Vick is charged with killing dogs that didn’t measure up in the ring.

A modest proposal: reinstate Vick, and if he fails to measure up in his next NFL start, we electrocute him or hang him from the goalpost. Fair is fair.

PETA be damned, I don’t think any human being should spend one day in jail for killing an animal. Michael Vic is being punished by a huge loss of income and prestige. Enough is enough. Peta kills thousands of animals every year. Michael Vic killed some useless dogs. Dog gone case closed!!!!

Torturing anything is a depraved act. The fact that Vick personally killed at least eight dogs himself in painful and grizzly ways, is played down in the biased MSM. How many dogs has he personally tortured to death in his life is unknown, and the question has not even been asked. It takes a special kind of personality to enjoy inflicting misery on others, animal or human.
We see this a lot in the MI where muslims seem to enjoy torturing captives, but at least they are doing it for Allah, who is Vick doing it for?
The dogs were his captives, and look how he treated them. This is the lowest form of mental deravity
possible for a human, to torture to death helpless captives, and enjoy every minute of it. This is worse than sick, it is fiendish. And now he has found Jesus and begs him for forgiveness. Liar.
I hope whenever he dies, wherever he goes, that all the dogs he ever mistreated to death are there, and pizzd off.

I feel no more sympathy for fighting dogs than I feel for moose, lions and bighorn sheep. To the same extent many anthropomorphize dogs to attribute feelings of fear and despair, why not attribute feelings of fun, excitement and exhilaration? Actually, aren’t such emotions more likely in dogs bred to fight and kill? In the wild animal world, fighting is as central to life as eating and mating. You’ll notice that a lot of animals are built for it: teeth, horns, etc. (Makes me think we’re probably doing zoo animals no emotional favors when we “protect” them from their own natural behaviors of fighting–part of the essence of animal life, part of what likely makes them feel “most alive”.) Still, can we agree it’s inappropriate for people to fight dogs? Sure, okay. But that’s because it’s beneath humans, not because it’s beneath dogs.

Frankly, gambling is what dog fighting is all about. It’s where the real money is to be found in that ‘sport‘ and the gambling charge is what has him really frightened.

A year or two in the crowbar motel he can handle, if there is a chance he can play again. However, if a gambling charge sticks, he is done forever in NFL. They will not in ten thousand years risk a quarterback throwing a game.

In this and other dog fighting instances, the dogs are not the animals. This subhuman activity – in communities both black and white – will now receive the condemnation it deserves. You don’t have to be a member of some animal rights group to find this despicable and totally unacceptable.

So Vick has found Jesus has he? I presume he has “found Jesus” in the same way that film stars “find Rehab” when they have made complete idiots of themselves (“it wasn’t my fault it was the drink and drugs – I’m the real victim here” blah blah blah).

I just find it impossible to belive that there are still people around so mind-numbingly stupid that they swallow any of that PR drivel anymore.

There is little doubt but that a tenacious prosecutor merely needed to persist and eventually the evidence against Michael Vick would be overwhelming. I imagine by now there is enough of it to convict him ten times over. If nothing else, Vick’s bank records would reveal the large checks he provided to fund the operation. That alone should guarantee a substantial jail sentence. What was this cruel and immature jerk thinking? Didn’t it ever cross his mind that the odds were against him? Sooner or later, the proverbial crap had to hit the fan.

The fans will never allow Michael Vick to return to football. He crossed the line of no return when he tortured helpless animal to death. A few nights ago the Houston Rockets guard Rafer Alston was charged with stabbing another man in the neck! Too many athletes are out of control. Professional sport teams have got to clean up their act. I believe some sort of tipping point has been reached—and many fans will no longer be as forgiving as they were in the past. This is especially true of parents.
