#4..cfbleachers..You said what a lot of us feel. Take the ignorant mocking of certain people here as compliment. Must be the “change” in the air. They will be the first to scream and yell at the injustice and horror they are about to witness in this most hysteric, excuse me, historic election. Within months these very same people will refuse to admit they voted for socialism, they will join us in our fight to free this great country from a evil so devastating, millions have died to stop it. Obama is not the president, will never be a president, he is a product, manufactured handpicked from the slums of Chicago, by the Alinsky followers. A puppet of the people who have hated America and Americans to the point of madness. Honestly, sit back, pop some popcorn and watch the “Homegrown Terrorist and Socialists Government Comedy Show.” When 95% of his bros and sisthas spend endless hours and days at empty mailboxes, a revolution will be at hand. All I can say is, it’s worth the loss to teach 1/2 the voters how unmessiah like Obama really is. By the way cfbleachers, I love your maudlin prose…

I am responding to comment #209 by Katie. I am a staff worker with the Jews for Jesus organization. Most blogs and news services have quoted the same snippet of the 40-minute message that David Brickner of Jews for Jesus delivered at Sarah Palin’s church, giving the false impression that he believes that terrorist attacks are God’s judgment on Israel for not believing in Jesus. Yasmeen, I assume you can read- What part of my statement did you not understand? The Khalidi that Obama is involved with is not the same Khalidi who now sat on the board of the organization in question. Obama’s guy might have been a founder in the 70s for this group but long ago ceased being affiliated.

Yes this is a sorry cynical attempt by those who support the Dems and Obama. That is a manufactured statement by those at the Huffpost and other liberal blogs. Please read #318 and get your facts straight. You really should stop depending on blogsites for your facts though, and do your own research. You would learn much more and sound infinitely smarter by not repeating the same garbage as every other Obama follower.

What if I were to say that I was a Jew who had served on the U.S. Interreligious Committee for Peace in the Middle East with Rashid Khalidi? Would my Jewishness have been tainted? Would I be endorsing the bombing of my fellow Jews, innocent civilians, pregnant women, simply by sharing the company of this professor who is of Palestinian heritage and speaks out for some of the causes of the Palestinian people?
Would I be a traitor to Israel for speaking with this man?
Would I be an enemy of America?
Would his views become my views?
Would listening to him make me culpable in the deaths of people in my homeland?
In not rejecting persons who expressed views disagreeing with the policies of the Israeli government, would the Interreligious Committee for Peace in the Middle East be acting as a haven for terrorist sympathizers?
Would I, myself, then become a terrorist sympathizer?
What then, if I supported Obama? Would that change anything? Everything?

My view is that people who fear Obama fear him first and then seek a reason.
So the search goes on.

Dear beemer:

You act like this sorry, desperate, cynical attempt to get votes was drummed up by Democrats. We are just responding to yet more Republican hypocrisy and smoke and mirrors.

John McCain was apparently the Chairman of the International Republican Inst. when at least some of the money was given to Khalidi’s organization. So surely, if he thought Khalidi to be a terrorist sympathizer, MCain would not have supported this funding – or would he? If the supposed “liberal” media had the balls to present different sides to the story, unlike Obama, Bush-McCain will never survive scrutiny of their “associations” many of which have greatly harmed the American taxpayer, our military, our pensions and constitutional rights. (Phil Gramm, Charles Keating, Ken Lay, Karl Rove, Saddam Hussein, the Bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia, not to mention their buddies and relatives in the banking industry. McCain also praised Khalidi as a moderate and someone who was opposed to the tactics of the PLO. So was the IRI’s funding to Khalidi’s organization a sincere attempt to problem solve or just a front to create the appearance of American “fairness” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Putting the McCain/Khalidi Allegation to Rest

In reaction to the plethora of information regarding Obama’s relationship with Columbia professor Rashid Khalidi, Obama supporters have seized on a piece by Seth Colter Walls at the Huffington Post alleging that McCain too is tainted by “guilt-by-association” because in 1998 the International Republican Institute (IRI), whose board he chaired at the time, gave a $500,000 grant to the now-defunct Center for Palestinian Research and Studies” (CPRS) and Khalidi was one of its seven founding trustees. And the Obama campaign has done likewise.
