UPDATE – TUES – 8:16 PST:PJM sources inform Kamalfar is still at the Moscow airport and did not leave for Iran on the first flight. An Aeroflot flight leaves for Tehran in about an hour. Negotiations are ongoing between human rights organizations and the Russians and, presumably, between the Russians and the Iranian regime.
FURTHER UPDATE – 16:26 PST: Midnight in Moscow, as the song goes. The latest reports to reach PJM are that Zahra Kamalfar is under the watchful eye of three Iranian men with ear pieces. (She knows they are Iranian because they whisper to each other in Farsi.) It is probable they could not be there without the acquiescence of the Russians. Meanwhile, PJM has learned that Kamalfar’s brother – Nader Kamalfar – has official political asylum in Canada. Her other brother was killed in Iran, presumably by the regime. At the moment, Zahra has no papers to prove her family identity. Those are in the hands of the Canadian law firm representing her brother, but are not available until Wednesday. How inhuman, how merciless, how cruel a treatment!
To my fellow countrymen all around the world, let’s show the mullas in our country we are resolute and able to fight back! Let’s do all we can for Zahra and her children!!
To those who will decide the fate of this ill-omened family, remember abiding by laws that are against humanity makes you as culpable and guilty as those issuing those orders.
A meaningless sideshow. We cannot fix the Muslim world by allowing the Muslims to foist their troublesome citizens onto us as a relief valve. We simply strenghthen their grip in their Islamic gulags, and weaken ourselves by taking on the added burden of millions of refugees — most of whom fail to abandon the belief system and culture which forced them to be refugees in the first place. These people come here, and most continue to remain Muslims.
We will help the Kamalfars best by working to destroy the belief system which mader her flee. This would best work if the persons who disagree with the trajectory of islam remain in their homelands and FIGHT to fix the situation.
Because of the nature of Islam, this torrent of refugees from its heinousness will never cease — and given Islam’s latest triumphalism and resurgence — this torrent will simply turn into a tsuanami which will drown us all.
Bleeding hearts proclaiming their desire to ‘help’ this woman are only soothing themselves with self deception. That isn’t to say her plight isn’t tragic. But get used to it. There are millions exactly like her within Islam — and without such persons taking a stance against the horrors of their own culture and religion, islam will continue to grow and threaten us — Islam is an unfixable burden we must not shackle ourselves with… It’s up to Muslims to fix it. And if they can’t, then we will have no choice but to utterly destroy it, since it threatens our very existence now.
Morton (above), you are a posturing windbag. Kamilfar and her family placed themselves on the frontlines of the war against the Mullahs and have suffered terrible consequences. We owe them our help.
Furthermore, if this case does make the MSM, it will become a perfect illustration of the true nature of the Islamic Republic.

MarcH — Thanks for your emotional non-response to my post. Do you wish to address my argument?
Hysteria and soft fuzzy gestures will do nothing to save us from our brutal Islamic enemy. ‘Saving’ this woman is a meaningless gesture for two reasons. 1. It helps enable the system which destroyed her in the first place, and 2. places yet another adherents of Islam (the ‘religion’ which caused her woes) in our domain.
Most of those ‘disaffected youth’ in Europe and here in America arrived as refugees from the horrors of their religion and culture of origin — yet, once here, they simply have perpetuated the self-same broken belief system which caused them to flee in the first place. What good does that do anybody?
If she’ll disavow Islam, then she should probably be welcomed into the West. If not, then tough luck. This should be our policy towards “refugees” fleeing Islam.
Or are you suggesting that the constant never ending sufferance on the part of the West on behalf of Muslims is having a moderatin and good effect on them? Where’s the proof.
I see millions upon millions of Muslims, even those living in America under conditions far superior to all the rest of the Muslims in the world, still filled with hatred and contempt for our society. What good has permitting them to benefit within the society we inherited done? It seems to piss them off more than ever. Why bring another into our fold? Nearly every one who has immigrated into the West no doubt had a story JUST LIKE HERS.
Nasty sounding, perhaps, but very true. Those are the facts. Muslims hate us because their system teaches them to hate us. And Muslims seem to be fairly unaffected in the long run by every gesture of generosity and tolerance on our part. Such gestures simply seem to translate into worse demands from them, and more contempt from them.

This is not a debate about the nature of Jihad. It’s an attempt to rescue a brave freedom fighter and her family.
