Your Midterm Mandate Is Clear, Republicans: Stop Obama
Obama has made good on that idea, not in taking over the oil companies (yet, though he did hurt them by using the Gulf oil spill to halt offshore drilling), but in taking over two-thirds of the U.S. auto industry, capturing the banking industry and the student loan industry, and via cap and trade and his EPA’s effort to regulate CO2 as a pollutant, working to exert government control over U.S. free enterprise as a whole. And he is working toward this policy in spite of the fact that it’s a proven failure in Europe. In the teeth of rising unemployment, Obama and the Democrats did nothing to help the American company or worker. Instead, they chose to spend money we don’t have on payoffs to their political allies.
Dividing to conquer. Candidate Obama ran as a post-racial, post-partisan unifier. He has governed as an intentional divider, using extreme and even violent rhetoric to keep Americans from uniting against him and his agenda. Consider that just in the past couple of weeks, President Obama has told Republicans that even if the American people vote as a majority to empower them in Congress and statehouses across America, they will be forced to “sit in the back.” That’s a dog whistle line intended to invoke Rosa Parks and the civil rights struggle, only Obama is saying to Republicans that he will force them into the role against which Parks rightly rebelled. He is signaling his intent to stick to his far left policies rather than taking a more Clintonian tack toward the political center. He’s telling the same thing to the majorities who will be electing those Republicans, too, if that’s what happens next week: You, the American people, will sit in the back. “Shut up,” he explained. This is the rhetoric of racial revenge. What will be its lasting impact? Division, which Obama hopes he and his party can exploit into the future.
This president has also called on Hispanic voters to “punish their enemies” by, of course, voting against Republicans who he claims are standing in the way of “comprehensive immigration reform.” That “reform” has been repeatedly rejected by the majority of the American people, but that’s of no concern to Obama. His is a condescending call for Hispanics to vote exclusively based on their race and their perceptions of white Republican voters — perceptions created by decades of Democratic demagoguery and enhanced by Obama himself. And it’s telling that Obama will use the word “enemy” to describe fellow Americans, but won’t use that word to describe the Islamists who are waging war against us.
This president has chided the American people who stand against him for being “scared” and therefore not “thinking clearly.” Speaker Nancy Pelosi has offered her own version of this insult, arguing that the Democrats simply aren’t getting enough credit for what they’ve done.
Looking broadly at all of these comments, it’s clear that Obama is leading a campaign intended to stir up animosity among Americans. He intends to destroy what’s left of our unity.
The representative republic. You cannot fundamentally transform something without engaging in acts of destruction first. Obama has engaged in those acts of destruction.
Since coming to power, Obama has been extraordinarily deferential to the big labor unions. There are two reasons for this. One, the unions are the Democrats’ most reliable source for major campaign donations. And two, he’s philosophically on their side. But what do the unions want that he also wants?
Simply put, they share a desire for power. The unions, which for decades served the vital purpose of keeping the power of the big corporations over the common man in check, have long outlived that role and have themselves become the power they once fought against. They have pushed American industry and education to the point of stagnation. They have pushed pension programs for corporations and states to the brink of bankruptcy. Yet they still want more. So Obama has delivered them control of the auto industry. He has promised them “card check,” a scheme that would allow whole industries to become unionized whether workers want that or not. That is a fundamentally un-democratic position to take, but it’s a sop to his union allies that would transform American industry. He and the left, including of course the unions, have pushed thriving companies like Wal-Mart to unionize against their will. Tellingly, they have left more Democrat-friendly companies headquartered in blue states alone, for now.
He tried to empower ACORN, the far left community organizing entity for which he was one an attorney and trainer, by granting them a role in the U.S. census. They would almost certainly have used that role to corrupt the census, which among other things is the basis for apportioning our electoral maps, which govern how we elect our representatives. He was only stopped in that gambit by an outcry from the American people — and in the discrediting of ACORN itself. But ACORN didn’t dissolve; it’s still alive or merely morphed into other entities that carry on its electoral corruption:
Disturbingly, Project Vote, ACORN’s scandal-plagued voter registration and mobilization division, remains open for business. Project Vote has been part of the ACORN family since at least 1992 when Barack Obama ran a successful voter drive in Illinois.
Although legally separate entities, in practice the two are the same, as the congressional testimony of former ACORN/Project Vote employee Anita MonCrief can attest. They share office space, employees, and budgets. Project Vote continues to operate out of ACORN’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.
Even worse, its voter drive is being run by Amy Busefink, an ACORN employee under indictment in Nevada for violating election laws. It might be understandable for an employer not to fire an employee until she is actually convicted of a crime, but this is ridiculous. Busefink should not be running a voter drive.
Consider for a moment if a Republican had ties to such a corrupt organization, as Obama does to ACORN, how the media would handle it. He has corrupted an already biased media.
Obama and the Democrats used midnight and holiday weekend votes to move their health care takeover bill through Congress along party line votes. They had virtually locked Republicans out of the bill’s crafting, using their raw power to strong arm the entire process. When it was clear that the American people opposed that bill, Obama led the way in passing it anyway, and members of the Congressional Black Caucus smeared Tea Partiers to ramp up the national animosity. The bill came with a gunpoint mandate to buy health insurance or face the government. It turns citizens into subjects. That’s “fundamental transformation.”
And consider his handling of border security and Arizona. That state has suffered greatly from drug war violence in Mexico getting across the border, along with the persistent effects of human trafficking, and the constant stream of migrants walking across the border and camping out on American landowners’ property along the way. Arizona passes a law in an attempt to enhance their own security, and Obama denounces them, and has his Department of Justice sue them — even though a heavy majority of Arizonans and Americans generally support Arizona’s law. In his “enemies” rhetoric, noted above, he has declared the 70% of Americans who support that law to be the enemies of Hispanics, and by putting himself on their side, enemies of the president of the United States and his administration as well.
Taken together, President Obama is intentionally acting against the majority of what the American voters want across a range of issues. He is telling the American people that no matter what they tell him in in the midterm vote or in his job approval polls, he will continue to act against their wishes. This repeated and intentional acting against the voters’ wishes, while casting them as unthinking racists and enemies of minorities, corrupts the republic itself.
The good news in the election trajectory is that it’s clear that a majority of the American people are rising up to stop him before he completes it. This will result in Republican wins, and a mission for the new majority.
Republicans, you have a mission once you retake the House and maybe the Senate. This is not one of those “should you choose to accept it” kind of missions. The people expect you to accept it, and you will face their wrath very soon if you don’t. That mission is simple: Stop Obama from fulfilling his mission of “fundamentally transforming” America.
That means repealing ObamaCare and restoring the free market, en route to real free market reform. That means stopping cap and trade in its tracks. That means reining in federal spending, restoring the state-federal balance of power, and stopping this divisive president at every turn. It means not sitting in back, as he demands, or moving his way at all, but leading in restoring free enterprise and the government’s rightful place in relation to its bosses, the citizens. If you don’t lead, Obama will try to regain his footing by dividing you and the country, again. He’s already telegraphing that he will “fight the Republicans day and night” after the midterms. Dividing the country and behaving as an ideologue are things he knows how to do.
Squishy Republicans like Lindsay Graham will try to move the GOP toward the president. That would be a mistake, both from a policy point of view and a tactical point of view. Voters aren’t sending Republicans to Washington to work with President Obama, but to stop him. And they’re not doing that out of spite, but because Obama’s policy ideas are proven disasters for the country.
So there’s your mandate, Republican Congress. You’re talking the right game now. Make sure you follow through once you’re actually in power.

Two thumbs up — way up — to all that. There can’t be much doubt that the political tsunami that is about to swamp Democrats is directly related to voters’ outrage over Obama’s ridiculous agenda.
I’m no “dittohead” (if Rush Limbaugh is still using that term), but I have to admit: The man was on target last year when he said he was rooting for Obama to fail in the pursuit of his radical goals. Limbaugh received a lot of criticism from the MSM (which took the comment out of context), but he stood his ground.
In five short days, a majority of Americans will resoundingly indicate that they agree with Rush: Barack Obama’s plan for America is a frighteningly awful one. Voters will be sending new politicians to D.C. with a clear mandate: stop Obama’s plan in its tracks (and reverse the damage already done by it). ASAP!
The Republicans need to stand up to Obama if there is a landslide on November 2nd. They need to come up with a budget that will reduce the size of government, cut spending, cut taxes, and defund Obamacare if they can’t repeal it outright. Obama will no doubt veto the budget, but the Republicans need to stand firm and not compromise. Compromise will only lead to disaster like it did when Gingrich caved in to Clinton in the 1990s. Nope, even if the Government shuts down, the Republicans need to hold firm because they were sent to Washington to DO these things, not to become RINOs and continue this massive spending. And, unlike the 1990s, there are many more outlets to get out the message of Democratic obstruction, such as the Internet and Cable TV. People already know that Obama is a big-spending liberal, so people will expect the Republicans to stand up to him. It CAN work this time. All the Republicans need to do is stand by the principles that got them elected. That would be a refreshing change, wouldn’t it?
Luckily, the President does not sign and cannot veto the Congressional Budget
Resolution.
Great article but I disagree with this statement.
He has corrupted an already biased media.
Bias is a form of corruption and incompetence. Obama would not have been elected but for a corrupt and clueless media.
“We can’t expect the American people to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they wake up one day to find that they have Communism.” – Nikita Kruschev
stop the the spread of this destructive ideology!
Corporatists within the GOP would like you to believe that PRIVATIZATION and CORPORATE CONTROL of the USA is in the people’s best interests.
Mandate? Ha. The GOP is slime. Electing republicans is sheer insanity. Squealing about “personal freedom” while forcing women to abide by YOUR religious views. Squealing about “deficits” while pumping TRILLIONS into the military industrial complex to fight illegal wars? WHere are the WMD’s again?? Squealing about the “global warming hoax” while any credible scientist and even your own empirical observation tells you that it IS happening?
What has happened to the GOP? Have they finally stopped pretending to be “for the people” and now embrace being the complicit shills of corporations that are bound and determined to enslave us all, destroy our environment and funnel our tax dollars into their own coffers?
BUST UP THE UNIONS! PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY! PRIVATIZE MEDICARE!! PRIVATIZE THE MILITARY AND EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS! SAY NO TO FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT!! FREE MARKET RADICALISM TO THE RESCUE!!!
Give me a break. You teapartiers were SILENT on the issues that created the DISASTERS, now you want to BLAME and OBSTRUCT the people who would fix them! LOL.
Let me guess.. you think the Citizen’s United ruling was a good idea… Hahahahahaaa Suckers.
As conservatives we have the ability to recognize and ignore garbage. Hence the lack of response to your ignorant ranting post. 1/1/06 – after 6 years of Republican president and congress the DOW was at 13000 and unemployment was at 4.9 percent. Democrats have run this country into the ground:
10% unemployment and rising
Record foreclosures
Crashed the housing Market courtesy of Barney Frank and Dodd
Record food stamps
Massive unstainable spending and debt. Fiscally irresponsible – didn’t even pass a budget. Bunch of adolescents.
President who is incapable of telling the truth ever.
Media who spread lies and propoganda that pea-brained sheep like you Winston buy hook line and sinker.
Not much for free speech are ya? Should I post as a corporation? hahaha.
Whats-a-matter? Afraid your corporate funded propaganda won’t hold up under scrutiny? Haha. Typical republicans.
I have a new logo for the GOP because there has been a lot of left wing hot air about the GOP being the party of no to Obama’s lame Marxist ideas. It is GNOP! Or GnOP. I am proud to the idea that we are saying NO to this idiot and his liberal minions. No is a valuable tool at times and this is one of them. Look at a few; “Do you want me to pull your tooth?”, “Can I have all of your money?”, “Do you beat your wife?”,”Do you want to fundamentally change your country into a socialist state?”. See how no can be a useful tool sort of like the idiot above,AKA winston smith.
Ah, Orwell was right, Winston. You really do love Big Brother.
“Ah, Orwell was right, Winston. You really do love Big Brother.”
…says the supporter of domestic wiretaps, the PATRIOT ACT and “enhanced interrogation.”
Yes, all that has changed now that the former junior Senator from Illinois is President. Gitmo has closed, the Patriot Act has been repealed, the wars are over, enhanced interrogations and renditions have stopped, and George W. Bush is on trial for war crimes. What a difference a couple of years makes.
I’m getting real tired of hearing Republicans tell us, “We cannot Repeal Obmamcare this time around, we’ll have to wait for 2012.”
Why?
Because Obama will Veto any such legislation.
So? What’s your point?
LET HIM!
But don’t demonstrate that your are a bunch of spineles wimps because he is going to veto any bill that accomplishes its goal weather vetoed or not.
Show us that you mean business or we’ll start looking for someone (or another party) who does.
Well submit the bill over and over make small insignificant changes to it each time it is submitted! The answer is definitely no if you do not even try!
The American people will get the message and become even more against him ensuring that he might not even get the nomination if he wanted it for 2012!
Most of the country wants this legislation either outright repealed or at the very least de-funded!
There is a grain of truth, but much missing, in the article. It is true that the far left wing of the Democratic party took control of the nation in the last election, a reaction to the melt down in the capital markets, and two unending wars. They have tried to move the nation to the left, but the hope and change has been exposed as phony. This is a center right country, the curse of the ivy league liberals.
However the Republicans have been stone deaf in hearing the legitimate concerns of the voters. This caused the growth of the Tea Party. The TP candidates will come to Washington with zero obligation to the Republican establishment, and is some cases, in spite of opposition from that “rich old white guys” group. Americans want an alternative between the power of Wall Street fat cats, or mafia type union activists. For unfathomable reasons, the Republicans do not reach out to blacks and Hispanics, the most culturally conservative voting blocks in America. They fill our military. They fill our churches. They populate ubiquitous small businesses. They have experienced generations of voting Democratic with zero benefits to show for it. Both parties write them off. The party that freed the slaves, lost their allegiance due to stupidity, or racism, which is the same thing.
The other error is to simply be the No party. If the Republicans let this label stick, they will become the minority party again. They must present popular policies leading to an improved America, founded on conservative principles. As exemplified by Winston Smith’s comments above, they are hated as fraudulent quislings of “rich old white guys”, with some justification. Their choices are clear: evolve into an inclusive merit based social movement, or be destroyed by big brother proponents who hate unbridled corporate power.
The message is clear:
IMPEACH him, if you really want to stop him.
Otherwise, it’s more of the same gridlock for another six years because he will be re-elected as the economy (artificially) will recover in 2012 and the Boehner Republicans won’t have the guts to confront him.
Great video history and why we should have seen the warning signs. President Obama is not going to change course, he has already stated he will fight the Republicans day and night after they get the House and maybe the Senate.
http://www.bluecollarphilosophy.com/2010/10/obama-vows-to-fight-gop-after-democrats.html
Obama will hand the Democrats a historic defeat but he does not seem to care. He is so committed to the “transformation” of America that he willing to commit political suicide. Maybe we should call him the Kamikaze President?
Please do not call him the Kamikaze President.
1) It would insult the Japanese, who went kamikaze because of their undying loyalty to the Emperor and his beliefs.
2) A kamikaze is a really delicious alcoholic concoction that would subsequentially leave a bad taste in my mouth if Obama was associated with it.
The first order of business, is to understand why Democrats are being punished in this upcoming election. Republicans are not being “rewarded”, they are being entrusted.
Secondly, Republicans have to understand…just as activist judges must be made to understand something that is blurred and muddied in today’s legislative and judicial seats. It’s NOT YOUR DAMN SEAT, IT’S OURS…you are just sitting in it.
It’s not your courtroom. It is not your right to have “pork” for “your district” or yourself.
Third, it NOT YOUR DAMN MONEY. When voting on legislation, Republicans need to remember that the money they are “spending” doesn’t belong to them.
Fourth, if you can’t deliver a message…get off the podium. I’m sorry, but if one were to grade Republicans on their ability to advance the narrative of the overwhelming majority of the people of this land of ours, they would be repeating this course for the 50th time. You don’t fight leftist extremism, with chuckleheads who couldn’t win a debate in America against Karl Marx OR Harpo Marx.
Before you take office as a new Republican Congress, read Stanley Kurtz’ book, every word, cover to cover. If you don’t understand what you are up against, you will either capitulate when you shouldn’t or fight battles that are bear traps to clamp onto your legs.
Tell the people what you are saying “no” to, by telling them what is really being planted into the mountains of UNREAD AND HIDDEN legislation.
And then, have a plan…take it to the PEOPLE first…and then put it into legislative action. Not the reverse order. If…and most likely when…the Democrats shoot it down, THEY will bear the brunt of the reprisal.
Finally, quit playing the old media game on their turf. If they are going to constantly lie about you, smear you, distort your message, hide the truth…why are you still giving them credibility? If they won’t play fair…then stop playing with them. Use the outlets that will give you a fair shake and squeeze the life out of the liars who won’t. You aren’t changing them…they have been changing you.
If the other side is going to “reward their friends and punish their enemies”, you are fools if you reward your enemies and punish your friends. Fight back against media bias and distortion as if your life depended on it…more importantly, fight back as if OUR lives depended on it.
The great challenge of Republican majorities in Congress during the final two years of Obama’s presidency will be to keep from being seduced. There will be two critical centers of seduction: the president’s ability to speak directly to the public, and his most important allies, the Old Media.
Theodore Roosevelt was first to recognize the power of the president’s “bully pulpit.” He used it freely and without remorse. Obama, though he’s inarticulate without a teleprompter, is likely to use it to the hilt once GOP majorities are positioned to thwart his agenda. It will pose a severe challenge, as the Republicans don’t yet have an equally articulate spokesman of national stature.
As for the Old or Mainstream Media, their loyalties cannot be doubted. They’ll attempt to color every disagreement between the White House and Capitol Hill as GOP kowtowing to “Big Business” or “the religious right.” Their influence is declining, but it’s still considerable, and might be enough to cow a number of Republican legislators into compromising in matters where the moral and Constitutional issues are quite clear.
I hope a lot of really bright minds are at work on the question of how to keep Republicans in Congress loyal to their nominal small-government / free-market ideology. It’s been difficult in the past; it will get more so in the future.
I just can’t wait to read your comments on November 3rd after the GOP fails to take back Congress. You guys failed in every single category when you had power, haven’t owned up to your failures, and your pitiful new “Pledge” indicates that you won’t change a single failed policy. Try as they may, FOX News, Karl Rove and FreedomWorks have failed to convince Americans that the Tea Party represents anything other than the GOP in different clothing; it won’t save your party from the ignominy it deserves. There is no “Tea Party wave”. Your candidates stink and everyone knows it. The Dems are getting out to vote big time. If you guys want power back, you need to make a better case as to why you deserve it. Screaming SOSHULIZUM!!1! isn’t going to cut it.
Teleprompter! Mustard! Arugula! Birth certificate! Socialism!
All the GOP has left is… empty rhetoric!
I blame Palin.
Hey, which one of “you” two “people” is the Funhouse Mirror?
Why not just post as Smith Time?
Buy two cell phones, call, and have a pretend conversation! So Bay Area!
Wow, How Silly Smith Time!
wrong again.
“wrong again.” Sure Kyber. “Whats-a-matter?” Well, “again”.
Smith Time, you know about previous Persons Galore Liars. Of course. Same old Liar.
The Funhouse Mirror laughs at its reflection, “again”.
“hahaha.” ”Haha”. “hahaha.” ”Haha”.
Where is How Silly? Born Senseless? “hahaha.” ”Haha”. “hahaha.” ”Haha”. Liar.
Whatever.
There are so many people out of work now. Could you tell us how much you get paid per post and where we might obtain similar employment from Mr. Soros to help us survive until the great Utopia is installed?
Ask the GOP why they gave tax-breaks to companies that sent your job overseas. Ask them why they want to further DEREGULATE the financial sector, the ones who drained your 401K and then ran to BushJr for a TAXPAYER FUNDED BAILOUT. Ask them about privatizing your medicare or social security. Ask them why they support allowing foreign corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money (without disclosure) on US campaigns.
Why aren’t some companies hiring? It’s called a capital strike, and it’s supported by the US Chamber of Commerce. It’s when corporations won’t hire or spend money in order to give the impression that certain economic strategies don’t work. They are doing it because they want more PRO-CORPORATE tax-breaks and loopholes, just like they got under BushJr. Look up their tax-rates and compare them to your own. YOU pay a higher percentage of your income than millionaires! And they’re sending your job to Mexico! LOL! Keep blaming the boogieman George Soros, though. It’s what Glenn Beck, FoxNews and the CORPORATIST GOP would want you to do.

Corporations will side with the winning team, no matter the party. It’s called buying influence. Go read the Citizen’s United ruling if you need more info.
The (R)’s are masters of the corporate handout, wouldn’t you agree?
Anyway, I’m glad you agree that there should be more regulations on which CORPORATIONS get our tax-dollars.
You do know that TARP loans are loans?
I keep hearing about tax breaks for companies that off-shore jobs. ‘Don’t suppose you actually know what they are and when they were passed, do you? The US has some of the highest effective corporate tax rates for manufacturers in the world. Between that and union extortion, who wouldn’t make the obvious business decision?
I do agree that the Republicans shouldn’t have caved to Frank’s and the rest of the Freddie/Fannie crooks’ objections to regulation. Do you have examples of this supposed deregulation? Who voted for and signed them?
Effective tax rates Poor people don’t pay higher tax rates. That’s total BS. The lowest quintile has a negative
Federal income tax rate.
Whoa, you’ve convinced me, Winston. I’m going to switch from Republican to Democrat.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Mr. Smith
I hate to see people lose their credibility simply because they fail to learn facts that are historically supported through the present.
The Socialist Democrat Party (formerly Democrat Party)have historically made if overt knowledge from all their writing that they are anti-capitalist and willing to do whatever progressively necessary to destroy capitalism.
Now comes the part you fail to espouse upon when you comment that Americas economic industries have fled from American soil. LABOR UNIONS! They are quite overt about being a historical arm of the socialist parties (and earlier the communist party) in America and internationally. The labor unions introduced greed and corruption to America’s economic industries! The labor unions drove America’s economic industries from our soil! The socialist activists in a wide array of movments formulating government regulations compounding the labor unions influences on our economic industries drove them from our soil.
So the folks from the socialist movements have nobody to blame but yourselves for America’s economic industries leaving our soil. If you think your socialist ideologies are so good take a look at Europe and have a talk with their currwnt government leadership. They will give you some insight! Your socialism not only destroys sustainable economies, it destroys the freedoms and dignty of all the humans it touches. There is NO equality among anything in nature to include human life but, in traditional America we give the right of equal opportunity to everybody. Surely, there must be some place on earth that you would feel more beneficial to your ideology and, travel today, certainly doesn’t restrict you from going there.
Glad to see you are so sure of yourself, but the problem is that you are wrong and will be proven so quite early on the second in the fact that the vote will be so overwhelmingly against democrats but not necessarily for republicans that many races will be called rather quickly and the few that are tossups might take a little longer even more than a week or so with recounts and what not!
Keep your sunny attitude and as a matter of fact you should be certain enough of yourself as to not even have to vote, hey I have an idea since you are so sure why don’t you and all you buddies just sit around election day and then talk about how big a landslide the democrats will have, but not even vote yourself!
All the republicans need are the stones to stand up. The people will speak next Tuesday and the message is clear. They are not buying obama’s demagoguery. All the smears, the hate, the class warfare, the phony charges of racism just don’t fly with the people. Stand up, say no when necessary, advance your ideas, stick to your guns. Sticking with conservative principles is a no brainer. They work. Pass your own agenda in congress. Let his highness veto as he pleases. You will be making a record upon which to dethrone him in 2012.
Winston – you need to back off on the Kool-Aid consumption.
After the elections, the GOP needs to remember what the totalitarians said just after the last elections: “We won”.
Period.
A victory now against the totalitarians will be anyway only the first step of a long fight to roll back the ideologies that are polluting the country: class-warfare, internationalism, pseudo multi culturalism and real support to the islamic supremacism.
Even if the Republicans could win both houses, rolling back the damage that Obama has done will not come for years. The GOP will be cast as the party of “no” and Obama will be the President of veto.
Now is the chance to stop the fundamental transformation of our nation in it’s tracks. Restoring our nation to one of liberty and opportunity will not occur until Obama is out of office.
What is of utmost importance is that we remain strong and resolute in the next two years. Things may not get better, but at least we won’t be marched toward a socialist state like the kind that Obama’s father dreamed of.
Your Midterm Mandate Is Clear, Republicans: Stop
Obamaprogress. What’s that term you right wingers use…FIFY?
“Well, progress is a very flexible word. It can mean just about anything you want it to mean.”
Doctor Who
No matter how large or small the victory, it is only the first small step in ridding our country of the vermin that have taken over the government.
Obama won’t stop his jihad against America, and we can’t rest in our efforts to cast him and his handlers out.
It isn’t a matter of right or wrong. It isn’t a matter of justice. It isn’t a matter of restoring sanity.
It’s a matter of survival. Either he is stopped or your children will live as serfs. Don’t think for a second that the choice is anything less than that. If you don’t already know, in the 10,000 years of civilization, there has only been one brief period of time where common people were free, and that is the last 230 years. Obama and people like him have chafed at that from the first moment.
Vote for freedom or vote for serfdom. It’s that simple.
Unless, of course, you see overwhelming evidence that the great compromiser will begin to see things your way.
@ 19. BC: Stop the _Progressives_ (Hemmed your Freudian slip.
The Democratic party is in 2nd place and Obama is a distant 3rd,
to a runaway daydream turned nightmare which cannot stop expanding
Govt. spending, even when it is clear that the Govt. is bankrupt,
and worse, is opposed to all the fundamental changes necessary
for reform and recovery.
Let me make one thing clear: No one, not even you, BC, is threatened
by a peaceful pacifist like me, but I do have the Second Sight, and
I see a lot of people, including you, being very surprised when they
_personally_ get caught in the gears as ‘The Machine Stops’.
The message of the Tea Party and the rest of the reformers should be:
This is not _any_ kind of politics, this is a matter of socioeconomic
survival; The creation of jobs, and new wealth, must start _now_
before the rest of the world loses hope in the US and stops lending
us money.
OBAMA IS NOT “THE” PROBLEM!
The underlying causes perpetuated upon our nation during the past 100 (+) years is the real problem! The real issue to confront, combat and reverse is the decades of socialist-progressive creep in our government from the early 20th century to the present. The house remodel analogy is is a poor one as there will be about 50% who like it as it is and the other approximate 50% will want a remodel much like the national and political environment of today. A better analogy would be that of war. What is “worth” fighting for and what is not worth fighting for. The communist, socialist-progressives are not going away by way of the ballot box. In fact, they are represented through the Democrat Party as a national majority at the ballot boxes!
The Democrat Party has become the overt surrogate mother to the communist, socialist-progressive parties and movements. The GOP has, since the 60′s, become a party of enablers and compromisers to the socialist movement. Now more recently, the GOP is becoming the surrogate mother for the anarchist parties and movements, known currently, as Libertarians. Add to the GOP a third element of division known as the “Conservatives” who purport themselves to be of a fiscal and constitutional “Christian” political ideology.
The GOP has become a splintered rag-tag party incapable of mounting a war front against the socialists taking over the country and the government. Likewise, the new Tea party is a rag-tag accumulation of incompetents who’s only platform is to complain while assigning their loyality as yet another splinter faction of the failed GOP. They had a wonderful opportunity to be a movement accross all party lines representing the Traditional America and all the values that made us once such a mighty and successful nation.
In the meantime while, all the factions of the GOP are busy trying to replace the moderate centrists of the GOP, the radical socialists of the Democrat Party are busy trying to oust their moderate centrists.
Results? A hundred year old (+) precisely organized and centric socialist party being in a slight minority position against a splintered rag-tag multi-faceted GOP with a slight majority position, having NO will or even a clue of how to address the real underlying problems of government and the nation. Their only rhetoric is stop the spending, reduce the debt and reduce the size and restore a constitutional government. Has anybody read their strategic plan to accomplish those things? I mean a “real” comprehensive viable plan! Of course not! They don’t have one! So, continues GOVERNMENT GRIDLOCK, CONGRESSIONAL DIVISION AND A CONTINUED MEAN SPIRITED DIVISION OF THE PEOPLE without any common grounds of unity to heal the nation of it’s illnesses.
If Obama is progress, then Lex Luthor is Superman.
Obama received 52% of the votes cast. However, only 58% of the electorate turned out for that election. 58% * 52% = 30%. That’s right. Only 3 of 10 eligible voters were enough to saddle us with Obama.

Interesting data you present. However, there is no way of telling who are actually “eligible voters” vs registered voters with the laws being as they are and, the census not particularly interested in legal citizens vs illegal.
Also, approximately 9 States represent over half of our population.
Factually, registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans nationally and most of those nine States are predominately Democrat. This is the result of decades of strategic economic consolidation and centralization which has long been a strategy of the socialist movements.
