Here’s a short distillation of the Obama administration’s main proposals on “health care”, translated into English.

Since Congresscritters like John Conyers, pumping hard for the public option, don’t really understand the thing, it helps John (maybe even you) that somebody went to the trouble to “evaluate” the convoluted verbiage of HR3200.

You know, tell you what the thing says in language even John Conyers might understand.

Aha, you are a phsyician. Congrats. Doing research on health care. Uh Huh. Well, I am a physician doing health care. Bit of a sublte difference, eh? Ezekiel Emmanuel is also a physician researching health care. I beleive he has suggested we dump the Hypocratic Oath and pay attention to the needs of society rather than our patients. Really? Just because I comment about the low intelligence level of these blogs you feel the need to label me as a supporter of a Fidel Castro, Cuban health care system? I don’t believe there is a physician out there that supports a governmental agency dictating the level of care a patient should receive. Health insurance companies already attempt to do that today and in some cases it negatively impacts patient care. I couldn’t be more opposed to a State-run single-payor system. Tommy Daschle, another Obama point men on “healthcare” is also deep into notions of some government bureaucrat deciding level of care your “loved one” might receive as a function of said bureaucrat making that determination. (Tommy couldn’t be out front as Obama’s HHS Secretary due to some major personal tax issues, as you may recall)

“healthcare” needs improvement in this country, delivery, cost, quality etc., but this particular government power grab ain’t the route.

I realize that we are not as literate as the folk who throng to the Huff Post. But. pf course, it is difficult to compete wsithd the brain dead. I am sure that you are earnestly investigating the current state of health care. Forgive me, but you are so misinformed, so uneducated, so completely clueless (I am sure that at least that regisgters), that I would have very difficult time discussing the matter with you. You see, I do it, every day, and you just fantasize.
