to win, he would NOT have conceded, but filed fraud charges against the Democrat party.
Something incredibly dangerous was said by Obama during this campaign and it will have huge ramifications with the war on terror. Obama made the stunning admission in one of his rare interviews that Egypt was no longer an ally of the United States. What he said was that Egypt was not an ally or an enemy, but it certainly was NOT the ally it once was under the Mubarak regime.
Think about that. A country that has been our friend in the arab world for roughly 40 years no longer is an ally. And, with the Muslim Brotherhood now in charge, you can kiss the Camp David Treaty good-bye. The Muslim Brotherhood has no love for either Israel or the United States, and the Brotherhood’s chief ally, the Salafists, hate us even more. So it will NOT be much of a stretch to think that Egypt now will provide more aid and comfort and military supplies to organizations like al Qaeda. In fact, this may already be happening. Some al Qaeda attacks on southern Israel have come from Egypt and I’m sure that the terrorists in Hamas are getting at least some support from Egypt as well now that Mubarak is gone.
Obama does not realize how serious losing Egypt has been and will be. The Egyptian attack on our embassy in Cairo was only a taste of things to come. What happened in Libya is just an example of the total collapse of our influence in the Middle East, and terrorists like al Qaeda’s Ayman al Zawahiri are cashing in on that. Unless we turn the tide and stop our waning influence in the region, you will see a lot more terrorist attacks against the United States and it won’t be long before we see another attack on the scale of 9/11/2001. And, not for nothing, how sad is it that we now have to qualify which 9/11 attack we’re talking about, 9/11/2001 or 9/11/2012. Just shows you how far we’ve fallen.

It might be better not to even mutter “impeachment” too early — let the situation fester enough so that the movement becomes more broadly accepted as a possibility. The process, as Walt C points out, takes time anyway, so whatever is done (or not done) on that front will not happen in time to prevent some very ugly events from taking place. They *will* happen, and lots of people are going to die (many of them Americans, both overseas and here in the U.S.) as the Muslim Brotherhood/al Queda/Iran players become emboldened. It’s already too late to stop that. But once the killing starts, then the general public will be willing to consider a major, broad and legal change of leadership.

And here we have a wee bit of magic thinking. What would be the cause of the change of course? From a president who has said the call to Muslim prayer was the most beautiful sound, from a man who had to be corrected on camera from saying his Muslim faith to saying his Christian faith?
I’m not seeing the catalyst for change here.
Yes, there is a needed first step – coming clean. Unfortunately, we are asking people who don’t even recognize truth to do it. I won’t be holding my breath. We are in for some very hard times now that we have four more years of trying to discern the truth from what this administration says on a daily basis.
Hope and Change has already happened. Now we get more of the same from whence that came.
The only nice thing I can say about this situation is that this President has nobody but himself to blame for this predicament.

Zawahiri is celebrating for the same reason the Chinese and Putin sent congratulations when Obama won re-election.
All of the above prefer a feckless, malleable, easily-intimidated American leadership. When it’s chock-full of people who have had an unrequited teenage romance with Eastern mysticism and Soviet-style collectivism for most of their lives, that’s just icing on the cake.
Hitler wouldn’t have gotten to first base without the idiot trifecta of Stanley Baldwin, Neville Chamberlain, and several successive French governments to help him along by repeatedly operating on the “If we give him just this much more, he’ll be satisfied and stop” principle. It’s ironic that the only politician involved who had a realistic appreciation of where things were heading was Edouard Deladier, a hardcore Socialist- who unbent from the standard reflexive French Socialist hatred of American capitalism enough to negotiate a secret agreement with FDR to get around U.S. neutrality laws for purposes of arming up in anticipation of what he could clearly see was coming down the pike. (Or more exactly, across the Rhine with an end-run through Belgium.)
Dictatorships, especially ones with dreams of empire, like it when their most dangerous opponents are ruled by weak, vacillating leaders. If those leaders are sympathizers, or have a delusional worldview in which the dictatorships are seen as good, that’s even better from their standpoint.
By these standards, where Putin, China, and Islam are concerned, The One is a gift from whatever their conception of God may be.

Therein lies the problem. DuhOne has no desire to win it. In fact, he has every desire to see the U.S. look as defeated by our enemies thereby making America and Americans look more like third-world on the world stage. He said he would reduce our military power to that level acceptable to muslim nations… and he meant it.
It has become fairly obvious by now that, 1. Obama has not criticized any Islamic country any way but lightly or not at all. He HAS criticized Israel and favored their enemies, e.g. demanding return the 1967 boundaries. 2. He knows, as well as any of us, that Egypt controls the Suez Canal, and has shut it down once before. It could even limit which ships could use the canal (Israeli ships, I believe, are now denied use of it.) This is ominous, since BHO now has “four more years” of being “more flexible” with adversary nations—-probably to our detriment.
