Republicans, Bush, they didn't screw up at all. Remember back when Clinton was in office. He was rightly taking advantage of the Reagan's success to improve things, and took good advantage of it too, and it benefited us all. But Clinton was a Democrat, and made cuts to our military and did other Democrat things.

Well, Bush, came in and suddenly had to contend with rebuilding part of the military, but Democrats, if you remember, Congressional Democrat supporters were already in full gear by like the 3rd or 4th month already trying to demonize the war. This made things difficult as Democrats were a rather strong force in Congress at the time.

Well, all throughout the Bush years, we had ups and downs with our economy that were exacerbated by the solid opposition that Democrats kept hassling Bush with, especially where it regarded the war and war provisions. Bush didn't do a lot of tap-dancing with Democrats, which tells you something, Bush made sure that the bills he proposed were something Democrats wouldn't give him too much trouble on. I

Now if you continue to remember, as time went on, Democrat opposition to Bush's policies became more and more strong, media demonized the war more and more, and then it came to precipice in 2006 when Democrats and their media's demonizing of Bush won them control of Congress.

Now remember, then Democrats proceeded to reject everything Republican, refused to maintain Bush's policies, which were seeing an upturn, by the way, and then substantial revisions had to be made several concessions. Then we started to see a downturn in the economy that Democrats in Congress insisted on borrowing to recover from, and Bush played ball with his own revisions that he thought would work.

Then an unprecedented economic crash comes just as it looks McCain might pull ahead of Obama and just in the knick of time to win Democrats unprecedented success in all elections. What's more odd is that those two companies who's collapse made all of this happen were 2 very Democrat supporting companies who all liberals assumed based on their own preconceived baseless assumptions were Republican allies when in fact they were very very very much Democrat allies.

If Democrats in 2006 had actually worked with Bush instead of rejecting him and his policies to maintain the Reagan-style policies that were indeed working before Democrats took over in 2006, our economy would not have seen the crash that it did.

And I'm not entirely convinced it was coincidental either because it literally tanked the economy in a matter of a couple months literally just before election day. The most detrimental economic collapse since the Great Depression happens just in time to win Democrats unchallengeable control, and it was caused by companies who favor Democrats by hundreds of thousands of dollars more than Republicans because of obviously ridiculous and dangerous lending practices. You tell me that doesn't sound mighty suspicious.

And lets remember one other thing, just as America was poised to demand off shore drilling due to gas prices, the worse oil disaster in world history happens just in time for Democrats to say "no" and still maintain their support. Even liberals recognize BP exec's seeming unwillingness to deal with the disaster properly and in a timely manner. Those two coincidences are might mighty convenient. It's almost like Democrats or Obama were possibly encouraged at the success that economic collapse brought and might have thought another unprecedented disaster might bring them more success in another arena that would in turn shovel much more money and support towards Obama. It could be very coincidental just like the rest of the world suddenly having oil leaks as well, roughly all at the same time, which is something else that's never happened before just as people were poised to still demand off shore drilling despite the BP disaster. Sort of proved that it wasn't an isolated incident having it happen in so many other places unexpectedly like that. Our science was supposed to be more sound today than a decade ago, yet we have an unprecedented amount of leaks all over the world. Maybe the structures 10 years ago were actually stronger and the science that improved them was just in error, or perhaps it wasn't a coincidence.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but come on, when do disasters ever spell success for leaders in power like just about all of them have for Democrats thus far? Things like this don't just happen on this kind of scale, and even if they did, they wouldn't happen just in time to give the current people in power more money and support from their constituents.

Can't you just hate George W Bush because it's embarrassing to be represented by a man who isn't very smart? His parents are embarrassed of him for God's sake. I don't like anything about Obama, but at least he isn't a moron.

You have to be corrupt to be in politics- that is the bipartisan system.

The argument between liberals and conservatives is ridiculous.

Anyone who EVER feels represented by this government scares me.

I've been extreamly turned off by all the political crap in this great nation since this all started with Obama . I really thought and still do feel that the man is fundalmentaly against this nation and will do anything in his power to destroy this once proud land . So I have been refusing to read this stuff on here , but I'm glad I read this today and I think no matter what your affiliation is that you are truly a learned individual and your opinion seems to me to be compleatly valid . truth is there was alot more to do with this election of Obama than what the people really wanted it's called the old boys network the ones who actualy place our leaders, the electorial coledge . we should all learn who they are and get rid of them first then we can start to rebuild . we do have the right in this country to over through our government as long as we astablish a new government imeadiatly ,but while we would work on this we would still be protected by our parralel government(The N.S.C.). Just something for all of us to think about .

It's ludicrous, it really is. Everything the left touches, it seems, gets ruined. And the crazy thing is that, in some skewed way, they really DO have the best of intentions.

They had the noble idea of helping the down-and-out and unemployed have a safety net so they could get on their feet. They screwed it up though, and we have Welfare.

They had the noble idea of providing a means for the elderly to supplement their livlihood, in the event that retirement just couldn't cover their expenses. They screwed it up though, and we have Social Security and Medicare.

And some of their programs are simply laughable. Take affirmative action for instance: Never have I come across such a racist piece of legislature in modern time. Seriously, think about it. "Oh, poor Latino man, are you trying to get a job? Well, obviously you NEED the help, because you are just a poor man of Spanish descent, so we're going to force someone to take you on, whether or not you are qualified; we'll just assume you wouldn't qualify on your own, since you're a different color."
"And you, poor little black girl, you want to go to college? Well, obviously, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE BLACK, you need SPECIAL help, so we'll single you out for acceptance, based on nothing but the color of your skin."

Of course, it's not racist if THEY do it; they're just helping out those people that are naturally handicapped by their non-whiteness. And they call anybody who doesn't agree with them racist. Makes me laugh.

They're always so angry because they see their good intentions go up in smoke, and they don't get why. It's because in order for their programs to work, people have to fundamentally different, andthat's just not going to happen.

And some times, they just screw up horribly. I mean, you can trace the vast majority of Middle Eastern hatred for the US directly back to Jimmy Carter and how he handled the Mecca incident of '76 (or was it '77? It was the same time as the embassy attacks back then). Way to go, you guys made the Muslims hate us, because we couldn't keep our noses out of matters that didn't concern us.

Ha! Terrific, but Mr. Fleming forgot one reason why Americans voted for ODE (Obama Dead Eyes): They decided it was time to elect someone who wasn't totally caucasian, so he could get his equal chance to screw up as well as his brethren Democrats. Now, THAT's equanimity. Who says Americans are fair?
