Compasionate conservatism is right to life without safety nets-like welfare?
Compassionate conservatism like save the unborn so you can send them to war.
Corporate welfare and bailing out banks, then leave the public with economic debt.
You won’t even be elected as dog catcher.
Republican economies never help the middle class, just the wealthy.

Don’t you remember the republican party ran on compassionate conservatism and it ran it’s course into the ground-let social security become privatized in the stock market? Did that.
Promised so may things like not going to war?
You guys promised many things and didn’t get’R done.

P.S. I notice over on Eric Florack's thread about Frustrated Conservatives, at least Eric Florack, engages in the discussion. And the question here becomes, "Why doesn't Clarendon?" One gets the distinct impression that Clarendon is just another shill for the 'progressives'.

I wonder if “Clarendon” (by the way, it’s the name of a “chic” neighborhood in Northern Virginia…ooh la la) has ever seen the original film “The Manchurian Candidate.”

It make you wonder what his “thoughtful conservatism” (…the descendant of “compassionate conservative”?!) would do with those GARDEN CLUB LADIES…much less with the Angela Lansbury character….

they never burned presidental effigies,flags or called for members of an administration to be tried for war crimes.
it was right wing agitaters who started all those riots.
i was just old enough during reagans time to remember how sweet and nice they were to him.
