Surprising isn’t it that the “best and brightest” don’t know OR PERHAPS DON’T CARE, as their real love affair is with the power to push other people around, that once trust is lost IT CAN NEVER BE REGAINED. What is regained is the independence of those who have been betrayed and acceptance of the wisdom of the ages : trust everyone but cut the cards.
As to distrust of the court media since 2004. Maybe. But out there in the boondocks there are people, some of them veterans of real shooting wars, because no longer young of little interest to today’s people, who have not trusted the print or TV media since their reports AND COMMENTs on the Vietnam War.
The first shot by these media across the bow of a stable cohesive American Society. Under rubric Liberals, fairness, compassion, “power to the People”.
Whether they knew it or not the people in influential major media were, and have continued to be active, if not avid, volunteers in that army of useful idiots of Lenin, Alinski and their ilk.
“Best and brightest indeed” ?
