What Happened to Candidate Obama?
President Obama is facing the toughest test of his presidency. George Stephanopoulos says he needs to go on “a solid two week vacation.” His poll numbers are sliding. And the pundits, both on the left and right, are taking shots. His signature legislative agenda item is on the rocks. How far we have come from candidate Obama, who seemingly could do no wrong.
Obama’s candidacy was defined (to the exasperation of conservatives) by idealism, appeals to bipartisanship, and competency. He is now short on all three — which explains why his support among voters and especially independents (who were susceptible to pledges to end old-style politics) has plummeted.
As for the idealism, no president has sunk so far so fast. Candidate Obama chastised Washington as a place where good ideas died. He summoned young voters with high-minded slogans and Kennedy-esque rhetoric. Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush were mere politicians; he was the leader of a whole new era in politics.
Now? Opponents of health care are stooges, evil-mongers, and villains. Citizen activists are to be reported to the authorities for spreading misinformation or ridiculed. The candidate with the superior temperament has devolved into a peevish president exasperated that mere citizens would question his wisdom or stand in his way.
On the foreign policy front, idealism is replaced by brutal realism, but a realism which assumes that despots can be trusted and persuaded by diplomatic talk alone. As Elliot Abrams explained in detailing the visit of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak:
Unless he read the Washington Post‘s powerful editorials about Egypt and Obama’s human rights policy, Mubarak must have been a happy man. When he sat next to the president for their press conference in the Oval Office, Mubarak must have noted that Obama didn’t pronounce the word “freedom,” or “democracy,” or even “reform.” In fact it was Mubarak who did, saying that “I have entered into the election based on a platform that included reforms. …” This is laughable, of course, for Mubarak has never held a free election and immediately after the last one jailed his sole opponent, Ayman Nour.
But this is not the exception — it is the new rule of American foreign policy. Iranian students, dissidents in Cuba, and human rights victims in Venezuela and China do not command his attention. There are bargains to be struck, he imagines, with all manner of despots so now is no time to rock the boat. Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, and the Iranian mullahs are all worthy of indulgence.
Bipartisanship has also crashed and burned. During the campaign we heard there was no blue or red America and that the baggage of past political feuds would be left aside. He vowed to put Republicans in his cabinet and to end the blood battles of the Bush years.
Now we get from the president:
I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, “Look, let’s not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, ’94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority.” And I think there are some folks who are taking a page out that playbook.
Obama and the Democrats threaten to “go it alone” on health care — ignoring the burgeoning opposition within Democratic ranks. They plan on using the highly controversial reconciliation process to run roughshod over opponents in the Senate. The president, who never solicited GOP input, declares them to be implacable foes and their ideas out of the realm of consideration.
And then there is the promise of competency. Obama was not going to repeat the lax management and administrative failings of his predecessors. He had no experience, but “judgment” we were promised and he was going to govern with an eye toward pragmatism not pie-in-the-sky adventurism. He was “No Drama” Obama, cool and collected.
Now the adjective most associated with his administration is “chaos.” Liberals are amazed he has frittered away the opportunity of a generation to pass the Democratic dream of nationalized health care. Conservatives marvel that he could have delegated the drafting process to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
In sum, anyone hoping Obama would usher in a new era of idealism, bipartisanship and effective governance must be sorely disappointed. It is now about brute power and bare knuckle politics. The issue of the day now is: Can the president muscle through his increasingly unpopular health care plan by skirting congressional tradition and ignoring any angry electorate?
As the reality of President Obama replaces the promise of candidate Obama, the public has recoiled. Unless the Obama they voted for reappears he is unlikely to regain his standing with voters. And those congressmen and senators who have tied their futures to Obama’s popularity will need to give voters a reason not to take their anger out on them. Or they too will find themselves, as Obama now is, in the voters’ dog house.

The man that was Candidate Obambi was always a MYTH and only ever existed because an ass licking MSM never ever looked at what he really was and still dont and a gullible, hysterical , emotional dumbed down American public allowed the LIAR and the MSM to lead them up the garden path . Now the mask is slipping and the incompetent, inexperienced narcissistic man with dodgy friends and a carefully HIDDEN past is being revealed. The MSM of course have never experiences any interest in exposing what the LIAR Messiah is hiding nor in reporting his LIES and colossal historical and other gaffes. It has been left to the Blogoshere to expose this CHARLATAN and much is still HIDDEN at great cost by the Mohammedan BOGUS POTUS.
The choice was Obama or McCain. Hobson would have been proud.
Barry is a nice, mediocre man. As president he’s under-qualified. He’s our affirmative action president, brought to us by the lying, flaw-hiding MSM — lefty racists who shriek about any statement holding any brown person to any standard.
Jennifer,
As dysmal as your piece is, it errs on the optimistic. On the foreign policy side, while the coddling to dictators is virtually guaranteed not to advance our national interests as you note – his “new, smart diplomacy” is also doing a bang up job of alienating allies.
- Humiliating state vist by PM Brown at the outset, followed by nigardly gifts to both the PM and the Queen + many subsequent signals that the “special relationship” means nothing.
- performing a hitherto impossible task of alienating the Israeli public.
- Severely shaking confidence in the USA within the hyper pro American former Eastern Block.
- No FTA agreement with Columbia/Korea and no Presidential warm reaching out.
- China, India and others calling for a new global currency.
The list goes on and on.
The new way forward on the domestic front is so far out that investors only repond positively to the likelihood that the worst of his initiatives might fail.
Energy policies modeled on Spain – where even in Spain they are recognized as having failed.
Were it not for Afghanistan and Iraq, he would be under perfect statistical control – crashing and burning on every major initiative.
We truly live in interesting times.
No, Patrick of Atlantis, McCain was by far the superior choice.
McCain, a military man from a distinguished American military family, was not glib, but neither was Eisenhower. McCain did not present himself falsely in the election; Obama did. McCain was and is a man of experience and commitment to America, having served the nation as a Naval combat aviator in the Vietnam War and as a POW who endured real torture at the hands of sadistic North Vietnamese guards; Obama was and is someone of inexperience who was a community organizer who never wore the uniform and who spent time in the company of “God dman America” Rev. Wright and commie America hating Bill Ayres. Did we not see what that difference meant at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Forum? It was there for all to see.
McCain was and is a pro-life fiscal conservative who was heads above everyone else in both parties who ran for President last time in terms of knowledge and experience concerning forreign policy, military matters and national security. No trillion dollar deficit spending for him; he advocated during the election and would have imposed a federal spending freeze. No world apology tours for him; he advocated during the election and would have pursued a strong foreign policy.
Consider McCain’s voting record this year. It is conservative and as good as any. McCain has voted AGAINST every Obama bailout bill. McCain has voted AGAINST every Obama deficit spending bill, denouncing the multi-trillion dollar deficit spending as “generational theft,” a phrase thereafter used by Sean Hannity. McCain has voted AGAINST the confirmations of tax cheat Geithner, radical pro-abortion advocate Sebellius, leftist Kagan and transnational legal theorist Koh to their respective positions in the Obama Administration. McCain voted AGAINST the confirmation of Sotomayer to the U.S. Supreme Court. McCain has announced he is opposed to Obama’s cap and trade bill and opposed to ObamaCare.
Too many conservatives drank the idiocy kool-aid that denied a difference between McCain and Obama. McCain is restrained in manner and comes from an older generation of Americans who dislike partisanship (which is the fault of Democrats). But for those of us who pay attention to substance and character, your comment, Patrick of Atlantis, is just nonsense.
You cannot criticize the kid, That would be racism. And then Jesse and Al would flood the streets with their minions. The kid is trying his best, doing his darndest, and it is not fair some people cannot see his brilliance. His is a greater vision. His is a more profound understanding. The circuits in the great intellectual cathedral of his mind go on crackling and popping at an astounding rate, fare beyond the capacity of us ordinary folk to even imagine, much less comprehend. Now, it is true, that some mistakes have been made. Some silly things have been said. A few misstatements suggesting the Wiz is in reality quite ignorant. That his fund of knowlege is feeble. That his grasp of the world and reality is juvenile. That is ability to work with others who my hold differing opinions, to lead, form consensus, reason, and most importantly, place the welfare of this country above the country of welfare recipients in his efforts to redistribute wealth…..well nobody is perfect, eh? And he sure can deliver a well written and telepromted speech.
Hey, Chris Matthews…it’s morons like you that I hold responsible. That tingle sown your leg?? Stop playing with yourself on the air.
It feels good having Obama and his teleprompter gone from Washington-
Be nice if there was a law the president had to take 4 weeks,
1 month vacation.
Those that didn’t vote for McCain because he was too ‘Conservative’ and some said too ‘Liberal.’
How you enjoying the teleprompter wrapped in its case and this wonderful pause from HOPENCHANGE?
You feel better now than you did 1 week ago?
Its like watching 8 months of a circus clown act-
I have become tired of laughing.
We need to rid ourselves of 12-20 Democrats in 2010- starting with Harry Greed [D]AZ
Show some liberal congressional cabbage heads what unemployment and rejection can do for their health.
What happened to Candidate Obama? He started believing his own press. If anything, he probably thinks the MSM is too tough on him.
He was always a young man in a hurry, he can’t figure out why his face is not already carved on Mt. Rushmore. While he may have benefited from affirmative action, he seems to be more a product of people telling him his whole life that he is special. Smarter than. Destined for greatness. Raised in the era where everyone gets a prize just for showing up. So he hooked up with Axelrod and Plouffe who created a PR campaign to match his inner confidence. He’s a crashing boor who last week was talking about wee-wee?
There were other choices in 2008 but none so spectacularly self-centered as this guy. He lost debate after debate but no problem, “cool” is what matters. He had sketchy friends, no problem, let’s pick on the girls in the race, they are the ones who really don’t belong. He took money and did not verify addresses and names, is anyone ever going to look into that? Or is that another thing we’d pursue for anyone else? The guy has gotten all the breaks so now it’s time for him to do the job. Or stay on vacation. I’m torn about which would be better for our country.
Are you certain that Chris Matthews said “tingle” and not “tinkle” I think the latter would now be more appropriate.
Superior temperament?? Please…
Obama is an angry and bitter man. Look at him — still blaming everything on Bush and “the last 8 years” and mocking Foxnews and anyone who disagrees with him or opposes his policies — give me a break.
He has no executive experience, no military experience, no business experience, no international experience — and, boy, does it show. He’s an amateur and a lightweight and a phoney.
I mean, honestly, what head of state goes around giving as gifts to a Prime Minister a set of DVDs and to the Queen of England a used IPod equipped with a track of him talking? Totally devoid of class.
Then, you’ve got all those double standards. He taxes the purchase of cigarettes, yet he himself admits he can’t stop smoking. He includes Biblical verses in his speeches yet to this day, he still has not found a church in Washington DC or Northern Virginia to which he can regularly attend. He talks about providing more funding for education and helping the disadvantaged, yet he was quick to make fun of Special Needs kids on a late-night talk show. He tells his agencies, including the DoD, to look for ways to cut spending, but he approves DoD to take pictures of Air Force One hovering over NYC at a cost of over $360K and he flies to town hall meetings packed with his supporters, at different cities throughout the country, as if he’s still campaigning.
He wants accountability and transparency from everyone and everything connected to Government, yet he will not release his medical records, his university/college/high school/elementary/even kindergarten records, and, of course, his infamous birth certificate, making him the most unknown and mysterious US president ever.
Even with all that and the imminent defeat of Obamacare, this guy is still arrogant and a messiah-wannabe. Is there any way at all to humble this man?
I just see a smart, ethical guy trying to systematically clean up a humongous mess left by a corrupt, incompetent President, as well as fix a failing health system and some seriously deteriorated loose ends in Afghanistan. And all the while having to deal with the usual GOP smear, obstruct and get nothing done tactics, the clueless “he said/she said” poll-obsessed “coverage” by the corporate media, and the same old, same old malicious, insulting and fantasized dumbf*ckery by the conservative media, especially the right wing blog sites.
“This is laughable, of course, for Mubarak has never held a free election and immediately after the last one jailed his sole opponent, Ayman Nour.” &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& This makes me think of the dems desperately wanting to try Bush and Cheney while pretending not to want it.
Pathetic!
He certainly finds himself “all wee weed up!”
#10 888 “Is there any way at all to humble this man?” &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& How bout impeachment?
Better wake up BC, the man is dangerous !!!!
I’ve always been confused by what MSM stood for- Mostly Stupid Malarkey?-More Silly Mush?-Mainly Skanky Minions? Someone please enlighten me.
BC: you and the other trolls are still squealing the same old stuff: everything is Bushes fault! Your boy needs to man up and take responsibility for his actions. # years from now who will you be blaming? Talk about corruption? Anything coming from Chicago politics reeks of corruption!
I think he’s scared to death of those foreign despots, and increasingly, secretly in awe of the job Bush and Cheney did.
J. Rubin
there is a very large group that never believed a word of the csampaign retoric of Obama.
THOSE SAME PEOPLE know the easter bunny is not real and there IS NO MAGIC.
THIS IS THE REAL OBAMA and it was plain to see in his words and deeds. WAKE the F@#$-up. He has done what he said he would and you are still surprised ?
So given that this is reality what do you think his next move will be ?? It will be more of what we have seen …continue to ram his marxist views on the people. Big government CHICAGO STYLE.
re competency
If Obama had the advertised brilliance that we were sold during the campaign, it is likely that we would soon have some solid ideas as to how we could really make American health care better–ie, more med schools, import more competent foreign doctors, etc.
But Obama is not brilliant–he’s an empty suit who has beeb elevated by the platform of divisive racial preferences.
And isn’t it just ducky that this mediocrity doesn’t even have any slaves in the family?
What happened to candidate Obama? Nothing. He hasn’t changed from what many of us saw during the campaign.
What I see is a typical Chicago pol, who learned everything he knows inside the Daley machine. Certainly, he can be ingratiating, suave and debonair when it suits him. But cross him, and you’re earmarked for a visit from the guys with the baseball bats who do not play for the Cubbies.
He “has a vision”. Well, so did Timothy Leary. I submit that one is no more likely to be excessively influenced by reality as the other, albeit for different reasons.
He is also an egotistical narcissist (that’s a mental condition, not a job qualification, BTW) who has spent his entire life in a hothouse environment of academia and (frankly dirty) politics. An environment where he could have anything he wanted just by “working the system” and “playing the game”. And where being called a “hustler” was considered a compliment. (In the real world, it’s only a compliment if you’re a base runner- or a supersonic bomber built by Convair and formerly used by SAC.)
The confluence of these three factors has resulted in a Chief Executive whose faith in his own infallibility is exceeded only by his disdain for those “beneath” him here- and his utter and complete cluelessness about the foreign dictators he has somehow convinced himself are “the good guys”. (Probably because they share his contempt for our civilization as a whole.)
Yes, President Obama is in trouble. In the same sense as a batter at the plate who draws back, swings at the pitch- and hits himself in the head due to losing control of the bat. And, being who he is, he also believes that he is “above” using a batting helmet.
In short, his concussion is entirely self-inflicted. And all the journalistic sycophants who made the classic error of “writing the lead in the cab to the stadium” can’t change that.

BC: Whe question is, can America survive the ministrations of Barak Husen Obama? Of all the adjectives available in the English lexicon, ‘smart and ethical’ would rank dead last when describing the Wiz. I suggest you review his Chicago track record before championing his ethics. As for his intellectual gifts, ignore the canned speeches and lsiten to his extemporaneous utterances. He has proven himself so badly out of his depth, so lacking in breadth of knowlege, experience, judgement, and leadership skill, so utterly dependent upon scripting, and so hideously foreign to mainstream America, that his election can only be considered a tragedy. You folk of the rabid left have an unfortunate habit of accusing your opponents of the very tactics that you employ ruthlessly. In the long term, that psychological defense (projection) fails because nobody else believes it. Obama lies, America dies.
To any sane person who took the time to look, Obama’s flaws were entirely obvious at the start. Yes he is black. Duh! However when it comes to Presidential material the guy was never close. Yes he has a great BS factor and is good at telling white folks what they want to hear. Just vote for me and no one can ever call you a racist again. Pretty smart.
The facts are that he has the thinest resume of any president in history which is startling in that it lacks no material accomplishment. What we do know about him we should not like. By that I mean Rev Wright, Bill Ayers, his arab anti jewish friends, his leftists intellectual pals, his Chicago mobsters and their style of extortion politics. Put it together and you have a toxic mix of contradictions which mostly are unappealing to USA citizens for the same reason that most polls show that Americans (US citizens) have conservative values and are NOT liberals let alone half baked leftists like Obama’s buds.
Now he has over reached. People are waking up and they don’t like what they see. They are going beyond the front page of the NYT and MSM boobs and starting to verify for themselves that what they were told pre election by their “right wing radical nut job neighbors” was actually true.
This may be the beginning of a new phase in Obama’s Presidency. However I expect him to campaign back with a total makeover. Right now that his polls are in the dumps you can expect the CIA story to emerge again to distract us. Note that whenever the liberals start to flame out whether it is Pelosi, Obama or some other democrat, well that ole bogeyman Bush and the CIA comes back like clockwork.
This is no time for complaceny because despite negative Polls the Obama team is building a deep and ugly politial machine to keep and sustain power. It is now moving into corporate boardrooms like GE and, the nationalized car comanies, the health insurers and the bailed out banks. Also the grass rooted brown shirts like ACORN,and Americorps and the Unions are strapping on their new jack boots (paid for by US taxpayer funding) and printing out their designer signs on demand. They still have trouble reading their talking poins though.
This will be a tough four years for America.
Tommy Gunn
It is obvious that conservatives, republicans and racists are very bitter about losing an election, lost their 401Ks, can’t get insured, people are not spending like they maniacally did, the world has changed, they are confused and afraid.
It’s very frustrating.
The new therapy: shouting incoherently at town halls.
The greeks have a great name for what Obama is suffering from; Hubris (overweening pride).
Obama honestly expected that everything he said would be believed, no matter how many times what he says changes. He expected that everything he did would be hailed as genius. After all he IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. More then a man, the postracial, great uniter; the anti-Bush.
When egotists like Obama realize that not everyone thinks they are Kalkin, they have no fall back but to become angry and abusive and hateful.
Ya think so, vivo. Well, shouting at twon hall meetings certainly is a step up from buring down Watts.
Obama is nothing but a reality hick surrounded by like minded individuals professing to have all the answers. Your everyday garden variety street corner hustler that hit the big time by persuading the weak willed he had all the right answers.
All the leftovers can do is scream stupid and racist in an attempt to intimidate in the absence of a factual common sense answer. These followers spew the party line regardless of reality, commonsense or thought and have the gall to call themselves intellectual class.
University, the opposite of diversity.
Obama is proving that it is one thing to campaign successfully, quite another to govern effectively. While pursuing the presidency, he was able to portray himself (with the help of an uncritical, fawning media) as he liked: as someone who was above race, above partisanship, above “politics as usual.”
But, once elected, the rubber met the road. Although President Obama claimed in an early interview that governing “comes naturally to me,” Americans are learning (painfully so) that such is not the case. Experience — it turns out — IS a useful thing. So are attributes such as sound judgment, even temperament, genuine humility, etc.
And Obama possesses precious little of those. Absent the hero-worship treatment he enjoyed while campaigning, he is showing himself to be thin-skinned, highly partisan, and not at all above using (through sundry surrogates) frivolous charges of racism to attack those who dare criticize his policies.
Barack Obama, it turns out, is not at all “transformative.” He is, in fact, an all-too-common politician. And he is arrogant, inexperienced, and power-obsessed, to boot.
… and…
1) … as home politics, the great racial unifier proves himself to be the greatest divider ever, cynically pitting groups one against another. “ColorOfChange”‘s latest move trying to oust Glenn Beck from Fox (move ostensibly without Obama’s knowledge or approval), is nothing but inspired by him and his crew, and is an amplification of Jackson’s and Sharpton’s shake-up politics of racial blackmail.
2)… as foreign affairs, we started reaping the results of Obama’s incompetence and of his deep seated anti-americanism. The return of Churchill’s bust to Britain has stirred there much resent, and the way he later treated Brown at the White House wasn’t appreciated either – the defiance showed by the Scottish Court (Brown is a Scot) to America in the Lockerbee affair has been clearly nurtured by this animosity towards Obama personally.
Heh – but since this political cycle in American political life was inaugurated by “God damn’ America!” and “This is a downright mean country!” why should we wonder about the ensuing chain of political debacles caused by Barry we assist at?
DON’T FEED the TROLL(s)
here is a short video clip …it highlights how marxism has been using education to spread their ideology in north america
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTmbcyeZ9ic&feature=related
it is all in this short clip ..why trolls, or most democrats keep using the same arguments regardless of what they are shown.
No. McCain was not a better candidate. (To be fair though he was better when compared to the liberal candidate put forward by the Democrat party.) IMO, There are two main political parties in the US. One, the Democrats, wants to drive us over the cliff at 100 mph and the Republicans want to drive us over the cliff at 70 mph. They are both taking us on the path to poverty and a Federal Government with limitless power. Until/Unless Conservatives gain control of the Republican Party we are merely slowing the advance. The Democrats cannot get elected by openly discussing their real vision for America. This is Obama’s real problem.
I still believe that Republicans could get elected on the basis of cutting the size, scope and power of the Federal Government and increasing individual freedom but we will never know because problems like Medicare and Social Security have metastasized and moved the entire American political system to left a center. Single Payer/Public Option would move the middle even more to the left.
We could however, privatize the post office, Close the Dept of Education and end federal involvement in State Welfare plans…just to name a few. The Republican problem is that no one is dumb enough to believe we would actually cut the size of Government. In 1994 we had majorities of both houses and the White House and were given the opportunity and arguably the mandate to cut Government. We failed. We didn’t even try. We increased the size and scope of Government exponentially. Then GWB comes along and vetoes something like 2 bills in eight years.
As it stands today, if there were room in the Democratic Party for pro-life politicians there would be no need for the Republican Party to exist. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v Wade there will no longer be a need for the GOP unless they are Conservative in ways other than only Moral issues.
Do not confuse Obama’s supposed idealism with the genuine idealism of his followers. Idealism in the young is normal. The same quality in a mature person is usually a sign of dangerous naivete: no fool like an old fool. But our president is no idealist and probably never has been. All his lofty rhetoric during the campaign was a cynical ploy to use the idealism of his followers to gain power. His most ardent supporters will stick by him to the bitter end. A few will recognize they’ve been had and not make the same mistake again. The only odd thing about the situation is how quickly the whole scam is beginning to unravel. Hubris, indeed.
RE #25/vivo: [...] conservatives, republicans and racists are very bitter about losing an election, lost their 401Ks, can’t get insured, people are not spending like they maniacally did, the world has changed, they are confused and afraid. [...]
Vivo dah’lin’, under what rock you’ve been sleeping these days?
“Bitter losing an election?” – that’s so over! Only minuscule minds like you kossite trolls can find in that fact the causes of Hussein Soetoro’s downfall.
What we’re are talking here is about the train wreck that Soetoro’s presidency has rapidly became (and this in less than 200 days!) and that the guy not only won’t have a shot at a second presidency, but he might be well marched out from the office before the end of this term, dragged in a courthouse to answer to charges of charlataniea for his raising more than $7 million dollars under false pretense!
Vivo – Racist is a term used so often and so falsely by the left that it has lost its impact. Either site examples to back yourself up or you appear empty headed to your audience.
BC – A bitterly fought war where we have men and women losing their lives and/or limbs is a detriorated loose end? To say that our perspectives differ would be the understatement of the……….pick your time frame.
If I were a liberal I would think obama is a conservative plant. After all, they believe only conservatives are as stupid and incompetent as B.O. has turned out to be.
I for one am glad The One is President. He is doing so much damage to the left and the democrat party we have a golden opportunity coming up. If we fund truly conservative candidates across the country. We may set up a reversal of the current situation for a Palin or Jindal in 2012. Even reid is on the ropes.
Remember, after this year, all it will take to undo obama/left legistlation and put law into effect that is actually good for America. All it will take is 51 votes in the Senate.
Just think, social security reform.. with a Private Option.. competition don’t YA’ k’no.
To that end, join me in Project 100. Lets identify the most conservative candidates across the country. Compile a list and each pick out 100 to send a $10.00 contribution. Cut out the RNC and fund our people ourselves. If two million of our 60+ million did this it would be huge. 20 million to any given candidate. Even Harry Reid is expected to raise only 25 million.
Candidate Obama unmasked: Meet President WeeWee whose only real skill is making PooPoo.
vivo: Nobody is buying the “racists” smear. You just embarrass yourself.
Vivo we are STILL waiting for you to tell us where all the Obamantions HIDDEN documents are I mean you would not have voted like a moron for some guy about whom you know NOTHING would you. Oh sorry YES YOU DID.
Obama has been told over and over again that he is a brilliant orator and communicator to the point that he really believes all he has to do is say anything and the people will fall in line. That’s why the truth does not matter to this administration. In this case “Health Care” is just the sugar coating to make the socialism pill go down. Obama and his team are all about using poll tested language and phrases to blind the inattentive to their true aim. Just like every time a democrat wants to spend money its “about the children”, health care is just the excuse to take the next step in government control of every aspect of our lives. Once the government controls health care it can mandate behavior by restricting access to the compliant. It can regulate the agricultural economy based on the values of certain food. The sky is the limit. What I am afraid will happen is that at the last minute some compassionate republicans will go along to pass a lesser bill with co-ops or some other seeming less harmful provisions. To see where this leads just look at the relatively modest beginning of Medicare, and tremble.
The candidate was a phantom, a clean, articulate black Kenyan, packaged by a group of white leftists wishing to seize our government to destroy the middle class in America. The captive media, some bought, most, just stupid, hating Bush so much, fell in love with the anti-Bush and got him elected.
One day, we might learn who was in the group that planned/executed this, certainly Ayers, Soros, SEIU, and Chicago lawyer(s).
All one need do is list the Obama documents/records that are not available to know that there was/is a conspiracy to hide something significant about Obama.
I never have believed that Barry Soetero won the election legitimately.
What with ACORN and George Soros (30 lawyers sent up to Alaska to investigate Sarah Palin…just who popped for that?)conservatives must tread lightly so as not to bring on the booted, batoned, and bereted “polling place protecters” or more accurately, Barry’s civilian military corps.
Remember, “as well funded as the U.S. military.”
Ignore the trolls – BC, vivo, Moho, Blarty Farty (does anyone else think he sounds like the MIA Pastor of Muppets?), etc. – they have nothing of value to add to the argument.
They are intellectually bankrupt and irrelevant.
Can someone send BC an Obama coloring book? (BC, you needn’t stay within the lines. It’s ok.)
The perception of “seemingly could do no wrong” is easy to arrive at when the media laid down on the job and asked not one difficult question. Now that the public, via town-hall meetings, is doing the job the media should have done last summer and fall, the media gets a very different view of their leader.
This isn’t funny any more.
I have family and a former boss who are now spending their 401ks and have given up looking for work. We have a moron president attacking and disrupting the institutions that sustain us. The president and democrats have demonized everyone but vegetarians and lawyers. Anyone who speaks up is subject to 15 minutes of hate on msnbc or the liberal blogs.
We created vast amounts of wealth in the 80′s and 90′s. the current trouble was the fault of Freddie and Fanny mae. Lets get rid of them and move on. Instead we elected a sweet talking Marxist who wants to make America into a Union wonderland.
We need to push back hard. The whole left is funded by our tax dollars. We need the house back and dry up the funds for ACORN, SEIU and the UAW.
The phoniness of Obama lies in his speech. During his scripted campaign speeches and staged events with the teleprompter he sounds like an intellectual giant with perfect diction. Caught in live discussions when the questions are tough, he sounds like just another guy from the hood.
I think that the American people are getting tired of being wee-weed on by an empty suit.
#16 pibill, MSM = Marxist Surrender Monkeys
Vivo (#25): In lieu of “shouting at town halls” as you called it, what are the conservatives who are “very bitter about losing an election, lost their 401Ks, can’t get insured, people are not spending like they maniacally did, the world has changed, they are confused and afraid” supposed to do?
Apparently if we speak out we’re racists. If we get in a group we’re a mob. If we talk loudly we’re crazy neo-cons. Should we just stand idly by? Not happening as you can see.
The problem YOU have is that with a super-majority now, any legislation not passed is the fault of the Democrats. Try as they might, they cannot pin the crappy health care bill on the Republicans. It’s all the Dem’s now and the PUBLIC knows it. Check the polls #’s for further reference if needed.
Look to Obama now friend. He’s failing not only us but most especially YOU since you bought his snake oil.
Lets face it politicians are politicians – we can’t let them fool us too much as to which side of the isle they are on. Having said that McCain seemed more rooted in his beliefs. He’s also much less liberal. As a small business owner (manufacturer of dog shampoo and supplements I must admit that I’m dog scared about the excessive taxing and taking this admin is proposing – once the wings of change get in motion, we can quickly become a socialist focused country if we are not careful. Wow, big surprise. Any serious person knew before the election that B. Hussein was a joke, a affirmative action hype-artist who the mainstream media got elected. The problem is that the parasites now outnumber the producers, and will vote for whoever promises them the most.

As for B. Hussein, he probably doesn’t care that his presidency is coming apart and that his party could lose the majority in 2010. He got what he wanted. He’s a world celebrity, ala Michael Jackson or Michael Jordon. He lives in the White House with all its servants, catering to his every need. Short commute. He has his own personal 747 jet, with another as backup. Helos over to his personal resort at Camp David with its 70 full time servants on weekends. He vacations in Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard. His kids go to an elite private school. His wife carries $6,000 purses and wears $500 tennis shoes. She has a staff of 20. He can go anywhere in the world, and expense it. When he’s done in eight years, he’ll become superrich giving speeches and selling a book written by a ghostwriter. He can hand out favors to his crooked friends. You think he cares about the country or his legacy? He’s laughing at us — he knows he shouldn’t even be President – wasn’t born in the U.S!
25. vivo. “It is obvious that conservatives, republicans and racists are very bitter about losing an election, lost their 401Ks, can’t get insured, people are not spending like they maniacally did, the world has changed, they are confused and afraid.”
How do you square this statement with Obama’s loss of support among independents and some democrats? Are you equating those voters who supported Obama during the election but now do not support him with bring racist and bitter losers? Can a person change their mind about Obama without being labeled as you suggest?
Re: #4
Indeed, on the foreign policy side, the administration has been consumed by a policy of sacrificing our friends in the hopes of making peace with our enemies. Of course, this will leave us with fewer friends and bolder enemies.
Ms. Rubin: Who is Daniel Noriega? I believe you were referring to “Daniel Ortega,” the new President of Nicaragua (and Chavez lackey). Perhaps you confused him with Manuel Noriega, the Panamenian drug trafficker/dictator removed from power by Bush, Sr. in 1989.

What happened to candidate Obama? He got re-elected in 2012.

Shut up, troll.
DNFTT
Although Senator Obama may have been a brilliant campaigner, he is not a brilliant Commander-in-Chief since Obama is no leader; his inexperience, immaturity, arrogance, & Marxist idealogue nature are his own innate weaknesses that cannot be ignored. In other words, President Obama–coupled with his thin political resume–makes him a literally empty vessel with nothing more than rotting Statist-incarnate. Currently, President Obama & the other arrogant Socialist Democrats are literally campaigning against Americans with the health care debacle! What happened to President Obama? He took off his masque to reveal the bitter, angry, anti-American Marxist & the people do not like what they see…
President Barack Obama is an ignoramus and a liar. He did not know how many states there are in the union – he said 57. In Austria, he said that he did not know the Austrian language (which happens to be German). In his famous Cairo speech he lied about the contributions of Mohammedans: he said that Muslims has invented the magnetic compass (the Chinese did that), that they had invented printing (the Chinese and Gutenberg in Mainz did that), and founded the first universities (the Italians did that). Then he said that Muslims (Muslim principles?) were at the basis of the American Revolution, and that Muslims had fought in all wars waged by the United States – tell that to George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, Harry Truman, JFK, et al.
I thought Obama’s peevishness was in evidence throughout the campaign, for example, his sometimes reactions to the press…”that’s all fellas, Barack is done for the day playing footside with y’all” (I paraphrase)
My impression from the getgo was that the laid back-ness/illusion of “superior temperament” was an act and that Barack Obama is a peevish kind of guy.
He is also reaping the problems of his own “details are for peons” and “I hire people to write the stuff, I’m grand overseer” vision of himself.
I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, “Look, let’s not give him a victory…
Right, Barack, everything’s personal. It wouldn’t be that the plan (at least HR3200) is a pile of dog doo doo, with an agenda that seems less about health and more about furthering government’s power grab
And then there is the promise of competency. Obama was not going to repeat the lax management and administrative failings of his predecessors…
Oops, blew that one

Peter asks: When did this thread devolve into pure fantasy?
What everyone in this country has failed to realize is: This country is swamped with third-world immigrants who don’t know how to vote any better. There will be more Obamas to come, with or without the press.
I have many bruises on my body from all the pinching I do to myself, but he is still the president.
To all those who love to toss out the term “racist” just because we criticize the President:
If Ms. Clinton had won the Democratic nomination, had become President, and had pushed the same liberal policies Mr. Obama is pushing now, I would STILL be here criticizing the government (as I’m sure many of my like-minded conservative colleagues would). We criticize Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barbara Boxer, all whom happen to be perfectly good “white people.”
Bill Clinton proposed healthcare reform in the 90′s, and it was vigorously opposed by conservatives. That’s democracy. But when Obama proposes healthcare reform today, and is equally opposed by conservatives – that’s racism???
Of course, none of this is mentioned by the Left-wingers, as it would contradict their stereotypical, prejudiced assertion that we’re all just a bunch of racists.
But it is ironic, that though we question the Obama’s policies (or some dare to question the holes in his personal history), and THEY bring up his race -we’re the racist ones.
The Obama Administration.
God! I love the smell of failure in the morning!
For Obama supporters ‹^› ‹(•¿•)› ‹^›
The worst president ever (worse than Jimmy Carter) who raised the deficit more in three months than all the prior presidents combined. The country can not afford much more of his policies and most certainly not any new programs, instead of a lame duck make him a dead duck and in the next election vote out all democrats
I, for one, am more than content to sit and watch Obama wee-wee his pants. He is now fully exposed as a not-ready-for-prime-time tyrant attempting to ram his Chicago-style Marxism down the throats of ever-more-vigilant Americans. Check out the latest Rasmussen Poll….-14! Go for it, Obammi…
Too bad the Saul Alinsky book forgot the chapter about when his methods don’t work. Clearly Barry gets the part about killing every messenger would stop protests, but forgot the part about lies being easily exposed.
Guess BC forgot to read all of Alinsky’s book.
And this POTUS redefines low-life lying. He may be bright, but so weren’t Trotsky and Lenin, and look what happened to them. Smart gets you high scores on exams, but low scores in life and Barry is getting lower scores every time he opens his mouth.
I’m sure there will be a “malaise” speech coming up.
The skinny on Obama’s first 200 days.
ObamaCare, congress doesn’t want it for themselves so give it to the American people. James Crowley, imply strongly he’s an acting stupidly racist. Sonia Sotomayor claims over and over that white males are inferior. Obama adds her her racism to the supreme court. Americans are cowards. Eric Holder. Don’t prosecute the Black Panther voter intimidation crimes. Stimulus One, bankrupt idea. Buyouts, unnecessary. Spread the wealth, he’s in bed with socialism. $ 1000 Michelle haircuts. $35,000 week’s vacation . The biased media has turned into the slave media. Use the cosy Letterman relationship to attack Palin’s 14 year old daughter.
Cut cola’s for forseeable future. Call people at town meeting nazis, liars, conspirators and unpatriotic. Give ACORN millions in fed money to steal millions more votes. The putz al franken steals a seat in congress.
It’s been a corrupt 200 days for the President who thinks white people are cowards and Black Panthers have carte blanche to intimidate voters.
With five year freeze on colas, and bureaucrat veto power on expensive Senior citizes medical procedures like angioplasties, Obama has senior citizens in his sights. With super inflation right around the corner due to Obama massive deficit spending, (they know inflation is coming like a tsunami so they freeze cola’s during low inflation) if you’re on a fixed income, Obama has you in quite a fix.
The brown eyed handsome man has had an ugly first 200 days for his self proclaimed cowardly Americans. And it’s only going to get worse.
chileno/huevon, you are 100% correct that this is the al tiro automatic response. i don’t see this changing anytime soon.
Obama’s pandering to Muslims is really, really abhorrent.
It’s another personality trait,”hey, my Indonesian Muslim dad and the school I went to in Indonesia (where my religion, reportedly was listed as Muslim) make me all expansive and understanding!”
As for his own gaffe-a-laciousness, I don’t mind that so much as his (and his wife’s) preaching to us about our own shortcomings. Recall, for example, when he said, during the campaign (pandering to the Hispanic vote) that we all need to learn a foreign language.
He should maybe learn one himself, he can start with Austrian
For one thing, I don’t remember a president lashing out and marginalizing a wide swath of the public like this since Nixon. And even Nixon was smoother about it.
His gang still thinks they’re in Chicago.

RE # 63/ tanstaafl:
In addition to your observations, here is short excerpt from POLITICO detailing an Axelrod memo to Obama underlining his weaknesses, of which:
——*
POLITICO * x’s memo * An interesting bit from the early excerpt of Dan Balz and Haynes Johnson’s new book:
* In the days leading up to Obama’s decision to run, Axelrod prepared a private strategy memo — dated Nov. 28, 2006 — that has never been published before.
* Axelrod also warned that Obama’s confessions of youthful drug use, described in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father,” would be used against him. “This is more than an unpleasant inconvenience,” he wrote. “It goes to your willingness and ability to put up with something you have never experienced on a sustained basis: criticism. At the risk of triggering the very reaction that concerns me, I don’t know if you are Muhammad Ali or Floyd Patterson when it comes to taking a punch. You care far too much what is written and said about you. You don’t relish combat when it becomes personal and nasty. When the largely irrelevant Alan Keyes attacked you, you flinched,” he said of Obama’s 2004 Senate opponent.

Source of Obama’s peevishness: “It goes to your willingness and ability to put up with something you have never experienced on a sustained basis: criticism.”
President Obama–with nothing of substance to sustain his administration–is self-destructing since he is nothing but a follower in leader’s clothes trying to transform America into a Socialist Banana Republic; as a result, this power hungry neophyte will learn the hard way that “we the people” are his bosses & “we the people” are not to be trampled on just because he feels entitled to something he does not deserve.
I thought Obama would self-destruct by the Fall, but it started much earlier in the early Summer.
Barack Obama is a version of the Manchurian Candidate, in this case it’s the Soros Candidate.
Too bad the Saul Alinsky book forgot the chapter about when his methods don’t work.
Arianna Huffington on with Charlie Rose last week was all upset that the brilliant Barack is not following the brilliant scheme of Saul Alinsky and is going for the “compromise” too soon.
No sh!t, sherlock.
My sensation that we’re absolutely doomed to the snake pit of stupidity is growing.
(thanks for that, misanthrop, #80)
Obama needs to be made irrelevant. He is an empty shell of a President, the worst since Carter, and marginalizing him would yield better results than attacking him, however much fun that might b
Pelosi, Reed, Axelrod and Emanuel are setting the gagenda. He’s just going along for the ride. Attack the dem leadership in Congress and his advisors, that’s what will thwart the leftist “We’re the majority, so we’ll ram it down your throat” program.
Why is Obama golfing and vacationing while the country’s economy is tanking? Pound that meme, if you want to, make him seem detached and disinterested.
This clown was always an underqualified windbag, inflated with the hot air of affirmative action.Reality has busted this libtard balloon, and now Soros and the other stalinsist plutocrats, are wondering whether the deflated skinny ninny will give them their money’s worth !
He did more than anyone to raise expectations to levels noone could meet. If his popularity is falling, he can blame himself. He wants to be loved and to be free to be a ‘big picture’ guy. He seems to think he can just toss out a good speech now and then with broad guidelines in it and legislation will just spontaneously assemble itself. A lot of this is just inexperience, which we were all too willing to overlook last fall. The fact is, he has no executive experience and very little legislative. Why is anyone surprised? This was all inevitable. It will get worse.

BHO’s challenge right now is to put up or shut up.
He’s going to realize that this week. Next, at the latest.
BHO knew – just as we did a year ago – that he had neither the temperament nor the executive experience to captain a rudderless, corrupt ship of state, let alone lead a nation of over 300 Million Americans who, for the most part, don’t buy into his collectivist fantasy. And he didn’t care because he also knew he could depend on his shills in the media to bend public opinion to his will.
That worked so flawlessly during the Election that BHO has convinced himself he is invincible. As all inexperienced and inept pretenders to the throne tend to do, he’s surrounded himself with like-minded sycophants who will only continue to validate that narcissistic notion.
But thanks largely to the attention that the Tea Parties and Sarah Palin have focused on deeds and intent, rather than rhetoric and doubletalk, there’s a problem. The media has lost its stranglehold on a critical mass of the public’s awareness.
Howie Kurtz’ snark-infested tantrum at this turn of events is more revealing in this regard than BHO’s plummeting approval rating.
Mussolini reached a point in his corporatist takeover of Italy – now virtually indistinguishable from BHO’s usurpations – when he realized he had to either compromise his agenda or physically eliminate the source of any dissent from his policies. Watch for it.
We now have a situation at the local, state and federal level, wherein the leaders are far more hard left-liberal than the people they serve.
As is typical of all liberals, they don’t give the slightest damn about what the people need or want. They only want to force a Marxist/Socialist agenda onto them, as quickly as possible. And they are oblivious to the plainly obvious fact that that system always fails. Always.
Wow !
Lots and lots of truly excellent posts !
I just want to warn us all (including MYSELF !):
let’s not underestimate the terrible power of ideologies.
It’s true that the performance and character of this whole administration is childish and narcissistic…but they deem themselves the HYPER-HOLY HOLDERS OF THE SUPREME TRUTH OF HISTORY (and they even dare say it when they speak of “cooperating with…God” !!!).
Such attitude is not dangerous when found in a Zen master sitting in his monastery and spreading peaceful words of Wisdom…but it is lethal in the Commander in chief of the greatest power that ever existed in history if that chief is polluted by class-warfare ideologies.
The damages this administration has already caused are enormous and their plans against the free-market economy are even greater.
The temptation to crush dissent is evident in their words.
We need wisdom, determination, and an eye on the long-term.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
The town hall meetings & debates are not about health care; they are not about truth. They are not about stimluating the economy; they are not about helping Americans.
Obama’s agenda is very simple: socialist control of every aspect of the lives of as many Americans as possible: our health care, our jobs, our transportation, our homes, our children, everything. Liberals will not stop chipping away at our freedoms until all are gone and America is reduced to a third-world nation, with everyone living in misery & abject poverty. According to liberals, America is evil and the root of all the world’s ills, and must be stopped at all cost. Not complicated. If you disagree with the Obama agenda, you may receive a dead fish from Rahm-bo Emanuel, or perhaps a needle of death from his brother Zekey. The people are finally waking up, wising up and fed up with Obama’s socialist plan for America. Up with the people!
Bitter? Hardly. This is certainly a painfful experience for Americans; on the other hand it powerful learning experience as to what happens when you let other people take responsibility for one’s own life.
The last generation to take that responsibility seriously is the Greatest Generation – they knew from first hand experience what happens when others – Germans, Japanese, Russians, Italians, among others – gave up on any sense of both the rights and responsibilities of liberty, and handed over theirs in exchange for a little presumed safety.
Unfortunately the incredibly safe and prosperous world this Greatest Generation created sheltered their children – the Boomers – far too much from the reality of political cause and effect. That this would happen is probably natural – no one who has endured the horrors of war, depression, and genocide ever wants their children to experience it.
Unfortunately that meant Boomers grew up with a rabid sense of entitlement and an acute ignorance of how and why cultures evolve towards or away from success. This isn’t the first time such things have happened – France in the 1700′s, prior to the French Revolution – when its wealthy, non-productive nobility tried to sustain themsleves on Rousseau the same way Boomer elites found refuge in folks like Timothy Leary and Noam Chomsky – is a typical example. Similarly the German elite of the 20′s – especially academics – who first embraced the avant garde from which it was a short step to Hitlerism.
But America in many ways is a different culture from those; the Founders were very smart to incorporate into the structure they created an acceptance of the fact that for the people as a whole to flourish, a society must incorporate a means to accomodate the natural tensions that arise between differing points of view. Hence they created a state that pits one branch of governement against another (the Congress, the Presidency, the Supreme Court); and allows different levels of government (eg the states and the feds) to go head to head on issues. And at the core they recognized that the people themselves are the creators. owners. and final arbiters of government; hence the very direct position that people institute government among themselves, and that rights – speech, religion, free assembly, the ownership of guns, the right to remove unresponsive governemnts – are not just arbitrary privileges accorded to people by their governments, but rights that exist within each and every citizen.
Over the last 40 years or so, as Boomers handed their rights over to the powerful in exchange for comfort, and taught their children to do the same, the recognition of natural rights and responsibilities of citizens was abandoned, except for the last real push by the Greatest Generation, the Reagan Revolution. But it wasn’t enough to stick.
Pehaps it’s just very much a lesson that each generation must learn on its own. And this brings me to the reason why I am not bitter at all – I’m seeing many younger folks, including my own children, insisting that their rights – to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – is intrinsic to them, to exercise how they see fit, and not at the direction of potential oligarchs.
If it was not so destructive to the nation I would delight in the notion as Obama numbers drop so do MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN ratings drop. I happen to belive that there are smarter Americans than most of our politians. The MSM did not do their job and investigate and report facts about Obama. It was a love fest that was appalling. This President is a lier, way over his head, and plays around in Washington as the rest of us fear what will happen next.
In defense of the “troll”.
Refusal to look into the Leftist mindset is a fatal mistake: one must get well acquainted with your adversaries philosophy, goals and modus operandi in order to to defeat them.
By studying radical leftist blogs and forums you can size up their intellectual wight, the validity of their argument and you can form a more rational, sound counter-argument on your own.
Make no attempt to challenge them in argument for it’s as much futile than reeducate the WWII Jap. kamikaze pilots; – they are dedicated soldiers of the Communist Manifesto.
As the saying goes….”- keep them closer”…
The healthcare program is badly needed
@92. Chuck:
You are correct in your assessment. Let me borrow from a European blog where I found similar reckoning along this line:
The goal is not to restart the economy, deliver better health care, or save the environment but to reward and strengthen political allies and permanently shift the balance of power in the U.S.A. in favor of unions, government agencies, public employees, and beneficiaries of the racial spoils system.
To Rick: yeah, right, let’s not blame at all the guy who rightfully (surprisingly) invaded Afghanistan over their support and protection of bin Laden, but then pulled back in order to start an utterly bogus war with Iraq, all the while as the banking system and the economy at large were rolling merrily along towards a cliff, unwatched and pushed along by multi-billion dollar crooks and bankers & brokers addicted to Vegas-style derivative gambling.
If I had to point to one thing that showcases how craven and maliciousness the right wing is, and how easily they are finding suckers, it’s Malkin’s “Culture of Corruption” pile of BS shaped like a book. That was published just six months after Obama took office, which meant she started writing it…when now? And it’s filled with the same old twisted dumbf*ckey you would expect from someone who once suggested that John Kerry deliberately shot himself in Vietnam to get a medal.
In a sane society, vile people like her would be left babbling loudly at street corners and in parks, but these days, not only does she get to promote her book-shaped object on talk shows like it’s something real, and without much commentary by hosts too lazy to peer inside it’s dark recesses, but it actually gets to be a bestseller on Amazon and the NYT list, with reader comments by people apparently unaware of the purpose or even concept of “search engine.”
And before anyone responds with something dopey like “Where is she wrong?” — the real question is “Where is she right?” Apparently, according the Malkin, a job promotion that brings greater pay is a sure sign of corruption, and that hiring someone who was once put on probation for shoplifting during his college years outweighs the blood of the million or so Iraqi civilians killed to date (don’t argue with this number — it’s from the most reliable research to date.)
But Malkin is no more than a symptom of the times we live in and the sort of obstructive, if not destructive people Obama has to deal with, above and beyond fixing up an awful lot of things that have gone or were going seriously wrong.
Obama and the White House is on another power grab, putting the new terror unit under the White House and essentially taking it away from the CIA.
The White House is getting too, too much power, given all the czars and such.
Someone had better start screaming about these power grabs.
What happened to “Candidate Obama”?
He never existed. He was a PR campaign on steroids. He’s a marvelous actor, but he’s not a leader. He’s not expected to be. Other people will drive the agenda, thank you, so Barry … go to Marxist Vineyards and play some golf. You need the practice.
I used to be in the professional theatre, and when you know your lines, have excellent direction, the tech is perfect, even Mussolini could become Christ.
The point about Obama the Actor can be proved. I’ve learned a complete speech, and spoken it with a perfect British aristocratic accent. One of the Democrat ladies in the house said, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our country could be led by someone like that?”
I replied, “It was. The speech was President George Bush’s address at the Memorial service, National Cathedral, following 9/11.”
She walked out.
If Stewart Smalley can be elected to the Senate, Obama can be elected to the Presidency.

BC appears to have wandered over from Daily Kos where they actually believe that kind of stuff and, worse, repeat it to that diminishing company of people who still listen. Today’s news is the master and slave love affair between Obama and the MSM shows signs of fraying. When that goes seriously bad, the Obama administration will smell like a hillbilly s***house instead of the perfumed garden we now are told it is. Its enemies to the left will then begin to accuse the MSM of racism. You can already see it coming in the remarks of that doltish governor of New York.
BC:Well, I’d have to ask exactly how you contrive to say that a man who began his career turning tricks for a slumlord (Tony Rezko) could be called anything less than corrupt?

I tend to agree with what you say: the trolls give us a great way to learn the typical commie (pseudo)discussion strategies.
A careful analysis of their posts reveals (besides the obvious ignorance of the facts, of history, of logic and philosophy)a repeatedly implemented technique of “shifting” of the subject under discussion: the reality and the facts do not exist : only the ideological goal that the commies want to reach matters.
I find it very funny, because the marxist opinion was born clad in “materialistic” terms and has evolved into a totally irrationalistic philosophy: the same guys who wanted to convince the world that they knew the final and absolute truth behind the masks of history NOW talk (NOW means: after one hundred years of massacres committed by the commies all over the world, after hundreds of millions of people have been murdered, tortured, deported “for the greater good”),NOW they talk about “constructs” and play a game in which it is forever impossible to make them admit that THIS or THAT is a precise FACT.
very funny.
And it smells “party school” in Moscow 1917-1991.

Fact:
some time ago I read an analysis of Oboy’s
political career which contained two points
I have not encountered again:
1) A true Chicago Machine politician would
spend many years paying dues, working his
way up the ladder to the White House.
2) The District in Chicago which elected
Obama is an anomaly; The people there are
_not_ part of the Machine, and were very
disappointed when his true colors began
to show during his presidential campaign.
Question:
Who is sending all those instructions
to Obama by way of his BlackBerry ?
Opinion:
They are not playing politics, they are
playing Global Economic War, and expect

slide into the 2nd Great depression of
the US, a slide which began 40 years ago,
and has been unspoken accepted truth

You are so right on. 2010 is fast approaching and we need to fight hard to win back the house and senate.
Cadidate Obama was a man wearing a mask. He promised “Hope and Change”, intentionally not defining either term, confident that voters would read into those terms what they thought he meant. Now, as President, we see a different person. Unsure of himself, speaking extemporaneously into a hand held microphone, but in halting fashion, seemingly uncertain of what he wants to say, he lacks conviction. The suave, articulate candidate, reading from a teleptompter, was false, a hollow person.
Somehow I doubt that in the future that Obama will bee giving very many speeches especially ones that will be well paid. He will likely be thrown out of office either by vote or impeachment. He just like Clinton has over reached in what all he wants to do, and now I believe it is starting to set in that he is not going to get what he wants with not wanting any coverage of him or his family (he is sulking) while on “vacation”!
Really it is nice to see the start of the sh!t hitting the fan.
Well folks…it’s pretty clear we are in a lot of trouble with this guy.
Not that the media will notice…whatever cracks up next will be Bush’s fault. Count on it.

Perhaps you do not know this, but we already have a healthcare program for those who do not have health or dental insurance. They’re called a number of things, but most people know them as free clinics, clinics for the indigent, Medicaid, etc. Of course, those clinics are not actually “free” since the taxpayer pays for their existence, and we also have the subsidized programs (Medicare, etc.) which requires some nominal payment by the user/patient.
When I was in college in the 80′s, I used those free clinics. So did my friends and classmates. I got birth control pills, got annual physical exams, got periodic teeth cleaning and even root canals. And at the most, I may have paid $10 for the visit. If I didn’t have the money at the moment, they would let me pay later. That was in San Jose and San Francisco. My cousin who was a drug addict, alcoholic and on welfare at the time, was seen and admitted at a top hospital in Santa Clara, with no costs to him whatsoever — only to the taxpayers. My brother who’s out of work now, just got approved for food stamps and Medicaid in Arizona. Another one who recently lost his job, is receiving food stamps and also got Medicaid in Nevada.
This great country of ours has always given to the poor, unemployed, disadvantaged, veterans, Native Americans, newly displaced legal immigrants and even the lazy, parasitical, criminal and illegal aliens amongst us. Our healthcare system at the local and state levels are not perfect, but they exist to support those with medical needs. Reform is definitely warranted to fix some aspects of the system that are not efficient, effective or operate with cost savings, but an entire overhaul of what we already have does not make sense and is impractical and unsustainable for our economy through the outyears. Also, our private doctors and HMOs would end up closing shop because they would not be able to compete with a national, socialized one-pay system.
If you are in need of medical care and do not have means of making a payment(s), you should do some thorough research, and find out where you can get your healthcare needs met at the local or state level. If you’re an honorably-discharged veteran, you can go to the nearest VA clinic or medical center, even if the illness is not service-connected. The VA will not turn you away if you were honorably discharged and now you do not have the means to pay for your medical needs (believe me — I used to work for the VA). If you live far from a VA facility and have no way to get there, the nearest VA or Disabled American Veterans (DAV) outreach office, will provide transportation for you. If you drive there yourself (over 50 miles), the VA will reimburse you for the round-trip costs, including payment for meals if the medical appointment lasted a whole day or longer. (I know this because my father who is a 100% combat-related disabled veteran, gets the travel allowances and per diem payments since he has to travel from Arizona to Las Vegas for his appointments.)
Again, healthcare facilities already exist for those in need of them in America –don’t be fooled by Obama, Pelosi, Spector and Reid. We do not need to spend trillions of dollars for a new system when we, the taxpayers, have already been paying for existing programs. Although many agree that these programs are far from perfect, still, they exist and do provide healthcare to the masses. They just need some fine-tuning.
@98. BC: – blah, blah, *burp*, blah, blah…
Your talking points are getting really stale, BC. Time to email Central Planning for some new ones. Remember – trolling is supposed to be an art form, not the last refuge of the incompetent.
- … pulled back …
Didn’t happen.
- … an utterly bogus war with Iraq …
Promoted and approved by the Democrat leadership, because Saddam was actively providing financial support to international terrorism and had refused – for a decade – to comply with U.N mandates even while Clinton’s administration made constant war on his assets and planned for an invasion – luckily for him, his pants somehow came unzipped and he stepped on his Johnson instead of on Baghdad.
… all the while as the banking system and the economy at large were rolling merrily along towards a cliff,…
Abetted by the ongoing implosion of FM/FM, ‘affordable mortgages’ and manipulation of the housing and money markets by an unaccountable Fed which has known no party affiliation – all of which Bush and the Republicans tried to address – only to be labeled irrational and publicly ridiculed by criminals like Barney Frank and Maxine Waters.
- …Malkin’s “Culture of Corruption” …
We’ll note simply that you have not provided a single fact to refute even one of the points documented in her 76 pages of references (I’m leafing through it as I sit here – I’m sure you’ve never laid eyes on a copy).
- In a sane society, …
In a sane society, trolls like you would be forced to attend classes, not spend all your high school afternoons in your bedroom paraphrasing leftist talking point lists on the Internet for $7/hr and a chance to win a free PSP.
- don’t argue with this number — it’s from the most reliable research to date.
No need to argue. There’s never been ANY reliable research done on the number of Iraqi civilians killed – let alone a determination regarding how many were killed by al Qaeda suicide bombs, IEDs and various terrorist acts – your assertion isn’t going to carry much weight… anywhere.
BC, you’re no more than a symptom of the times we live in and the sort of obstructive, if not destructive person Obama depends on to mindlessly repeat his empty message while he pretends to fix up an awful lot of things that have gone or were going seriously wrong, thanks to the social engineering programs pushed by the Democrat Congress and the political elite of both parties who no longer know their place in society.
88 bill’s layer
You’re in way over your head with jharp. Better stick to Sarah Palin fantasies.
#96: “The healthcare program is badly needed”
That’s ok…if Obama and crew have their way, we’ll be getting one. Very badly.
#98: “the million or so Iraqi civilians killed to date (don’t argue with this number — it’s from the most reliable research to date.)”
Oh, how nice. The troll spits out a bogus number, with NO CITATION to back it up, and commands us not to argue with his assertion. Typical lib.
It doesn’t take long to separate campaigning myth from reality governing. Obama thinks he was elected ruler, he was not. America is governed by the consent of the governed, no matter how hard the radicals like Obama try to make it otherwise.
A simple question — who the hell does Obama think he is to try and dictate who where when and how I and my family can get healthcare. It’s un-Constitutional and immoral to think that any man or government can dictate that.
Obama was always a marxist punk. Nothing but a front man for the hate America extremists like Soros, Wright,Ayers,Peter Lewis,Stephen Bing ,etc. Well, now the chickens are coming home to roost and like all commies ,hes running to the shelter of Mamas little “helper”, his commie pals at Marthas Vineyard, the San Freak Sicko on the Atlantic. Meanwhile, he gives 2 BILLION to his pal SOROS to DRILL FOR OIL OFF OF BRAZIL while doing all he can to make America more dependent on his moslem cronies. If anyone PJM needs to start writing stories about, its SOROS and those like him. THEY ARE THE REAL ENEMY,OBAMA IS TOO STUPID TO DO ANY OF THIS HIMSELF.
@58
“circle-jerk of the a-holes!”
You’re drinking too much of the Obama wee wee, bibio.
NOW AND THEN! Woot! It’s trying to think….eeeeeeep! So JHARP won’t talk about Sweet Little Barry’s start in politics turning tricks for the slumlord. You wanna step up to the mic? (Sometimes….this is too fun.)
PEOPLE: I apologize sincerely for the troll abuse, but well, it’s really fun. BUT: That said, remember this. Every time Rachel Maddow, Olbermann, Matthews, Pelosi, and their legion of trolls open their mouths, especially now, they insult middle america and win votes for our side. IMAO the best ways to get them to reveal their true colors is to get them mad so that they speak truthfully and honestly about their disdain for this country and it people. Happy hunting!
34. misanthropicus:
“Bitter losing an election?” – that’s so over!
Yes, Mr/Ms Bitter Loser
35. Steve MacDonald:
“Vivo – Racist is a term used so often and so falsely by the left that it has lost its impact.”
You know exactly what I mean and feel so guilty.
38. Gary Ogletree:
“vivo: Nobody is buying the “racists” smear.”
That’s what the chicken said when he crossed the road . . .
50. AThinkingPerson:
“Should we just stand idly by? Not happening as you can see.”
The bitter party of NO. Tantrum.
54. Mr Lucky: maybe you should change to ‘unLucky’, or ‘not-so-lucky’. Sorry.
So… finally the obasm is over… pity that it took too much time
What is wrong with being a racist? After all, the majority of problems with our country are the result of the 13% that are African American. That is now being brought home by the idiot that is president. It is past time to stop being nice and worried about a label and time to face the problem that is Black America. After all, Lincoln wanted to send them back to Africa. But is the mean time we can watch our country die in his hands.
@121
How could I have forgotten vivo as yet another Obama wee wee drinker?
Obama the puppet candidate is alive and well..reading what he is given..and pulling our country apart. He really was quite an eloquent candidate, until we realized he had to use the teleprompter..
Beck had an interesting program on ,…about the “stuff” that is going on with Obama Adma.. He talked about “VAN JONES”. Intersting, Jones, a self confessed COMMUNIST…in our government!!, appointed by Obama, his friend… was he FBI vetted? if so how did he get by????????? What is happening to our country? I don’t care if you like Beck or not, so don’t bother..facts are facts.
So what the heck is going on? It’s like there is a fight going on all over the country. A fight to put U.S. citizens down, degrade us, put us on the offensive, take what we have worked hard for, what people have died for …There seems to be a concerted effort on the part of dems to dismantle America.
Obama said..”words just words” his words and actions have divided, not united our country.
I love the trolls on these sites…they get so incensed!! you go guys!! Better yet, skip their posts, pretend they dont exist, “it’s the Obama way”

MS.Rubin: you could describe Obama’s situation this way:REALITY 1, AFFIRMATIVE ACTION 0.
Put. The. Troll. Down.
Shame.
I often compliment people like delia, thinking person and goy by name; relish reading Sampson, Zangpo, Polanski, their commentary, on a good day, bordering on brilliant.
I miss some of the non-paid Obama boosters because people like Robert Hurley who may have never fazed thinking person, did faze me; with a few figurative bloody noses and hurt feelings here and there. I have oodles of respect for much of the opposition. Hurley’s one of many.
Then there’s today’s brand of what my allies call trolls.
Poor Vivo does a lot of language pick up because he can’t string two sentences together without sounding like a smart two year old learning how to speak. Vivo’s not dumb. He just learned English too quickly and too late in life.
Fact is, unlike the real patriots in here, I actually feel no animosity to the so-called trolls. I guess I blame commie teachers and ignorant upbringing. Plus, being a relatively young (21 year old) blond, blue eyed college kid whose Daddy is gonna putting me through school, I don’t have the nails tough experience to realize the danger that trolls and socialism present to decent American society. Dad and I share the death of my Mom, but he feels its brunt. I have a short cry and I’m okay.
My strong points probably lie more in my efforts to see the forest rather than the trees.
For example, I believe, Rahm and the Dem. power lawyers realize the Dems are going to be hit hard in the 2010 election. And, without a military event that Barack can be shown to lead like a gallant Patton, the Dem real brains figure the 2012 election is lost.
Barack’s power was giving speeches, but with only the mindless believing his drivel from here on out, America is most likely to be showing him not their thanks, but the door come next election time.
Ready for some deeper forest watching?
California may never go Republican again. It’s half Hispanic already. Except for the Hollywood libtards, money and non minorities are starting to move out.
The Democratic party is banking on the influx of Hispanics to solidify the Democratic vote in the west and southwest; eg., New Mexico, Nevada.
Then there’s the clandestine purpose of ObamaCare.
It’s to cause a tsunami of new illegal aliens that swarm all over the southwest and beyond. Socialized Medicina. Yipee. Muy bein.
In 3 to five years, a harvest of left leaning Canadians will sweep into Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. Because Canadian socialized medicine is a train wreck.
Then the vote will not be about foreign entanglements and social security, medicare and the economy. The issues will be about illegal immigrant rights.
In other words, the Democrats are thinking long term like the Chinese, like all good socialists.
They know they’ll be getting a beating in 2010, 2012 and maybe 2016, but from then on, for them, for trolls all over, things will be looking very bright. All they’ll have to do for everything from housing, jobs and healthcare is look to the government.
Of course, there is hope.
Making the right strategic moves between 2010 and 2014 can set traditional American ideals in concrete, like never before. Prayer in school has got to come back along with the Pledge of Allegiance. Yes, “Under God.”
But it’s kind of like the battle of the bulge, long form.
Taking back America will require McAuliffe/Hale type guts (the nuts general, the pre-hanging words), Patton like determination. Pollack like courage and leadership. Petraeus like-mensa-class strategic brilliance and Truman like Presidential willingness to make the toughest decisions.
As for me, I’m dedicating my life to helping these unknown patriots turn America toward the light of liberty honor and country.
By the age of 25, I should be fluent not only in Russian, Chinese and Korean.
And the lingo of terrorism.
But the language of freedom.
Try this:Walk out in to any space occupied by a majority of liberal arts degree recipients. Yell HOPE AND CHANGE or YES WE CAN. Then yell, FETCH! And throw a stick. It’s amazing, but somewhat disturbing.
Obama and beyond – think about it.
It’s inconceivable that Obama, all by himself alone, – without experience, credentials, achievements, name-recognition, nothing at all to be proud of – was capable to occupy the throne.
In all of our discussion ostensibly missing the fundamental scrutiny on the shadowy forces that put him on the pedestal where he is now.
I read no trenchant political analysis on the source of the Money(!)the backgrounds of the “Grey Eminences – (powerful advisers or decision-makers who operate secretly or unofficially…)
Until the veil of secrecy on the “EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489″(Google!) by which he sealed all his records is cracked, we know nothing about anything; – we just chatting to kill time.
President Obama does not want to govern, but he wants to dictate from high down below; this is why Obama’s CZARS must be given more light from the shadows. Obama’s czars is circumventing the power structure of the Constitution from Congress to the Executive branch. Also, his czars are not vetted by Congress. This is a problem. President Obama wants to be Kim Jong Il for America–the American Dictator.
However, the 2010 mid-term elections & “we the people” uprising at the various town halls around the country is proving to be another problem for the One.
I see more storms for President Obama…
here is a short video clip …it highlights how marxism has been using education to spread their ideology in north america
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTmbcyeZ9ic&feature=related
it is all in this short clip ..why trolls, or most democrats keep using the same arguments regardless of what they are shown.
To billslayer: Ah, so you’re saying that to become a card carrying member of the “Culture of Corruption” just means that at some point in your life you had dealings with someone who would later get in trouble with the law?
OK, boys and girls — especially you, Goy — let’s now compare this obviously unforgiveable, how-could-such-a-stupid-and-evil-man-become-President, level of dark corruption to some other Presidents:
Reagan:
1) He very much supported Saddam Hussein even after Hussein was a <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2006-11-05-saddam-profile_x.htm"known, brutal thug.
2) Iran-Contra — lots ‘n’ lots of very, very bad behavior overall apart from covertly dealing with a sworn enemy of the United States.
3) Central America — Ooo….some more, very, very bad behavior.
Enough about Reagan, how about George Bush the senior?
1) Amiable enough seeming guy, but for one thing, he was Vice-President under Reagan, so he had to have been party to those little shenanigans I listed above to some degree. As far as his associations go, well for starters he was buds with a guy named Mel Sembler, whom both Bush’s had as an ambassador, Australia and Nauru for Bush Sr., and Italy for Bush Jr. If you click on that Sembler link, you will get his official company web site. Now click on this link, which is a Fox News report from 2002 about this rather naughty drug rehab organization for teens called Straight. Talk about your bad associations….
2) But wait, there are more fun associations involving both Bush’s, namely to do with certain wealthy Arabs. But of course, Obama’s connection (well, sort of connection) to Acorn and Bill Ayers is so much more an indicator of corruption, ain’t it, eh?
As far as Bush Jr’s little issues go:
Google is your friend, and you don’t have to got very far back.
Oh look, in a single post on a right wing web site, I did more research than Malkin did for all her books put together, and more than what Fox News does in a year. My bad….
How come I never heard of this blog before? Great think piece, Jennifer Rubin. And mostly great commentary, too.
VIVO:Maybe you could change Your name to MUERTO,, to reflect the state of your brain.
54. “Mr Lucky: maybe you should change to ‘unLucky’, or ‘not-so-lucky’. Sorry.”
Sorry…? Ok. But what about this?
Boys in the Basement, Part IV (Note to readers born after 1988: It’s a Roman numeral “4″ and not something the paramedic sticks in your arm after an overdose.
When last we left mom’s basement, the trolls were lamenting Obama’s falling poll numbers. An early breakfast provide by the pizza wagon (only 3 minutes short today of 4pm) provided the troop with a brief distraction until vivo decided to snort the Parmesan. Jharp objected on the grounds that Humphrey Bogart was white and “to bogart” anything was inherently racist. He was awarded with a can of cheeze-wiz after appeal. His plan unraveled when he attempted to huff the gas and managed only to squirt a stream of liquid cheese from his nose.
Vivo opened the meeting: “I have summoned allies. Expect BC and Bye-bye-oh any minute.” His solemn incantation was answered a moment later by a soft knock from the top of the steps.
“Enter,” said vivo in the full confidence of his moral and intellectual superiority.
“Ayee,” screamed Moho, “it’s Mr. ~Paules.”
The steps creaked as the giant descended on the little group. He wore a camo shirt with the sleeves torn off. On his right bicep he bore the cruel runes “God and country.” The monster held a flashlight in one hand and a bar of soap in the other.”
“It burns us, it burns us,” whined vivo.
To be continued . . .
@134
And BC shows how much he, too, loves the taste of that Obama wee wee.
Vivo… Finally you are correct in one of your assumptions! The GOP IS the party of NO!
As in:
NO more tax increases.
NO more ramping up the deficit at an astronomical pace.
NO more taking over private enterprise for political gain.
NO more silencing dissent.
NO more thug politics.
NO more letting Pelosi call the shots from behind the curtain.
NO more letting the uneducated liberals tell businesses how to run their business.
NO more throwing seniors under the bus to gain a few bucks for another pork project.
NO more throwing the unborn out with the trash.
NO more letting idiot liberals educate our children when they have no grasp of history at all.
NO more letting the liberal MSM mislead the public and not report the facts.
Yep, you’re right, we ARE the party of NO! It feels pretty darn good too!
@134. BC: – let’s now compare this obviously unforgiveable, how-could-such-a-stupid-and-evil-man-become-President, …
You just walked straight into a wall, face-first, BC. There’s no way to compare BHO – or his record – to anything.
Why?
Because every significant document or record of BHO’s past is sealed.
You get points for doing what I told you. There’s a good little troll.
But you lose points for execution. You pulled up Central Planning’s talking points from a few years ago. They’re even more stale than the crap you were spewing earlier. Iran-Contra??? LOL!!!! You weren’t even born yet!!
You have quite a ways to go before you come anywhere near the 76 pages of references Michelle included in the book you’ve obviously never laid eyes on.
Oh, and I’ve scanned those references, and so far I don’t find anything from a Canadian web site called “Conspiracy Theories”. Conspiracy theories are “okay” when you want to channel Michael Moore, but they’re “bad” when someone speculates about why BHO refuses to release his original birth records, right?
What a tool.
Or BIB for short.
Sebastian #132 “I see more storms for President Obama…” An interesting phrase, the government used to be referred to as the “ship of state;” unfortunately, the wee weed man is at the helm. With a light breeze and clear skies anyone can steer the ship of state; but when the storm clouds gather and the wind picks up to gale force, there aren’t many who have faith in a wee weed captain. But once you agree to passage on the ship of fools, you have no choice but to ride out the storm.
Shakespeare captured the regret of the quintessential morning after in Sonnet #129; here we have the shame, regret, and self loathing that accompanies a lapse of judgement felt in the cold reality of morning. A condition that many feel from the months spent with the current administration.
Th’expense of spirit in a waste of shame
Is lust in action; and til action, lust
Is perjured, murd’rous, bloody, ful of blame,
Savage, extreme, rude, cruel, not to trust,
Enjoyed no sooner but despised straight,
Past reason hunted, and no sooner had
Past reason hated as a swallowed bait
On purpose laid to make the taker mad;
Mad in pursuit and in possession so,…
A bliss in proof and proved, a very woe;
Before, a joy proposed; behind a dream.
All this the world well knows, yet none knows well
To shun the heaven that leads men to this hell
If you detect a bawdy undercurrent to this sonnet, congratulations, you can probably understand the wicked and true nature of WS. He has made fun of all of us for four hundred years and most of your English lit teachers had no idea what he was writing about.
But for me the sexual innuendo and the puns in this sonnet describe the humiliation and despair I feel with this incompetent wee weed man occupying the White House.
#134 BC: After reading your post it’s obvious thatBC stands for bullcrap!BTW: If you want to become a member of the “culture of corruption”, all you need to do is join the Obama adminisTration:corrupt in both the pecuniary and mental senses.
GOY: A correction: BC wasn’t born, he was hatched from a reptilian egg.Otherwise: well done!
Thank you ~Paules, I needed that
luckily parallel president john fitzgerald kerry is really running the show.
Greatest President EVER!
Think about it.
Has united the middle class as never before, as they are rising up, going to the town hall meetings, demonstrating in protest for the first time in their lives, putting conservative books on the bestseller lists of the NY Pravda Times, making Dem after Dem go down in the polls, uniting the majority of folks in this country who are self-avowed conservatives (including the percentage that were fooled in the election).
What a great man this is!
As someone pointed out, he has united Israel, one of the most fractiously political places anywhere…but the vast majority of Israelis don’t trust Obama, even their Left…
He’s a miracle worker. Israelis haven’t been this united since the Six Day War.
My friends who are self-avowed liberals…even they are beginning to fear this man, or can’t support his craziness, have come to regret their votes.
I’m telling ya, he’s a uniter, he’s the best, he’s the BIG FREAKIN” ZERO, Miracle Worker and best POTUS ever. Can anyone dispute how he is bringing us together?!
Say BC when you say Obama is smart and ethical were you perhaps referring to his comment about “57 state”? Or was it his shady dealing with the convicted felon Tony Rezco that enabled him to buy his mansion in Chicago. I’m just asking.
@145. deguello: – BC wasn’t born, he was hatched from a reptilian egg.
Hatched? How nasty. Now he’ll be forced to call you a racist.
I am still trying to figure out how a person like Barrack H. Obama a non natural born citizen which requires by the way that both of his parents are citizen of the United States, his mother is, but not his father to be qualify to become president of the United States. I beleive they do have a commitee that pre-qualify the candidate, and I also beleive they go through an investigation. How in the hell something like that missed them, unless it’s a set up. I have an idea of the set up, but Hillary is probably satisfy with her position as Secretary of State.
Wow–first time I have ever read all these posts—all good ones except for BC and the other “useful idiots”. Most of your writers exhibit well thought out and well written blogs. It was a pleasure to read them all. You know trying to reason or argue with a liberal/leftist is like trying to convey common sense to a dining room table…………….
the man is a lie. in every way anyone can be, he is simply a lie and has been from day one. and VIVO, the ONLY folks at the town halls who are real and making ANY sense are the ones who are pissed off. but you’ll never get that.
Self-help for the three stooges, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi:
Stop trying to rule by fiat.
Start to govern by established laws.
Until then, we oppose everything you legislate.
Sincerely,
The Mob.
How could we the people be fooled to vote for Senator Obama to be President of the United States? It has been done once before in modern American history, 30 years ago, with the election of a former peanut farmer, Governor Jimmy Carter’s election as POTUS in 1976. Like President Obama, President Jimmy Carter was a virtual unknown. He was catipulated by the liberal MSM & given the then recent Watergate scandal, Republicans were rejected for a supposed Conservative Democrat in Jimmy Carter. However, once elected, he could not hold the Democrat Congress together since he lacked leadership skills just like President Obama. And just like President Obama, President Jimmy Carter & the Democrats crafted devastating legislation which created gas shortages resulting in long lines at the gas stations, raised more taxes, & spent an obscene amount of money. President Jimmy Carter coddled merciless dictators & was attacked by a rabbit. Sound familiar? President Obama intends to do more of the same. I fully expect President Obama to resurrect the “malaise” term when stagflation hits. Remember stagflation? Well, if you were born in the 1980′s, stagflation was a thing of the past until now. Stagflation will return under the Obama onslaught. That’s another legacy of President Jimmy Carter too.
#155. Sebastian Shaw:
“How could we the people be fooled to vote for Senator Obama to be President of the United States…”
========================================
That’s a pretty small ‘we’, Sebastian. Because only 58% of the electorate bothered to vote, Obambi got elected by only 31% of eligible voters. Most of us weren’t fooled by Obambi.
“I just see a smart, ethical guy trying to systematically clean up a humongous mess left by a corrupt, incompetent President, as well as fix a failing health system and some seriously deteriorated loose ends in Afghanistan.”

Missed the fourth pillar, Jennifer: clean and transparent government. Instead we got corruption and opacity.
The media (CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, MSNBC, AND the papers that end up in the bottom of bird cages) need to have town halls in front of THEIR doors and be shouted down for malpractice and misleading the pathetic morons in this country….
But then….WHO would cover it?

‘At a recent town-hall meeting in South Carolina, a man stood up and told his Congressman to “keep your government hands off my Medicare,” which is kind of like driving cross country to protest highways.’(B Maher)
The fact is Medicare was sold to the public as an insurance package, something the individual paid into and then was covered the same way they are with a private or employer insurance package. They haven’t yet come to grips with the fact that the shallow democrat thugs who have controlled Congress for most of the 20th century never let any money accrue anywhere for anything. Money came in; they spent it and borrowed against everything they could besides. That ‘s how we got to where we are now, democrat lies about plans that were going to help in the future that in the future are shown to be nothing other than ways to spend money in the past. The whole health thing started in democrat pea brains as a way to keep from dealing with Medicare and admitting that it wasn’t what they promised by making an even bigger program for everyone, based on even bigger lies to everyone.
Now that you and your fellow “progressives” have come out of the closet, so to speak, and want to admit you’re outright totalitarian socialists, you laugh at the people who taken in and believed your lies. And yet, at the top of the democrat heap is guy who has to have seven people walking in front of him to carry his Pinocchio nose which pretty much proves that you think the lies are still an inside joke.
Keep up the good work. Write Bill and ask him if he can do an entire show about how dumb people were to believe that what the democrats promised them when it was all lies. You’ll get a lot of laughs, but people with an average IQ or better will see it for what it is, and admission that every democrat program is based on lies.
Have a nice day

Good suggestion. Austrian is a lot like German. He would get a two-fer.
I believe the healthcare reform has opened the eyes of the American people and has shown us how incompetent our congressmen are. We need to vote most of them out of office (e.g. Bernice Johnson for one). This woman was having a phone conversation and disregarded her constituent. In addition, she did not listen to a word they had to say. She went on the Greta show and adamantly spoke about supporting the Healthcare proposal. There are so many other examples of our congressman incompetencies. I pray the American people truly vote them out. They are not working for us but instead following the lead of the Obama Administration.
It boils down to this: Obama isn’t as smart as HE thought he was. One of the most pompous politicians I’ve ever seen!
