‘We Con the World’ — Banned by YouTube, Now in HD on PJTV
While its ultimate impact on ending African hunger may have been dubious, the childlike melody and sanctimony of “We Are the World” has made it one of the most parodied songs of the last 25 years. Everybody from In Living Color in 1991 to Saturday Night Live in 2010 have parodied it. (Al Gore’s “Live Earth” concert in 2006 may have been the most extreme parody of all.)
So when the satirical Israeli website Latma TV created “We Con the World” earlier this month, and after it received over three million views on YouTube, it came as quite a surprise when YouTube caved to censorious interference from Warner/Chappell Music Inc. and pulled the original video.

As Caroline Glick, the editor-in-chief of Latma and a senior contributing editor of the Jerusalem Post, said yesterday, “It’s not as if a clip that has been seen by 3.5 million viewers is just going to disappear.”
It’s true we make a better day just you and me, so let’s start clicking.
I can only understand the ban from the point of view that it’s copyright infringement; Not controversial.
Islam is the most controversial propaganda permeating this planet today. Should be classified as a global disease.
Even copyright infringement doesn’t cover this as the the “we con the world” was a clear example of parody, which is exempted.
Evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that the clip is extemely effective propaganda.
This coming from youtube which has hundreds of active radical islam terrorist propaganda and snuff videos of US soldiers. Paypal and Ebay are banning in the same way. What is happening to our freedom of speech? It is a tragedy.
I think the term, “abuse of power” applies to the folks at youtube.com

Thank goodness for competition, because I would hate youtube.com to have a monopoly.
Our free speech is fine. Keep in mind that the first Amendment says that CONGRESS shall make no law… infringing freedom of speech. Private entities are free to do as they wish. It is their servers, and their bandwidth. PJTV has picked up this video and run with it, so it is still available.
But all the anti-Bush and jihadist videos are still on YouTube… wait, could they be keffia-wearing, left/libtard freaks with no sense of humor? By George, that’s it!

was that really a copyright infringement ? i rather put it in remixes category as the audio was doctorate via other pitch sounds (namely voices), so scientifically its not a copyright infringement for sure in digital audio world ? is it ?…
YouTube is only displaying the exact same behavior that all so called ‘information’ or ‘social’ networking site either already display or will be displaying in the very near future: Censorship and PC (government [any] dogma rules the spoken and written word and is working on reading/controlling the thoughts in your HEAD). Social networking sites, and you know the list, ALL of them, already censor freely.
The entire world (very nearly) in now, once again, anti Semitic. The reasons why don’t matter, only that we (as a people) haven’t yet learned the lesson of humanity despite the millions killed in the name of it.
That remark – that the whole world is again becoming anti-Semitic – really hit me in the solar plexis! For the past year or so, I have been having this feeling of depression, based on that very observation. And, for the first time in my life, I feel the persecution personally! As an American, I have NEVER felt second-class or fearful of others’ opinions; now, however, as a passionate Zionist, I am beinning to have the same feelings that probably many Jews experienced living in ever-increasingly anti-Semitic Europe in the 1930s: i.e., it’s a very creepy, fearful feeling that doom and foreboding are just around the corner. I would love to embed it on my blog–but had to choose the eyeblast version, because PJTV doesn’t allow embedding or downloading of videos. PJTV loses a lot of coverage in the blogsphere because of this–most bloggers don’t want to post a link, they want to post an embed.

She is so important to our cause that I ‘forgive’ her triple whammy-growing up in Hyde Park(Obama’s ‘hood), graduating Columbia U (AKA, Bir Zeit on the Hudson) and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.In a way, the fact that she survived this indoctrination, and emerged as strong as she is, shows that she is one of the few capable to lead our charge.
I agree: Namely, Caroline Glick is definitely “da bomb!” She is an amazing, insightful writer and political analyst – and, yes, we are, indeed, lucky to have such a strong person in OUR camp!! And I think it’s good that she does have all those academic credentials – especially having to fight the Liberal Left, now in bed with the Palestinians. She can speak THEIR language, but she propounds OUR ideas and ideals! She can go mano-a-mano with any of those jerks and emerge victorious! Go, Caroline Glick, Go!!

I reiterate my question posed earlier: Is there any television network, anywhere, that would air “We Con the World” in its entirety, other than PJTV.
The silence I am receiving is deafening and shows how many pay lip service to freedom of speech.

YouTube is guilty of removing this video when Warner filed a copyright claim. However, they apparently relented from the pressure folks on both the Left and the Right put on them for its removal.

Conservatives should be leery before beating, figuratively of course, YouTube with this particular stick, for the charge that YouTube is “censoring” this video no longer holds water.
