Jose Baez, the lead defense attorney in the high-profile Casey Anthony case, has lambasted the prosecution for the weakness of the case:

“I have never seen a high-profile case that is so weak as the Zimmerman case,” Baez told Lauren Rowe on WKMG-Channel 6′s “Flashpoint.” The program aired Sunday morning.

Baez said he based his view on the evidence and not on his representing Chris Serino, the lead Sanford police investigator in the case. “I just think looking at the overall case, it’s extremely weak,” Baez said. “I had that opinion from very early on in the case.”

Baez cited several reasons for his take on the Zimmerman evidence: The only eyewitness says that Martin was on top during the fight, and Zimmerman told law enforcement he was screaming for help during the fight, a point backed up by a 911 tape.

It remains to be seen if the state will continue the case against Zimmerman now that their best witness has severely damaged her credibility, and what the ramifications will be publicly and politically if the case is no longer tenable.

This is the exact type of atrocity that makes people rich.
I'll help Zimmerman sue Jackson & Sharpton to hell and back, along with every single person involved in the false prosecution of this case. That includes the parents of Martin.
If these people aren't prosecuted for their racial incitement and false testimony, then Our system of jurisprudence is irretrievably wrecked.
No one, of any race or ethnic makeup, should be subject to any hint of this type of treatment in the United States justice system, or We are no better than North Korea.

From all the evidence that has been made public, the detention of Zimmerman has been a travesty from day one. I am not a fan of big damage awards, but I hope some enterprising trial lawyer gets hold of Zimmerman after he is cleared and sues the ever loving hell out of Florida.

At this point, I think the best outcome is to have a well-publicized trial that presents the evidence supporting Zimmerman's claims, whereupon the prosecutor admits that he has not case and drops the charges. This will publicize the weakness of the case and Zimmerman's likely innocence, which is what must be done to reduce the extent of rioting.

This is part of the last ditch efforts of the Obama Democrats and their criminal press and their (lL)Legal Ambulance chasers. They will stoop to any subterfuge, fabricate any slander and murder by proxy, physically and ethically. Zimmermans response should be how can I get my life back and 2 billion dollars that the liberal press owes me for bringing horrendous, egregious defamation of character that may be terminal for him. Shame on the (In)Justice Department for their renegade political hits. To all people I say we have to hold responsible those who use this to foment race war. War it is. War it shall be, unless responsible citizens stop the madness. Is this the country we leave our progeny?

The state of Florida should be required to pay Mr.Zimmerman's court costs ten-fold AND hire him as a police shooting instructor.

I don't know. Being a White-Latino should prove Zimmerman's guilt all on it's own. Isn't it time to re-try the Duke LaCrosss team ? They were, after all, 100% White. Or how about the Claremont Colleges gal who cried 'racisim !' when it was proven by cameras that she had vandalized her own car ?

What, Tawana Brawley could not be reached for comment ?

Even if all charges against George Zimmerman are dropped, the damage is done. There will always be people who believe he is a murderer, based simply on what Jackson and Sharpton ginned up. Can he ever feel safe again?

This proves it. Here we have the left wing media and it's supporters in a bind. They tried the case and concluded that Zimmerman should be hanged.

Now it turns out that the star witness for the prosecution is a perjurer X 2. And where are Sharpton and Jackson? They have their best running shoes on and are about to set a new world record for running a marathon with both feet in their mouths.

Jesse Jackson was a guest speaker at my school back when I was a public school teacher. He was a rambling and inarticulate, and came off sounding like an absolute babbling fool. The fact that he still has so much public influence is absolutely depressing.

And look at AL Sharpton. He was hired by a major network for a talk show. How much more inarticulate can you get???

Perjury, smerjury.
We're going to have a circus trial in Florida, and Zimmerman will be convicted. He'll be sent up the river to Starke, but in a couple years his conviction will be overturned on appeal and he'll be released.

I keep seeing statements like this. The prosecution doesn't get to pick the jurors. In our system the defense has much more power to shape a jury than does the prosecution. Judges also don't like being overturned on appeal. He is going to throw out most of the prosecution's evidence. If the case goes to trial I wouldn't be surprised if the judge grants the defense's traditional request for a directed verdict of acquital.

At this point Zimmerman holds all the aces. I doubt very much this case will be tried. If I were Zimmerman's lawyer I would be telling the prosecutor that I am going "Mike Nifong" her if she takes this trail That's my deal we won't get you disbarred for gross misconduct if you drop this loser of a case.
