It’s a “good” flick in the Hollywood sense in that it’s not overtly pro-Muslim or anti-Israeli. It is “anti-american” in the sense that the bad guys are white rednecks who hate Jews, blacks, latinos, Obama, Oprah, Whole Foods, yellows, Arabs, etc. As Smith wisely asserts:

“it takes a giant step back from reality and turns sheepishly to one of Hollywood’s hoariest notions, that America’s real threat is from some sort of redneck white supremacist group — white inferiorists? Hands up, all those who think lumpy hicks in plaid shirts are as dangerous as Islamist freaks.”

Please. Yes, the movie is about “peace” with the American-ized “Palestinians.” I don’t buy into that completely, and there’s a ton of unnecessary moral relativism.

But for laughs, it’s one of the funniest films I have seen in recent years.

Sandler is no Republican though, I’d bet. As a proud NYer, donating to Rudy proves nothing about his conservatism to me. I bet anything he’s for Obama. He’s just like the rest of the trendy morons.

It was a perverted, verging on porno, movie and not appropiate for children under 13. Several people in the theater including myself left.I was extremely disppointed in Adam Sandler and Henry Winkler.It was not creative as I would expect from them nor a comedy; yet it could have been a good funny movie..It is a sad commentary on our desensitized society when people accept this.

It seems like Pro-Israel bloggers have not come to an agreement regarding this movie. For example Debbie Schlussel calls this movie “high quality Bin Laden Cinema” and writes “this movie does to Israel and the Jews what Bin Laden, Hezbollah, and HAMAS could not, in defaming them on the silver screen”. I wish you could have hyperlinked this. I hope you’re right. I know he supported Rudy, but I wonder now. Either way, Sandler is different, as are his co-writers: Apatow and Smigel, as I recall. Good to see an honest film that praises Israel/America and condemn the evil murdering terrorists. A sick leftist “Jew” like Spielberg should take heed.
