“There is no deterrent to suicidal martyrdom, involuntary mass martrydom. No deterrent that depends on belief in the value of life by genocidal murderers on a “martyrdom mission”. Is there a solution to this problem aside from pre-emptive strikes which will likely be catastrophic for both sides and probably only postpone a second Holocaust? Are there any deterrrents that will stop Ahmadinejad and his ilk from carrying out their genocidal designs?” (More @ PajamasXpress)

The deterent to all of jihad is simple. The American people and not just our military must stand united against the Islamic Fundamentalist movement. If Americans were as a majority not only for the war in Iraq, but also for a larger pre-emptive war with their movement throughout the world then we would be feared. Right now were not feared were ridiculed as weak. When combating terrorism only fear works as a weapon. The American people will one day rise to the occassion, but by then the chorus of horror will be too loud and our message of freedom will be obscured.

What does that even mean? No Americans believe terrorism is a good thing. And all Americans stand united against it. The problem is that war is used to overthrow governments, not ideals. Islamic fundamentalists don’t care about what they are up against. They’re already outnumbered.

There’s a huge lack of education on both sides of this problem. If we actually understood each other, the respective leader’s propaganda wouldn’t stand. That goes for us and for them.

As Nancy Pelosi would say: Israel’s fate is ‘a problem to be solved, not a battle to be won’.
    And as Pastor Niemoller said:
“First they came for the Jews,……”

Pajamas Media is great, but these ads that have popped up everywhere are really distracting. That’s one reason why there’s no comments on the site — something is royally screwed up in the interface here.

Easy. Why do people fight ? Because they think they can win (easily). The population of islamic countries, even if they agree to fight the west, they will not agree to fight the west at any cost. In fact 99,9% of muslims would not fight the west if there is even the slightest cost involved.

The easy way out would be to cause another war, say between Iran and Saudi. Or between Iran and Pakistan. Either they fight, and weaken themselves, or they agree to not agree and become a more tolerant society. If Saudi Arabia were to get involved in a war, that war would include mecca, including the possible conquest of mecca by another party.

I think the single greatest victory that America could score in this was would be that Iran takes over mecca.

    Alex:
Wars do indeed destroy ideas, i.e. Colonialism, Nazism and Slavery.

Islam is very easy to understand and they understand Western thought as well. The problem is Islam rejects Western ideals and wishes to destroy them on logical, from their perspective, religious grounds (there’s an oxymoron for you!)

‘No deterrent that depends on belief in the value of life by genocidal murderers on a “martyrdom mission”.’
So, does the belief “in the value of life” come into play when someone is on a “bombing mission?” Does the allegiance to a country absolve one of all inhumanities?

And to all those who call for more wars against more people, shouldn’t you be out fighting the ones we are already losing?

ONLY ANGER AND HATE CAN SAVE AMERICA http://www.globalconservative.com

The title alone is enough to send Liberals ablaze. This is why we are doomed to fail in Iraq. Liberals can’t take the title, let alone the reality it represents. In this world we do not have the luxury of making up our own reality, our own little land of make believe. We live in the real world that operates from certain truths we cannot escape.

When I was growing up I learned many things about life on the playground. I learned that some people are animals, nothing more than vicious animals that cannot be reasoned with. Toward the end of each school day, I began to chart the safest route to get home. Like the real world, my playground had many bullies. I spent most of my elementary years running away and living in fear.

Then I began to get angry. Then I learned how to hate, and one day I had enough. I was not going to run away any more. When that bully came at me, I stood my ground for the first time. I beat his face to a pulp in front of a large crowd. I beat his face without mercy. I held no quarter. My hands were swollen and his face looked like it had been put through a meat grinder.

I spent the rest of my school days in peace. No one wanted to mess with me and chose weaker people to pick on.

In the world of reality animals smell weakness a mile away. These Muslim animals smelled weakness when Clinton pulled out of Somalia. They smelled weakness when nothing was done after the first Trade Center bombing. They smell weakness when they read our newspapers. They smell weakness when we elected Liberals to the majority position. They smell weakness when we ask Sandra Day O’Conner what she thinks we should do in Iraq. They smell weakness when we charge our boys with murder for doing what needs to be done.

In war you have to hate the enemy. You have to view them as nothing more than a piece of human waste. You have to strike without mercy, without remorse, and without fear. Anything less than that will bring the wolves to the table. This idea of a softer, gentler, kinder war will not bring victory. What this will bring are the American people one day getting up out of bed to go to work, only to discover that New York City is no more.
