The Scene at the White House Following Brown’s Historic Upset
At a street corner I noticed about a half a dozen young men in coats and ties, clearly presidential aides. Well, I guess not everyone had gotten the memo! The group gathered momentarily next to Blair House, the official guest house for visiting presidents and prime ministers. I caught up with them and asked if they were presidential aides. They turned and sort of grunted yes. They looked a little warily at me, but also expectantly, as if I might ask for an autograph. Or maybe inquire how it felt to work for a president.
Instead I asked them what they thought of the stunning result in the bluest state in the nation. They went from casual to frozen in a heartbeat. There was this single awkward moment. It was very dark. Brusquely, the tallest one repeated the protective mantra for those who work in nation’s capital: “We have nothing to say.” He turned away and briskly walked through Lafayette Park. He looked about 35-years-old. I think he was the group’s boss. The group trailed behind him.
The guy’s response sort of reminded me of a line from the comedy Hogan’s Heroes. Sgt. Schultz would repeat over and over again to his American POW’s: “I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!”
Now the group were just silhouettes.
Happy anniversary, guys.

America has said: “Keep the change”
It’s been forty years, but the wait has been worth it after all. Teddy’s legacy has been redefined. Thanks Scot.

I will not use the term “Masshole” for the foreseeable future.
this I promise.
Thank You MassVoters.
Well, logically speaking, what should they be doing, after getting spanked like that? I’d have my tail between my legs, too.
Hurray for Sen-elect Brown!
I am sure the oblammo spin doctors will be working overtime. . . as soon as the trolls get their talking points, they will be out in force, squealing as loud as they can. . . georgie soreass will be digging deeper into his coffers. . . .what a beautiful day!!
This is the quiet before the storm. If there’s one thing that this year has taught us is that this administration, from the top on down, is entirely contemptuous of, “We the people.” I expect that the WH will come out in a few days with guns ablazing, Bonny and Clyde style.
You see, nothing could possibly be wrong with their infallible plans. The problem is simply that those evil Republicans are confusing our simple-minded brains. They have stood in the way of our noble and dear leader’s attempts to “get the message out.” If only we understood the depth and breadth of the brilliance that is our betters, we would be eternally grateful for benevolent service to us.
And so, this temporary setback is all the more reason to eliminate the malicious vast right wing conspiracy that is befuddling the little people. They must be discredited and hounded out of existence so that we may move forward in to the brave new, progressive world that they have designed for us!
Excellent, artful and creative writing. In truth, I can only imagine the turmoil in the Pelosi and Reid compounds, as well as Congressmen busy at the shredders, and Senators thinking up new ways to fool the public.
We are energized. God Bless America
Thank you Massachusetts! The opening shot has been fired and the first battle won. Now a bunch of incumbents need to be voted out and that includes a bunch of corrupt Republicans and Democrats both, who feel they are “entitled”. I pray that America is finally waking up after a long sleep.
Sneaky people do their best dirty work under cover of darkness.
They had “nothing to say” tonight, but the tell-all books in years to come will reveal depths of incompetence, conniving, and mendacity in this White House that will make us wonder how the country survived.
I feel waaaaayyyyyy better than I did a year ago. He he he!
America has stopped drinking the koolaid. The people have spoken again, now will you listen? Obama put the pen down and back away from OUR whitehouse. Reid take your back room deals along with Pelosi and move to an abandoned island that you CAN control. This is The United States Of America where THE PEOPLE are in charge.
Wonder how Obama like his first anniversary as president? Hey Obama last night we won and you lost can you hear what the country is saying now?
We do not want your “health care (insurance) reform”. Fix the economy by cutting taxes and give up on your other ideas, so far they ain’t working too well and we are kinda mad about it!
When Scott makes his initial drive to Washington in his Pickup Truck….get in line….greatest display of Truck Power ever….every exit and entry ramp filled with trucks….
skip school, take time off…get in the line….
America is finally waking up to realize the emperor has no clothes.
Now….if we could only wake up about the reality of the religion of peace, Islam.
~ The Infidel Alliance
CTV news this AM announced that the Republicans had “robbed” President Obama and the Dems of their 60 seat super majority. This is the moment that the darkness begins to recede and the seas subside.
This is just the beginning, don’t stop. Give time, talent and treasure to the cause.
To The White house:Can You Hear Me Now? From WE the People
Good for the Massachusetts patriots!! Scott Brown is a really good man. Hard for the White House to show a tiny bit of graciousness. Truly not in their genes. Saul Alinski has the solution to this development and it is to “double down”. “Take no prisoners”. “Be angry and blame any convenient straw-man (or women)”. The lodestone for the Obama presidency is still taking over the US medical system and making it another post office or Amtrac. Its all about COMMAND AND CONTROL.

By all means enjoy this victory, but do not lose your perspective.
America got set back 10 steps with Obama’s election. This Massachusetts victory means that the country we are still 9 steps from getting out of the Obama hole.
Look at the destructive deficits and debts he’s run up!
The fight is only beginning.
Saddled with Klobuchar and Franken is like being buried in manure. I sent each of them a message last night:
Brown +5 in Mass!!!!!!!
Can you hear us now??????
Kill the Bill.
Klobuchar’s staffers will flush it and Franken can’t read so it will be lost but it felt good.
Hey Obama!
Its the constitution stupid!
We MUST not take this for granted. We MUST keep up the pressure and make sure we win big in Nov. Let us not get complacent no matter how they spin this and pretend to change course.
The quarantine is starting to set in. Right now, the chief deformed
soul in the Oval Office is as consequential as Prince John after the signing of the Magna Carta.
Which is as it ought to be, because there are things not to be trifled with.
For this is the question: whom do those inside the Beltway work for?
Those voters who live in the ridings, or the pointy headed ivory tower experts who can’t resist playing God.
Don’t be misled by the eery silence. The Ideologue in Chief has no plans to reconsider or retreat. I don’t believe his personality permits learning from past defeats, rather it provokes more intransigence. He has morphed from the Great Black Hope into a grave liability for the Democrat Party. Centrist Democrats had better take back their party. If they allow President Narcissus/Pelosi/Reid to push on ahead and damn the torpedos, last night will seem a cakewalk when compared to November 2010.
Guaranteed Obama will double down on the race to socialist utopia…which will seal his fate.
Hey – I’m Viivo – I’m an idiot!
Ha hah ha ha ha ha ha.
OK, good, you folks are now responsible for everything. Why haven’t you fixed the economy? Whattsa matter, your Brown Messiah turning out to be a Brown Hole? And what’s with his wife’s arms? And why does he use a teleprompter? Sure, he’s got a nice smile, but where’s his brain? And why is he apologizing for America? Watch out, you’ve awakened the sleeping giant of real Americanism.
dw
that is a fantastic idea, promote that on every blog hek call his office in MA (I’m in Toronto) he should be escorted by a sea of trucks to the White House can you imagine that.
Good won over Evil last night Jan 19th 2010.
“We have nothing to say” was, as the author says, a Sgt. Schultz way of CYA. Think of the trouble they would get into if they said something that displeased Rahm or ∅bama. It was much easier to say nothing.
Obama won’t hear us, guaranteed. His vicious assault on America will go into overdrive…which will doom him, thank God.
Well, the election was held for a senate seat in Massachussetts so maybe that will explain the lack of political activity in Washington. Duh……..
That is the one thing folks forget. Scott Brown is a senator from Massachussetts. Alot of folks in here think he is taking over the senate because he was elected to take Kennedy’s former seat. He is no Kennedy and it does not work that way. He will find out the hard way, that senate works on Seniority….then party ranking. Brown has neither. But what he does have (right now) is celebrity and celebrity does work, specially with the youthful PUBs and Dems. So he should play the “ignorant Palin” card for all its worth. And he wants a friends in Washington…the good advice for him is to buy a dog….Good Luck to him !!
The Obama agenda, run over by a truck. Not laughing now are you Mr. President? Well, prepare for more of the same.
Methinks there is an under current of fear and loathing among the liberals this morning . That strange unrest stirring in their bowels is a thing unmentioned in our nation for 240 years . The Spirit of Rebellion ! It began again in Massachusetts as it did before .
#6 MJBrutus — Well said.
So the White House was “eerily silent.” FINALLY!!!!! It’s about time they don’t open their mouths!!!
Like the Pickett’s confederate soldiers who reached Cemetery Ridge, this is the highwater mark of the Obama administration and the Pelosi/Reid Congress. Hope and Change is over. Like Napoleon at Moscow, from here on out they will be in inexorable retreat. Their outrageous Health care bill will not pass. They’ll lose their majorities in November 2010. In 2012 Obama will be replaced, his legacy the worst President in modern history. Even so, it will take a decade to undo the damage. If it can be undone.
so vivo, you finally see the light, and yes, you have been an idiot, but it is time to straighten out.
What worries me is the backlash. I do not trust the socialist ideologues… they will be scheming something underhanded and probably illegal to influence the election in November. Something will happen this summer or fall, something big, that will make some innocent people think twice about voting for the conservative candidates. These ideologues are probably busy already searching for any dirt (real or made up) on all those who are running this year. May God thwart their evil plans!
Mr. Pollock:
“Next door, the ornate Executive Office Building, which holds senior presidential aides, also was dark and bleak.”
Excuse me, but have you ever known a time when the OEOB was NOT dark and bleak?
I’ve always thought that the joint looked like some kind of Austro-Hungarian Empire police headquarters/prison facility erected to catch, confine and interrogate the enemies of the Habsburgs.
Maybe that’s just me.
The OEOB:

You tell me…
looks like the neo-comm TSA nominee has withdrawn! another win for the Republic!!! man the battle stations – damn the torpedos! send the cockroaches back to the baseboards. CHAARRGGGEEEEEE!!!
We should all in enjoy this. Obviously, from the article, the Administration has felt the round house punch. Sing, dance but don’t rest. This was only a battle not the war. It could turn the tide. But, to undo 60 or 70 years of progressivism is going to take a lot of years and individuals acting on the ground; in schools, in professions, in cultural endeavors including religious organizations. Use this event as encouragement and as a template for doing all the things it is going to take to win the war. The truth, civility, humbleness and logical thinking will win the day.
@32. Poor Citizen: – … the election was held for a senate seat in Massachussetts [sic]… so maybe that will explain the lack of political activity in Washington … Alot of folks in here think [Brown] is taking over the senate …
PC, why must you insist on being so pretentiously, laughably, relentlessly obtuse?
No one thinks Brown is “taking over” the Senate, you blowhard. The clear implication of “Brown (R-MA)” – and the only implication we needed – is this: the election of a Republican to replace ultra-liberal, ultra-hypocrite Ted Kennedy in the most ultra-liberal State outside the People’s Republic of San Francisco, proves that every single seat in Congress is now up for grabs. The congresscritters know it. The senators know it. Their staff know it. Their handlers know it. Their campaign contributors know it. Their lobbyists know it. Their families know it. And most importantly, they all know why: it’s thanks to BHO’s wildly unpopular, economy-destroying, radical marxist policies. Nelson just realized that he sold his soul for nothing. Any politician who makes that same mistake knows that the precedent has been set. There aren’t enough ACORN/SEIU thugs or million$ in the DNC to cover all their asses this November and in 2012. If they want to keep their job, they now know what they can and cannot do.
We can now be thankful that BHO has had about 1/10,000th the executive experience Bill Clinton had (if that). He’s used to having his arse kissed on an hourly basis, and hasn’t got a clue how to deal with this kind of outcome. He and his cast of useful idiots were just stopped cold in their tracks.
My bookie said the chance of a snow storm in Haiti with global warming had a higher chance than Dem Mass voting for a Republican. I guess people want change.
Skeezix, you’re so funny. I swear, every time you post it just brings joy to my heart.
Took the pleasure of peeking in at PMSNBC last night–first time in probably 5 years. The looks on the faces of Olbermonster, Madcow, and Chrissie was priceless. They all looked like they were trying to sh!t a football. Sad in a way, too, because most people figure out unicorns aren’t real when they are just tiny children.
great to see that the electoral system can work.
I still have concerns that the ACORN/SEIU crowd will be working behind the scene to “fix” the next races. I think they didn’t feel they would need to “fix” this one and it caught them off guard.
Instead I asked them what they thought of the stunning result in the bluest state in the nation. They went from casual to frozen in a heartbeat.
I was looking for forum regular and relentless democrat apologist, David S, to ask the same question.
Since in his best predictable pedantic liberal voice the other day, he intoned as to how in progressive Massachusetts Martha Coakley was a “shoe in” (sic)
Where the heck are ya, Davey ?
“Now the group were just silhouettes.” Good metaphor for obama. To me that is all he has ever been, a silhouette filled in by his handlers.
Hitler finds out Brown beat Coakley…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5VLeBhzE3Y
Mostly overlooked, Brown has as his lifelong cohorts – 30 yrs. ongoing service – everyone involved the National Guards of every state…the actual 1st call in Homeland Security. Opportune social network, no?
Senator Brown made one remark in his acceptance speech that has yet to be properly reported. He said: “The peoples’ money should be spent on weapons systems to defeat terrorists, not to pay lawyers to defend them.” Now that’s an apolitical sentiment that reverberates nationally. A military equivalent of “Drill Baby Drill!”
#47 – I watched a little PMSNBC as well. To me, it looked like they had just seen their drunk uncle running naked through a family reunion. All they could do was look at each other and pretend it didn’t happen.
Before the election in which Obama became president, I prayed that the person who won would be the one who would be best for America. I didn’t believe my prayer was answered then, but now with America waking up to reality, I may have gotten a YES!
And so, this temporary setback is all the more reason to eliminate the malicious vast right wing conspiracy that is befuddling the little people. They must be discredited and hounded out of existence so that we may move forward in to the brave new, progressive world that they have designed for us!
Indeed, the Massachusetts race is just one shot across the bow.
I do believe that this administration’s response will be to “double down” on the agenda.
‘Tis the thing behind the mask I chiefly hate; the malignant thing that has plagued mankind since time began; the thing that maws and mutilates our race, not killing us outright but letting us live on, with half a heart and half a lung. Moby Dick
Now that Americans are proven to be unworthy of Obama, he should move somewhere else.
I’m from Mass. The electorate is made of of:
51% – no party affiliation
37% – dem
12% – repub
This was a constitutional, tea-party, small governnment win. Not a republican win. People seem to forget that Mass voted twice for Reagan.
This victory can and should be duplicated throughout the US. Many patriots from outside of Mass contributed money and some even drove many miles to become a part of an historic moment.
Freedom requires eternal vigilance. Massachusetts in 1775 started a Revolution. Once again, the true defenders of liberty, right here in Mass, have done it again.
JFK would have voted for Brown. I’m really proud to be not only an American but a citizen of Mass.
Martha Coakley lost because the White House has lost the trust of the American people.
Now, even when the lights are on, President Obama resides in a very dark place; beside himself with worry and concern that he screwed the pooch.
Pushed this country in directions it was never meant to go. You know what I’m talking about. From Virgina to New Jersey to Massachusetts to every nook and cranny in America, the more people are seeing Obama for what he really is, the more people are rejecting him and his socialistic and unrealistic visions for America.
Redistribution of wealth. Civilian protections reserved for American citizens and presented on a silver platter
to enemy combatants who want to kill us. The destruction of the American Dream for our children because President Obama has some moronic
idea that you can spend your way out a financial crisis. Lunacy. The destruction and complete loss of faith in the free enterprise system.
Liquidating our health care system, best in the world, and overhauling with one the American people don’t believe in and don’t want. ObamaCare. What an expensive, premium raising, ration bringing, tax filled, socialist joke.
President Obama wants to make believe there are no terrorists so he tells his homeland security dame, Janet, to not use the term; to call what they cause mad made disasters. How out of touch can a President of the United States be?
Imagine the damage he’s tried to do.
He’s tried to jam down our throats the ObamaCare monstrocity? He’s tried to justify his curious friendship with Bill Ayers, shot for the cover of Chicago Magazine stomping on the American flag, then laughing about it with Obama. Barack Obama is so insensitive to the feelings of the American people that he’d rather spend money on lawyers to defend enemy combatants than try them without waste, but with fairness in a military court.
The constitution means nothing to Obama, but something you have to try to get around? What would the constitution say about a health care bill that requires a citizen to purchase it. Without a doubt it’s unconstitutional.
I think Obama would do fine as President of some European/socialist nation. Like a round peg in a round hole, I think he’d fit perfectly.
But not here. I get the feeling Obama has no sense of America. No appreciation of hallowed ground. American soil. Where millions of American men and women under arms have laid their lives for us on the alter of freedom. For Obama the straight line of headstones on Normandy I fear are nothing more than a photo op.
It was a great thing for this country to vote in the first African American President. Was it not?
But it’s a shame we seem to have voted in someone who has no appreciation for what America is. A country founded by self reliant, independent
people who never in their wildest dreams would think that one day school children would be singing the praises of our President, just like something that might happen in a European country that cares about kings and queens and monarchs and not the United States constitution.
In 1775 at Concord Massachusetts, patriots witnessed the shot heard ’round the world. Last night appropriately in Massachusetts, in many towns and cities, including Concord, it wasn’t the shot heard round the world. It was the vote.
I was watching CNN yesterday – just to see them cry…
Air America today said that Obama is losing because he is not left-wing enough. Somehow, that was supposed to help him with Independents and Moderates.
Clearly, the left-wing is in disarray.
To be fair – Obama was in a tough spot to begin with – bad economy, bankrupt banks, social security, medicare, medicaid, government pensions, unionized companies – everything bad. Any president would have a hard time – but this guy, he combined the most insane left-wing policies with complete arrogance, inability to run things, hubris, hubris, hubris, arrogance, inability to communicate with the people, obvious corruption, hurbis, hubris and arrogance. Well, I predicted in November 2008 on my blog that Obama would be a great president for America (he would drive America back to conservatives), but even I am surprised at how quickly and efficiently he did this.
Obama, you are most favourite American president. I am so happy American people elected you, not that old fart, McCain.
Anyway, the next thing I expect from our illustrious president is to go absolutely nuts in public. Rage, baby, rage. It’s all Bush’s fault!
For Rachel:
“Martha Coakley lost because the White House has lost the trust of the American people. Now, even when the lights are on, President Obama resides in a very dark place;”
Yes, Obama now resides in a very dark and SMELLY place. The name of the place starts with the letter “a”.
Dear MA voters. You folks made history. The country thanks you.
For the rest of us, hold on, this is just the beginning.
Hyphenated-American, any leader can put America in the right direction; Reagan had similar problems when he became POTUS after 4 years of the incompetent President Jimmy Carter. However, Obama is not a leader. He’s a cult of personality with a narcissism disorder. Making excuses for him is no reason to feel pity for Obama. He campaigned for POTUS & won. However, he refuses to lead. His Leftist policies are making everything bad to worse–just like Jimmy Carter. Obama is the problem–not the solution. Obama is a Jimmy Carter’s 2nd term.
Nice piece in capturing the mood after a monumental day in this nation.
It brought to mind how I felt driving into DC on Sept. 12th to join the March on Washington protest rally. I knew I would find kindred spirits but I didn’t know how many or how diverse. Of course, we knew the reports would under-estimate the throngs and I wasn’t surprised that we were described as racists and haters. But I also knew that I was seeing the Great Silent Majority that is the backbone of this country reasserting itself… and it happened again yesterday in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Congrats to all who have joined this movement!
[the tallest one repeated the protective mantra for those who work in nation’s capital: “We have nothing to say.” He turned away and briskly walked through Lafayette Park.]
Man, that little scene sounds like it came from a C.S. Lewis novel or from an Arkady Renko novel like Gorky Park.
But it is real, so it says a lot about these mini-Bob Haldemans. Sobering.

Quite true. As Churchill said following a major victory in Africa, “This is not the end. It is not the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
We have a long way to go before this is over.
Thank you Americans who reside in Massachusettes. We as a nation are grateful for all of you for remembering that the most important thing is, not which party you belong to, but how much you love your country. America is the greatest nation on earth for a reason. We will honor all of you by having the strength of character to vote with common sense. No more false idols and empty suits!
God works in mysterious ways.
@ 32. Poor Citizen; Scott Brown takes over the Senate
Not that difficult, considering their approval rating;
PC, I know the Congress _had_ power, but now, does
Seniority and Party ranking still matter ?
I suspect a Junior Senator from California, who had
just defeated Barbara Boxer, would come to Washington
with more power than the Zombie Dinosaurs retain.
Lets watch and see.
@ 57. silence do good: Tea Party win
Second the emotion; RNC Wake-Up call.
@ 64. V for victory: Scene from a movie
V for Vendetta; We do not want to live through that one.
A for Angel; The Final episode, when Wolfram & Hart let
all their remaining monsters out of their cages ?
We _really_ do not want to live through that one, and won’t;
Obama is POTUS, not Imperator Rex, and will eventually bow
to the will of the people; remember Nixon’s Resignation Speech:
“Having lost my support in congress…” ?
@44
Goy, may I share a favorite saying of my husbands? Don’t try and teach a pig to sing, it wastes your time and annoys the pig. Do you really want to waste your time trying to teach a troll to sing?
I they do not start moving back towards the center now, they are declaring war on the American people. Leftists are real experts when it comes to dirty tricks and not afraid to use them. The MSM will give them all of the cover they can. They have started their attacks on Fox news again, so this could get ugly and dangerous.
Thank God for MA voters! Great, great job! Can MSM hear us now? Can the corrupt leadership in Congress hear us now? The MA election showed how the behind closed doors, deaf ears to Republican leadership, and bribes is not what America wants! And I say “we” cause when 2010 elections come along, for in the 35 years of voting, I am taking off work, WITHOUT PAY, to get rid of the Michigan Democrats pompous asses out of office. It’s great to know I’m not alone.
BTW, I used to live in DC and well remember the day after the ’94 elections. On the Metro and the streets, everywhere you looked, people had expressions that reminded me of what a 5 year old would look if you told him there is no Santa. Except that I’d have compassion for the 5 year old. For the DCers – well, I had lived there long enough to know how isolated from reality and the rest of the country they were. It was rather sweet to see that reality had smacked them across the face like a big wet mackeral.
to No.s 44 and 68,
Your guy won in Massachussetts and I am happy for you. You guys could do with some good news, you had a couple of bad years. However, I stand by what I said. Brown is a Celeb right now but once he sworn in he is “the junior” senator from Ma. And as I pointed out, not many other people in the country (that know their politics) will even care about him. They have their own senators thank you very much. And the real bad news my dear students is that …(other than the supreme court)..if you look at the numbers.. his party is not exactly in the majority is it? So good luck on the t-bag hope and change anytime soon thing eh? So those are the facts you may want to ponder over the next ..couple of years (minumum). …. but let me say again, congratulations on this victory…
Poor citizen
while I appreciate your congrats on our victory last night, I dont think you are truly looking at the whole picture. Maybe no one will care about him because of their own senators, he made history with the whole country on the edge of their seats waiting for this to happen. We have to start somewhere…and this will be a domino effect for 2010. Please dont rain on our parade. wait at least a week!!!
@73. Poor Citizen: – …I stand by what I said.
This isn’t a surprise. Moral adolescents are typically tone-deaf when it comes to understanding the big picture. Standing by what you said is just your non-responsive admission that you didn’t read or understand what I wrote. You’re fixated on whether or not Brown turns the minority into a majority. That’s hardly the point. Brown’s election demonstrates that the game has changed. That’s a fact you may want to ponder over the next… 10 months.
rachel peepers @ 58. Superb post. You’ve said it all.
Poor citizen
” next ..couple of years (minumum)” …
Are you that dense? Few years? We have elections in about 10 months. Unless democrats really change their behavior, they will be toast. And judging from their current behavior (including yours) they just don’t get it. So, let me just say, bye-bye, good riddance, don’t let the door hit you.
PC, Browns vote carries the same weight as any other in the Senate, deal with it.
The leftists are going to lose big in November and the unhinged left, you know those who blame Obamas’ failure on not being radically left enough to get his/their un-Constitutional policies enacted against the wishes of the undeniable majority, are going to be crying like the socialist/communist rats eating onions that they are.
Hey all you “progressives” out there in delusion land, how does America’s “tea-bag” taste?
As salty as your tears?
Not that I enjoy raining on the parade, but one election does not a landslide make. If the 4th worlders keep taking their daily dose of hubris, then this election would be a forecast of the 2010 midterms. IF we have elections in 2010. People assume we will because we always have. Socialist take-overs, like those by Hitler, Chevez and Saddam, and others Don’t Happen in America. Or at least they haven’t yet. Or has it?
We won’t know until the elections are held. Getting elected first is a classic Socialist route to power. Get elected, declare an emergency, have the brownshirts disappear the ‘reactionaries’ and prest-o chang-o, We have Obama the first. This has happened before in other Countries. It can happen here in America. Just because it hasn’t happened before is not proof that it can’t happen.
I don’t think it will. I think the US Citizen will drag out his deer rifle and stand alongside his brother and sisters in the Police and Military. But what I think doesn’t matter. It is what Obama’s controllers think. They are not rational, so there is no way to figure out if they really think they can get away with it. One assumes they do. So far, they are.
76, riicpic
Thanks so much for your high praise. It is much appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
Rachel
For the first time, my vote actually made a difference!
Look out, Barney. Your next.
White house –quiet as a mouse. wonder why? Obama wasn’t so quiet when he went to that evil womans aid. What did he say about Browns Truck? Oh, i know, he said forget the truck. anybode can buy a truck. News to Obama, i wish that i had , 20 or 35 thousand to buy a new truck. Maybe i can get some OBAMA MONEY and buy one. Get over it libs, this is only the start.
On Big “O’s” anniversary We the People are celebrating the Patriots in MA and their “slap down” of this administration’s agenda.
This is the FIRST SHOT, with hundreds more to come in Nov., when We the People will do battle again.
The irony of Teddy’s “Health Care” seat going to Brown is simply delicious!
Perhaps the ultimate irony, as one caller pointed out on Hawie Carr’s radio show today, is that Ted Kennedy was responsible for MA changing its law in 2004 that the state had to hold a special election to replace a Senator. (It was changed when it was believed Kerry was going to beat Bush. Yeah, right…)
The real irony is, if Teddy had just left the law alone, Interim Senator Kirk would have held the Senate seat until the next regular election in 2012.
You gotta love irony.
Well, my Secret Service buddy found this ditty scribbled upon the wall of the Presidential bathroom just off the Oval Office.
“I contemplate in stinking wonder,
how the damn Tea baggers stole my thunder.”
Take it for what you will.
Well it’s great that the folks in Massachusetts have spoken what the rest of the country is feeling but don’t don’t don’t count Barry Obambi and his crew of slavishly drooling boot heel licking acolytes down and out. Not yet, not now, not ever. They may have lost a battle and a big one, no doubt, but the war goes on. They’re planning, revamping their strategy, fine tooth combing the Coakley campaign to see what and where went wrong to prevent it from occurring again and getting ready to double down. It’s far from over, the fight for health care reform, cap and tax, amnesty for illegals, and the rest of Barry’s socialist agenda. He’s already pulling out the “Bush did it” card and while most sane folk are going to chuckle at that lame attempt to blame George Bush for Coakley’s defeat the hard core lefties will never let it go. Go and party for a day, have some fun but the work of ridding our government of the attempt to remake our country into a socialist paradise must go on and be even more diligent and probing.
Tanstaafl,
I’ve thought the same thing. Where is that lying, smarmy, contemptible wretch Davey? Typical lefty. Loves to dish it out but folds like a cheap suit when any pushback comes.
This is just the beginning of the bitter cup for him. I can just picture the mental machinations he’s going through to convince himself that the Neanderthal redneck voters of–wait for it–MASSACHUSETTS are just cretins who don’t recognize a good thing when they see it. Right-ho, Davey boy. Let that console you for the loss of the “Kennedy seat” and the failure of your criminal healthcare bill.
Yoo-hoo, Daaavvveeyyy! Come out and playyyyyyyy!
Remember how the Kennedy’s got in. Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr, preferred
Ike to Taft, and some Republicans switched over to Kennedy. Well, except for those times a Republican was briefly Senator, it was a Kennedy sinecure.
So, let’s keep that in mind, before carrying on as if it was ordained that a Kennedy would be the Democratic Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until the end of time.
#67. Yes, indeed. He is far more subtle than the most clever Democrat.
28. Wow, skeeziks has totally lost it. He doesn’t even attempt to make sense anymore.
Did anyone else notice that, when asked about the vote in Massachusetts, His Majesty, the President replied that it was spurred by the same anger that put him in office. This interpretation could go down in gypsy history as the worst reading of tea leaves, ever.
