Vicious Jew-Hatred Wins Center Stage at UC Irvine
To see a firsthand example of Islamic fundamentalist anti-Semitism, you need look no further than the University of California, Irvine.
The campus’ Muslim Student Union is nationally infamous for their annual anti-Israel week (which they unsuccessfully christen “Palestine Awareness” week) and for the vitriolic anti-Semitic language of some of their speakers. The MSU is the type of organization proud to invite the soft-core porn-drawing, scholar-wannabe Norman Finkelstein, which it did in 2008.
This past May, the MSU’s anti-Israel week was perhaps more gorged with controversy than ever before. A number of campus groups organized in order to petition the co-sponsors of the week-long carnival of misinformation of the nature of the event they had agreed to co-sponsor. As it turned out, many of these campus groups were unaware of the controversial nature of anti-Israel week, as the MSU delegates who pitched it to them failed to objectively and accurately describe it. As a result of the petition, five co-sponsors reneged their participation. In addition, one of the MSU’s scheduled speakers — Gideon Levy, a Jerusalem Post journalist — also canceled his attendance.
The anti-Israel event this year was dispersed over three weeks rather than one, with the second week serving as the main course. The wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing cast of speakers the MSU invited this year featured Reem Salahi, a National Lawyers Guild delegate; Anna Baltzer , a so-called “renowned” humanitarian voice on the Israeli-Arab conflict who has colored Zionism as a “racist movement”; Cynthia McKinney, a Green Party candidate and former member of Congress who was nearly arrested in 2006 for punching an officer at Capitol Hill; and the coup de grace of every anti-Israel week across the Western U.S., Amir Abdel Malik Ali — an Oakland imam who has repeatedly accused Jews of controlling U.S. media, the economy, and perpetrating 9/11.
Reem Salahi hosted an event during the first week exploring Israeli “war crimes” during the Gaza offensive in the beginning of the year, broken down into six sections designed to systematically refute pro-Israel claims (Israel does not target civilians, Israel alerted Palestinian civilians before airstrikes). Salahi force-fed the audience a warped, hobbled logic to reject these claims (civilians died in Gaza as a result of collateral damage, so Israel is targeting them. Salahi only saw one flyer during her trip to Gaza, so Israel didn’t warn civilians about airstrikes).
Anna Baltzer and Cynthia McKinney gave speeches of no notable interest during the second week, aside from the usual “Israel is a criminal state” and “Israel is unjustly perpetuating a holocaust.” McKinney did recount her experience of attempting to sail to Gaza during Operation Cast Lead and expressed outrage as she said her boat was “rammed” by an Israeli warship — an action she for some reason did not predict before she tried to illegally cross a military naval blockade meant to block weapons smuggling.
Zionism IS racism. The whole world sees this to be true. Wake up.
Given how far gone the “Sons of Allah” have gone, I have my doubts that this approach would work.

Area Synagogues and Jewish Associations said, in so many words, “No!” The decision was made to give permission, and what clinched it was that Mr. Arthur said he supply a special patrol of policemen as added security, just in case things

The anti-Semite gave his speech, and then faded even more into obscurity. Perhaps it had something to do with the special patrol. Each member of that patrol was Jewish, and the anti-Semite realized it.
So, would that work? A special squad of Jews, Christians, or both, just in case things got ugly. For there is a lot to feed the fires of sending a very strong message to those deformed souls who abuse freedom of speech.
No surprise there. If they were spouting racial epithets against any other group besides Jews they would be kicked off campus and the real shame is that the taxpayers of California are funding this racist nonsense. This proves that the left is Jew hating to the core.

For the school to crack down on this hatemongering would not be chutzpah. It would be backbone.

As a standard Pole , in the US 150 years, so that being “Polish” means I like ham, perogi, egg decoratings and Goumkie, what can I say? Crazy people hate people for their roots. When I was a kid, people made polack jokes because they were taught polack jokes. No one hated me because I was slavic, or Catholic. Polack jokes made no sense to me, white people jokes made the same sense, none. i did not get the humor. I DID get the joke on blacks, I saw tons of black people jokes. Everything I describe was the way things were, funny, or maybe not, evil, or maybe not, no one took it very seriously. I wore a shirt with a Polish flag, but never took it personal about the polack jokes. I have no clue in the new America.
I kept waiting to read what would have the inflammatory anti-semitic rhetoric that would justify the headline. Where were the outlandish quotes that one would expect from the characterization of the event? Wasn’t the person covering this using a video camera or a recording device? There’s only characterizations with no proof. That seems to be the way you citizen journalists need to do things. I’ve said it before, that’s not what citizen journalism is about–its about reporting on events and issues with the same level of veracity that WE expect from the media. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever read anything with such low standards.

The Pew Research Forum recently did an extensive survey of religous practices in the US. Questions attempted to determine how important was their religion to someone’s daily life, how often did one attend worship services, say prayers, etc.. All catagories broken down by religion, age, etc.
Based upon this survey, American Jews are predominantely secular, religion is NOT part of their daily life – e.g. don’t read scripture daily, don’t pray daily, and almost as often, not even weekly – their positions on most things are in fact, are quite liberal-secular in their beliefs.
There are American Observant Jews, for whom their religion is part of who they are on a weekly or even daily basis. They are generally NOT liberal, and certainly not secular.

However, believing that, of all the peoples in the world, the Jews but ONLY the Jews are to be dened their natural right of national self determination IS applying a racist double standard. The arrogance of the Palestinian and Moslem positions is that they believe that once an area has been conquered for Islam , that it remains so, whether or not re-captured by the original owners. Thus, the Palestinians as Moslems,although as the descendants of economic migrants in post-Zionism, recent historic times, are un-related to the original Moslem conquerors, assert their claim to Israel as superior to that of non-Moslems on that basis. Jews are a dhimmi people and are supposed to be subservient to Moslems. Until those racist attitudes fade away from the world of Islam, there is un-likely to be any resolution of the conflict.

It’s a common knowledge that inciting to murder, killing or other type of physical threat in public area is punishable offense in this country. By corollary these college Jihadists are smart enough to stay out of trouble by using legally unassailable wording to express the same intentions.
