The Punk President and His ‘Gangster Government’ Go All In
On November 4, 2008, as it become obvious that Barack Hussein Obama would defeat John Sidney McCain and become the nation’s forty-fourth president, I told readers at my home blog to “Say hello to the Punk Presidency.”
That moniker came not from whim but from study. By Election Day in 2008, the question was no longer whether our new president was a punk. It was only whether he would only fit the word’s relatively benign definition as a “young, inexperienced person” or would be much worse than that, namely a “petty criminal or hoodlum” whose administration would abuse its awesome power and access to the treasures of the richest and greatest country on earth in ways previously unseen.
It wasn’t long before it became obvious that the country had selected the latter, after which a grievous and ongoing financial toll which continues began to accumulate. Anyone who knows anything about the history of Democratic Party politics and presidencies could have predicted that the paeans to fiscal responsibility Obama mouthed during the 2008 campaign would be thrown overboard as soon as the electoral vote count reached 270. But few expected to see so much brazen, politically driven profligacy so quickly.
Once in office, Obama started with an $800 billion stimulus package which turned out to be little more than temporary layoff prevention for certain public employees and the distribution of billions to “green” and “clean” energy firms which could never survive in the marketplace on their own. It was sold to the public largely as a recovery-motivated attempt to bring about “shovel-ready” jobs. We’re supposed to believe that Obama only later discovered, thanks largely to barriers imposed by government red tape and organized labor, that there really isn’t any such thing as a shovel-ready job. In hindsight, it’s reasonable to contend that Team Obama knew this from the start, and didn’t care. There were cronies and contributors who needed care and feeding.
Separate but of course related, the jobs of UAW members at General Motors and Chrysler had to be saved, without meaningful worker sacrifice, by hook or by crook. Well, actually the latter, considering that Chrysler’s post-bankruptcy ownership structure was built by separating certain secured lenders from their legally superior position as creditors in bankruptcy, while GM’s reorganization and re-emergence denied unsecured bondholders their rightful due. Beyond the Obama government’s tens of billions in direct bailouts, both companies will continue to enjoy billions in benefits, at taxpayers’ current and future expense, from their Treasury-granted permission to use loss carryforwards from their bankrupt predecessors, something which politically non-favored enterprises coming out of bankruptcy cannot do.
During the Chrysler hijacking, prescient commentator and political analyst Michael Barone wrote: “We have just seen an episode of Gangster Government. It is likely to be part of a continuing series.” That is exactly what has transpired. A very small sample: Due diligence-compromised Energy Department loans, including to Solyndra, a company which managed to move its principals (here we go again) into a position ahead of the American people in bankruptcy; the blatant bribes employed in ensuring ObamaCare’s passage; the utterly meritless and temporarily thwarted anti-fracking campaign by the EPA’s Al “crucify them” Armendariz against Range Resources (and the likely dozens of others in the EPA and at other regulatory bodies quietly attempting and possibly succeeding in similar takedowns which haven’t yet been stopped); condoning to the point of virtually sanctioning Black Panther voter intimidation at the polls in Pennsylvania, effectively giving the green light to anyone else who wishes to engage in similar activities this fall; and serial, often media-assisted intimidation of opponents, their donors, and out-of-favor executives.
This brings us to the president’s June 20 claim of executive privilege over documents in the deadly “Fast and Furious” debacle. As Landmark Legal Foundation head Mark Levin said in opening his radio show that evening:
We have a president of the United States who evades the Constitution every step of the way and then asserts it when he attempts to evade it.
… Eric Holder has no grounds to stand on whatsoever.
… This has all been staged; it’s all been planned. Drag out the process as long as possible. Don’t assert privilege early in the process. Just spit out a little document here and there … claim you’re cooperating …
… and within minutes (of Congressman Darrell Issa’s indication that he would pursue contempt charges) we get … an immediate assertion of executive privilege by the president …
… It didn’t happen at the eleventh hour. This has all been planned politically.
That is how a “gangster government” operates.
In 2007 and 2008, the establishment press not only failed to vet candidate Obama, it ridiculed and demonized those who tried, in the process concealing his already evident authoritarian lineage, background, and tendencies from the majority of the electorate. Those who still laughably claim to “speak truth to power” continue to instead mindlessly serve as Obama’s protective detail. At the Associated Press, aka the Administration’s Press, as of just before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the wire service’s story on the historic vote by the Issa-headed House committee to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt and Obama’s indefensible invocation of executive privilege was sixth from the top in its Politics stories list and fifth from the top in U.S. stories. Their predictable “We always tag Dear Leader’s opposition as the bad guys” headline: “GOP House Committee Holds AG Holder in Contempt.”
Now that our Punk President and his administration have irretrievably gone all in, the likelihood that America can survive four more years with him in charge as a place where the rule of law and the Constitution have any enduring meaning is very slim. Let’s not find out.
It was painfully obvious to anyone with even a modicum of intelligence and desire to go and look for it that Barry HUSSEIN Soetero Kardashian was not what and who the Lame Stream EneMedia and a corrupt Democratic Party were trying, and unfortunately very successfully succeeding in foisting on a naive gullible and stupid electorate.
What has happened in the interim is that, in spite of the best protection efforts of the Race Hustlers, the ‘in the tank’ Lame Stream EneMedia and Democratic apologists, that Presidents Barry’s inexperience, inefficiency,incompetence and radical Left Wing bias has been almost impossible to hide.
My fear is that the Lame Stream EneMedia who will never dare admit their bias and lack of vetting of this USURPER will continue to promote him and that a voting public which remains by and large naive, gullible and STUPID will fall for the same lies twice over.

President Obama was foisted upon us by the traditional media which, along with unions,operate (as Rush Limbaugh so accurately points out) as the Democrats super pac. Thank the Supreme Court for recognizing that if they get free speech, then so should other associated groups.
Obama, the Democrat party, unions, and the old media operate together to impose the religion they are taught at liberal universities , namely Marxist doctrine. And what does Obama want us to pass in Congress immediately? Yet another “jobs” package. I guess he didn’t get the memo that the first one didn’t work out to well. So now instead of calling it yet another “stimulus,” the Democrats are calling it a “jobs” package. It’s amazing how stupid these people think we are. What do you call it when a president wants to spend more money we don’t have on a program he knows will not succeed? You call him a politician from Chicago, because the only people who would benefit from this new “jobs” package would be a lot of union workers and nobody else. And that type of corruption makes me ill.
But I really think that if (God forbid) Obama is re-elected, we will have another situation just like Nixon. Obama and Holder (if he still has a job) will both face impeachment, espcially if the Republicans take over all of Congress in November. I really don’t know if the country could survive another Watergate scandal given the severe partisan divisions in Washington right now. At the very least, Obama would be impeached just like Clinton was, and that would be even worse. The last thing our government needs is a long drawn-out impeachment process on national TV again.

Another very informative slant on our sitting (golfing ?) president. I must admit to being smugly justified after some criticism I verbalized when Obama gave his political speech in Germany and the crowds went wild. I said then that he was a fake, and got roundly slapped down. Even called “racost.” Well, now we know. But there’s a fundamental problem here. Bear with me when I tell a story that I believe is important. I sent to a liberal friend whom I consider to be fairly intelligent an article from PJM about Obama and his failures. This was about a year ago. My friend is in her mid-50′s. She is in every way a good parent, has a work ethic I admire, and has raised three yougsters who vote the liberal ticket without failure, as does she.
We are not getting into their heads!! We’re preaching to the choir instead of the congregation. Their education teaches nothing of history, of past struggles to make the USA a great nation. i watched a Jay Leno “Jaywalking” bit and found it so sad I couldn’t laugh, which I believe was the point it tried to make. The masses voting for Obama aren’t listening, and if they do, cannot understand his intentions, his lies. Our job, I guess, must be to try to reach them on a level we’ve yet to discover. Someone out there must have an answer. God willing.
L. I have a similar experience with a friend I grew up with. We got into a debate where everything he was saying was unbeleivable, things like the tea party are all government workers,he feels Obama is too conservative etc. I left feeling I lost a friend, nothing I said would even be considered. You are exactly right on having to reach them but it will be an uphill climb at best. My prayer is that there is still a silent majority out there not giving information, just waiting to cast their vote. I also can’t believe that everyone in the Democrat party is going to be a robot once they are behind the curtain to cast their vote…. hope so anyway…..
I live in a blue state and have had the same experience, and have felt the same way about the fraud. The spin is effective with the sycophants. I’m surprised that O’s administration has been so openly thuggish because right from the start it has been the engine of a slow motion coup against this country. It never had a chance of pulling off a violent one–the US military, sworn to uphold the Constitution, would never allow it. But recall that at the beginning of his administration the Bamster mused in public about creating a civilian police force “every bit as powerful as the US military.” We laughed then, amused at his apparent ignorance or over the possibility that the job had already gone to his head, but his open mike conversation with Medvedev brings this tidbit into better focus.
It’s all part and parcel of O’s attitude toward this country; one that goes way beyond gutter mendacity–it’s so disturbing it even alarmed Bill Clinton. We’ve never had a presidential spectacle such as this before: a ruinous cretin who is also quite possibly a hater-to-the-point-of-traitor of this country.

When did they start targeting him as their golden boy? His past needs to be opened up so we can see the truth of what he is and has been doing. It will be an eye opener for sure. What role has Soros played in this? Who else has groomed him for this position? It has to be someone with money and power to make his paper trail vanish. His birth certificates have been proven beyond any doubt to be frauds. So, lets hope that once he is gone a full investigation will happen to find out just who was attacking the U.S. with Opunk and why.
Have you seen the picture of the gays he allowed into the white house, for gay pride celebration, that stuck their middle finger at the portrait of Pres Ronald Reagan? People underestimate the influence that apoplectic gays have on the “progressive” movement.
It’s very hard for ordinary people to whip up a volcanic level of hatred against political figures…people who they have never met, who are generally knowledgable and articulate.
That’s why they often turn to angry and brain-dead minorities like the cartoons Reverend Al and Louis Farrakam for the “intellectual” energy they need to whip up the masses.

After all, what would a self respecting progressive be without objects to hate around the clock, and some of them are even smart enough to realize that rich people make the world go round…so they need more vulnerable objects on which to vent their spleens.

Thank you, Mr. Blumer. The best, the most succinct indictment of this corrupt administration I’ve seen. I am still appalled that someone like this reached the Oval Office. The only good thing to come out of the whole affair is that (maybe) never again will the electorate take a flyer on an unknown.

He’s got his shock troops. You see them now in Oakland,Ca. {child slavery conference} and other minor venues. The Black Bloc and their more expansive parents OWS are *The Chosen*. To me it is almost calming that they {The Useful Idiots} are out and in America’s face at this moment.
We know who they are and their current tactics. From SWATting to smashing-up neighborhoods/businesses, from General Mayhem to Molotov cocktails thrown,we got Their Numbers.
Plan for the worst folks. But ‘aim’ at the loudest, biggest ones. The rest will scatter. It is the way of the coward to shrink/fade away in the face of a determined opposition**. So be One Of Those**.
As the last 3.5 years have progressed, students of history knew ‘this time’ would come. We do not welcome it but do not shrink from it.

We have one of the best economies in the world here in Canada but 4 more years of this guy in America and there’s no way we can stay financilly strong.

With many jobs waiting to be created in America and Canada by using our oil.
I know most of the folks here get that but saying no to that no-brainer blew my mind.
Which obviously tells us that wrecking our economies is being done pruposely.
Here in Ontario we have a guy in charge of our province who is Obama north…he’s exactly the same…Let’s expand government as they are always the answer ehhh….
