Obama Wins Wyoming Caucus
[New items on top]
ABC News: Obama takes Wyoming
CNN: Obama ahead 59-40, with 78% of precincts reporting.
AP: “Obama led Clinton 61 percent to 38 percent with 11 of 23 counties reporting.”
Slate: Do the Wyoming caucuses matter? Nope.
Reuters: “With a long history of firsts in women’s rights, Wyoming would seem to be a state primed to put its stamp on the presidential aims of Sen. Hillary Clinton, but experts say that doesn’t seem likely.”
NYT: “[Clinton's] presence in Wyoming, along with her two leading surrogates – her husband and her daughter, Chelsea – underscores how the race has become a pitched battle for each of the remaining 12 contests, which could help determine the Democratic nominee.”
CNN: Obama, Clinton rustle up support in Wyoming
LA Times: “Normally, it is not much fun being a Democrat here. The sparsely populated state — with half a million residents, it ranks 50th in the nation — has 59,130 registered Democrats, compared with 136,000 Republicans.”
Washington Wire: “Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are finally getting a little me-time. Or as they say in politics: the candidates are “down” this weekend. Wyoming will hold a Democratic Caucus on Saturday, but neither candidate will be stumping in the capital of Cheyenne.”
AP: “Clinton’s campaign has sought to set low expectations for the Saturday caucuses in Wyoming as well as next week’s primary in Mississippi, states where her campaign believes Obama has a better shot at winning.”
MyDD: “I’m watching Hillary Clinton’s townhall in Laramie, WY on CNN.com and I’m really struck by the distinct shift in tone and mood on display at the event. Remember the sort of desperation that seemed to characterize Clinton’s appearances a couple of weeks ago? Today there is a calmness and a sense of confidence in her demeanor”
AP: “Twelve national convention delegates are at stake Saturday in caucuses around the state, a small but critical prize in the close race for the party’s nod. The epic battle between Clinton and Obama has given the state’s Democrats-outnumbered more than 2-to-1 by Republicans-a relevancy they haven’t experienced in a presidential race in nearly 50 years.”
Newsweek: Hillary, Obama tied in the latest national poll by the newsmagazine.

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)
If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose
husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose
husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose
husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose
husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary’s than they had ever been before or since.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton.
Best regards

I’m a woman and citizen of America.
We have to remember that people have ‘power’.
If the nomination taken away from Obama, it will prove that America is a crap country to the world because the world’s watching this election very closely.
As Obama said, “change starts bottom-up, not from top to bottom” and “change is hard”, we, the people, have to work together and support Obama’s call to support “what we believe in”.
This election is not just about president of our country, it’s also about Obama inspiring the younger generation to walk on a moral, honest, dignified path to lead this country and the world.
Obama 08
Obama will win, he does all the caucus’ except nevada..Latinos don’t get intimidated!!! thats how Obama wins most of his votes!
We should never have caucus’ everyone should vote privately this way we avoid being intimidated.
Sorry folks thats the way it is and thats what we look forwrd to..
God forbid if he should loose, all you Hillary Clinton supporters that have Hillary’s sticker on your cars, or Hillary boards on your lawns..beter remove them your likely to be hurt! Get Ready for that old intimidation. The media has already said it!!! There will be riots they said… Those of you that have not been thru riots get ready!
If you are trying to get my vote, I would caution you not to criticize the process that will help you get elected. The caucus process is confusing but your vote counts just the same as a primary. Telling me its not an “election” so its doesn’t count is not the way to get my vote. If HRC believes this then why show-up and ask for my support, if it doesn’t mean anything because it’s not an “election”.
Watching a caucus out of Wyoming on CNN this afternoon, a shot of an auditorium, mostly empty, but I was intrigued by the separation of the seats. In one section only African Americans were seated, and the other sections, white and other Americans. That seems to be the theme of this Presidential election, and frankly, I think it stinks. Somehow this election has become a racially based contest, especially when I saw poor Congressman John Lewis, who had been a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter announced that he was throwing his support to Obama. He was so distressed making this announcement, what I had suspected seemed to be so. Even Donna Brazile who for many years was a personal and professional friend of the Clintons, recently withdrew and claims she is neutral. Before that public announcement from Brazile was made, a news clip said she is abandoning the Clinton team and switching over to Obama. During this campaign, I have seen many such defections from heretofore strong friends and allies, in the African American community, of both Clintons, and this switch, en masse, indicates this is a racial campaign. Knowledge of, and experience in, the workings of Washington and the diplomatic scene that desperately needs repair, does not seem to count. Just the skin color. That scares me. The media is giving the Clintons a rough time, the negatives being dredged up that were settled during the Clinton administration, are suddenly rearing their ugly head again, and there is no shortage of Obama allies who continue to drag this trash through the media. Obama must be undercover. He only appears when making a speech, or giving a press interview. All negatives are either surpressed or glossed over, for instance his affiliation with a supposedly Christian church, whose pastor is a former Black Panther. Louis Farrakhan an avowed anti-semite and anti-white received that church’s highest honor, and supports Obama as well. And Samatha Power’s ‘monster’ remark is now, after two days, dead. And we mustn’t forget Tony Rezko, on trial now for corruption and other crimes, who financed Obama’s campaigns, helped Obama buy his $1.35 million house. If screw ups attributed to the Clinton that are more than 20 years old have surfaced again, how come current negative events in Obama’s life are glossed over. That’s why I think this campaign is deliberatly manipulated to score the racial issue, and the media mavens are eager to perpetuate this method of conducting a political campaign. I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of us.
Did it ever occur to you that people in the auditorim choose to sit where they sit – there are no assigned seats. And, where are Clnton’s tax returns? where are the Clinton library papes? You support a politician whose startegy is to sling mud and roll in the ditches? Sorry, that is not the candidate I wish to support. Obama is everything that Clinton and McCain are not – new politics, not same old, same old. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was when Clinton praised John McCain rather then support a candidate in her own party. I could think of worse things to call Clinton then ‘monster.’
It never seem to amazed me the racist comments that is sprewed on these blogs. I have so much respect for the mid west in choosing a candidate and not buying into the media hogwash. The standard line from Hillary supporters is that only AFRICAN AMERICANS voting for Obama because he is black. Yeah..Yeah…intelligent people are not buying what you are selling. America needs to grow up and suspense with the RACISMS. Apparently, the youths has out grown their elderly. They say that America’s heartland is in the mid west. I say let it beat…beat to a new “CHANGE”
I know all the hick states like Wyoming are trying to be global by choosing a black candidate and not a real intelligent woman like Hillary. But think about this. Think of one government that is run by blacks and give me one example of success. You can’t. You know why? There is none. Have you ever been around blacks? The states that are voting for Obama are mostly white states that don’t have blacks living near them. Why don’t you visit New York or Detroit or Gary, Indiana sometime and see how the real blacks live. The states that have a more even mixture of blacks and whites voted for Hillary. Example:New York,New Jersey, Massachusetts, Texas,Rhode Island,Ohio,California, Florida, Michigan. You think Obama is the new hope? Think again.
Who cares another RED STATE win/
It is so simple, Republican states go out vote for Obama! It has no credit for me! Obama can not win an election without winning abig state? So far he did not win any!!!
Those small red states like WYoming , idaho, Utah will never ever vote democrat in November anyway! Clinton is the real candidate!
The National ENIQUIRER has a story on Sen. Obama. March 17, 2008. The is a seed of truth in every Rumor.
DNC, seat our FL delegates! If the Democratic Party gives the nomination to Obama and does not count FL delegates , all the Jewish organizations will unite against Obama and urge Hillary supporters to vote for John McCain! I am serious! They may even loose NY!
Don’t forget it was a caucus, I witnessed Texas caucus. His supporters suppressed the vote. I don’t think they truly are democrats…first time voters who do not know the importance of respect. I saw the videos. This is sad. I think these naive buffoons don’t realize that OBAMA NOR CLINTON will not have the delegates. IT is simple, reach magic number and you are the candidate, if NOT, it is decided at the convention. This has happened many times before in history. RESPECT THE RIGHT TO VOTE.
Obama won big in WY. What are they going to say now?…
Hillary doesn’t get it yet! people don’t like or care about her, her old deceiving politics.
Some people made bad comments about blacks or any other race because they don’t see the big picture, they don’t understand how USA is made. I feel sorry for them…..We Americans need to be united not divided….

Getting called out as a Bullshiter by a Prime Minster and a Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
Good Work Hillary.
That she lied about Ireland too is not as dangerous as the stuff she and that lying husband of hers are trying to pull now re: her being Pres. and mr. Obama VP, oh my god are they for real. The superdelegates better look through this BS right now or all you Americans are really going to be in trouble not only at home but across the world, if you even for a moment intertain the thought of re-installing that 3 ring circus they brought with them last time. I will and have been praying for Mr.Obama, and YES WE CAN
Of course Obama won, its a caucus and people are intimidated!
Most of the people are afraid to go to these caucus’ there has been much intimidation for the Obama vote.
Well People get ready for living a life of intimidation, loosing the freedom of open speech.
Obama will only bring us dispair and the media will be the blame. They have given Obama a free pass, they have withheld information or down played in order to give him the free pass: Example: Did Obama attend the Black Caucus in New Orlean, Did he support his own people? He did not attend and why I wonder, well he already has the Black vote, why should he attend.
Now how many of you heard this from the media. The black Caucus convention was on Cspan for about 8 hours every influential black was three, the people were wonderful, the guests were terrific and it was inspiering, but our Friend Obama was too busy campaigning and turned his back on his people, why bother he has their votes anyway.. By the Way Hillary was there and These people had already voted and would not vote for her, but she was there becasue she had already comminted just like Obama, She left her important campaigning, he did not..He turned his back on his own people! Or did he forget he was black? and he will when he gets nominated. His association with Farrahkan, a jew and white hater, this is his friend., Wake up America!!!
