The United States of America is now something alarmingly close to what we might describe as the rogue regime of Obamerica. The “end,” in the acceptation of “purpose,” of this strange new nation appears to be the reversal or erasure of its Republican heritage and its replacement by what Barry Rubin calls a stealth-leftist anti-American substitute. The projected “end” of Obamerica would seem to be nothing less than the material end of America as we have known it throughout its storied history. Its free-market economy is currently in tatters, its competitive edge and productivity blunted by a meretricious “stimulus” and by redistributionist economics, its Triple A credit rating downgraded amid concerns about the government’s budget deficit and rising debt burden, and its unemployment numbers beyond acceptable. Racial and ethnic divisions have been exacerbated by the president’s incendiary rhetoric. Owing to Obama’s policies, America’s network of reliable alliances is in disarray as the program of appeasement and rapprochement with its adversaries grows ever more emphatic. At the same time the power and authority of the erstwhile “leader of the free world” has started demonstrably to wane. And if Obama has his way and is re-elected, he will enjoy, as he confided to former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, even more “flexibility” to pursue his ends.
The looming choice for the U.S. on November 6 of this year is stark and unforgiving. The re-election of Barack Obama will mean the “end,” in its terminal sense, of the America of yore, of the constitutional republic on which the West has grudgingly depended for its defense and prosperity and whose citizens were once the envy of an ungrateful world. An unprecedented experiment in free market economics and individual liberty will have fallen victim to an unscrupulous agenda that intends its demise. Only the end of Obamerica can prevent the nation’s decline. History is about to be made — or unmade. A victory for Obamerica can come only at the expense of America itself, and a heretofore undefeated nation will go down to the first and greatest — and quite possibly lasting — defeat in the chronicle of its tenure.
This is what is at stake and what American voters will soon determine. Will it be Obamerica or will it be America? May they choose wisely.

* Jay “Baghdad Bob” Carney saying the Middle East violence is due to a film, and has nothing to do with America or Obama’s policies (as the mobs scream, “death to America!”)
* Obama Administrations attacks on/apologies for FREE SPEECH,
* the violent, failed fruits of Obama’s “Bow and Surrender” Middle East policy,
* the Jobs Report, which showed unemployment going from 8.3% to 8.1% ONLY because 368,000 Americans left the workforce,

I now live in Massachusetts. Whether I vote for Romney or not, Obama is virtually assured of winning MA and all its electoral votes. There’s no point in even campaigning for Romney in MA, it’s a lost cause. (2008: Obama 62%, McCain 36%)
I’m sure Democrats in Idaho or Utah feel exactly the same way. Our Electoral College system has disenfranchised many American voters. The only ones who really matter anymore are those who live in swing states.
But if you live in the great Midwest, you will be disenfranchised even more. The East and West Coasts will be selecting Obama clones (clowns).

At this point in time we must be supporting R/R 100%, after they win we can do our usual thing and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
I think what we’re not seeing is being guided by two complimentary factors:
- the bogus polls tell Romney that he must be more like Obama to win and his “divisive” campaign is driving away independents. That is false, if he’s identical to Obama then the “nice” guy, Obama, will win. Plus, the tie goes to the incumbent.
- the Establishment GOP doesn’t really mind if Obama wins because that will mean massive government spending that the GOP will control, it’ll be 2001-2006 all over again. Even the “draconian” Ryan Budget isn’t about cutting massive government, it’s about how to pay for massive government.
The Democrats don’t want Romney to be bold because he’d win, the Establishment Republicans don’t want Romney to be bold because he’d win and they’d have to implement his agenda… and if he wins in a landslide with a mandate to reduce government then the spending party is over. It’s also not clear to me that Romney actually wants to cut the size and scope of the Federal Government, like the Ryan Budget he may just be looking for a better funding mechanism for the country-destroying spending addiction.
You and I would love to see some read meat from the Romney campaign, but campaign dollars spent on us is money not spent wisely. We’re already going to vote for home. (In sales, it’s called ‘talking past the sale’) Similarly, there are those on the left who will vote for Obama no matter what. Campaign dollars spent on them is wasted too.
At this point, the campaign should be (and I believe it is) focused on the few who are persuadable, and via messages that resonate with them, not us.
You (and many others) continue to beat the drum that “the base” will vote for Romney due to the “Anybody But Obama” (ABO) factor. While I am one of those ABO conservatives (and I’m sure some will call me a wimp for that), I see many who are digging in their heels and saying they would rather fight than compromise. How many are truly ready to “hide in the hills and fight a shooting war”? I don’t know, but I believe there are enough that Romney must make a few concessions and show some outrage over the injustices being perpetrated on the America those people believe in. I’m afraid that the base CAN be lost through “middle-of-the-road-ism”!

The polls cannot be believed.
They are tweaked as much as the “mainstream” news is tweaked. Think about it. The way the news operates and bends the picture, not only in favor of the first black president but also by ignoring things like how Hitlery avoided acknowledgement of the coming attack on US consulates.
The polls intentionally oversample blacks, socialists and left-wing crustaceans in order to make it appear that the conservatives will lose. The reality is that conservatism is alive and well in the U.S. by a very healthy margin and has had it up to its eyeballs with socialism. The pollsters and news-bringers are paralyzed with fear over the potential loss of their hippie-based society which has sucked since its inception.
It doesn’t matter whether the polls can be believed, whether they honestly sample the participants and/or judge correctly from the data collected.
People reading or being told what the polls say do not know and do not care about the details of process. They pay attention to the published and ballyhooed results. So politicians pay attention to them.
Pollsters are with legacy/establishment media the kingmakers. So the men who would be king do the pollsters and media direct them. Power is the name of the game for the pollsters, the media who report the polls and the pols who are the subject. Nothing else,

Since the Dems have driven every single moderate out of the party, that means control by the hardcore left.
Meaning, Obama would have two years of a Congress that would rubber-stamp every dream in his delusional little mind.
The question then would be, not who runs for President as the Democrats’ standard bearer in 2016. It would be, will there be enough of this country left to actually have an election?
Always keep firmly in mind that Obama does not “love America”. Rather, he is in love with the Great Vision of what he can build upon its ruins.

Obama, Hitlery, Reid, Frank, Holder, were the people who sat next to you who forgot their pencil in math class….every—single—day. Yet somehow they managed to get by. Whether it was because the teacher never expected anything from them and let them pass, or because the teacher thought that somehow they were otherwise endowed with “other skills” but never saw them as being harmful and let them move on.
These are people who failed at the basics but who were also allowed to continue to move into the next tier. The ones letting them do-so are just as much to blame as the ones doing so. It’s like building a model plane where you don’t like reading the directions, so you end up putting the engine parts where the wings should go because it’s easier. You end up with a poorly-built model but the parents are so thrilled that you did ANYTHING at all, that the praise the end-product as if it’s a worthwhile achievement. Maybe for the kid who did it, it is. But for the rest of society, looking upon it is a disgrace; A failure; Needs to be done again but this time with attention to detail.
The people this rendition of our government are not concerned with details. Only the final product. And when the final product is a failure, the details are of no concern, except where they are to blame if they can be found wanting. (Bush’s fault, or, most recently, Romney “shot first, aimed second”)

What Mr. Solway forgets is that tens of millions of Americans either support these policies, knowingly, or they are indifferent to losing their liberty as long as they get “free stuff.”
As to foreign policy, the foreign policy bureaucracy here in DC strongly supports Obama’s vision of America’s place in the world. Has there been leaks and stiff resistance on the part of State Dept. staff as they did against Bush? Of course not.
Further still, the entire Federal bureaucracy is overwhelmingly for the Big Govt agenda. Even if you get a Jefferson constitutionalist in the WH, the bureaucracy will employ all of their formidable powers, including the sympathetic ear of the MSM, to sabotage reform. They were quite effective in the Bush years.
At this point our Government is so corrupt, I no longer believe it is salvageable. It has to be allowed to collapse and then we have a chance to re-build it. And we can’t look to the Supreme Court to come to our aid – half of them don’t believe in the Constitution themselves.
If my neighbors in heavily Democratic controlled Pikesville, maryland are any indication of voter mood…Obama may well be swept from office in a Cartereque landslide loss…I can only hope for a change, now.

This is what I find most disgusting during the last few days. Not only was the murder of our ambassador and three others bad enough, but I’m sick and tired of the Obama administration blaming all of this on a stupid video. The video in question has literally been on YouTube for months, yet all of this started happening on the anniversary of 9/11. Just a coincidence? This was a planned attack on Americans throughout the Middle East and it shows the utter collapse of Obama’s foreign policy in that part of the world. Always remember that the Egyptian Army troops could have stopped the attack on the American embassy any time they wanted to. Yet the only time ANYBODY showed up to rescue the Americans in Cairo was well AFTER the mob attacked the embassy. It’s a miracle that nobody was killed in the assault. But this DOES show a collusion between the government, which is now run by the Muslim Brotherhood, and the mob.
Obama’s policy of appeasement and apology has been a stunning failure. And with regards to Iran, it has been a disaster. Iran is about to get a nuclear weapon and Obama isn’t punishing Iran, he’s punishing Israel because it wants to defend itself from a wild pack of Islamic fanatics! I never thought I’d live to see the day when an American president, an AMERICAN president, sided with a bunch of homicidal Islamists. There is A LOT on the line this November. Obama MUST lose. If we are not going to get chased out of the Middle East and see Israel utterly destroyed, Obama MUST lose in November.

1. independents-cnn gave him a 52-44 outcome 2008(29% of the electorate), currently he is losing it by 13-15 points.
2. seniors-obama lost by 8pts in 08, and while several polls indciate that obama has held his own, there is a large reason he didn’t mention obamacare at his convention. every time a surrogate mentions that ryan wants to cut medicare, they are forced to explain why the president didn’t cut medicare, when he actually did.
3. catholics-obama won them by 9pts in 2008(19% of the electorate). current gallup numbers provide it as even, with some back and forth.
the silver bullet is the first demo group…
if obama goes from an 8 pts lead among 29% of independents, to a 15 point loss, he loses 2.3%(nominal) of his support, and romney gains 4.4%(nominal).
all other things being equal, using the 2008 turnout model with current independent support, obama’s +7.3% win from 08, goes to +.5%.
as a small addendum…cnn exit polls in 2004 gave kerry a 1 pt advantage among independents, and bush still won by 3 pts.
cnn has a poll with a 52-46 outcome, BUT they have romney up by 14 pts among independents.
by these numbers alone, using 08 turnout models, the results should have been tied. instead cnn found that despite the 22 pt shift of 29% of the 08 electorate would produce the same outcome as 08.

I wish to address the blindness of the liberal. I don’t know how many pro-Obama liberals I’ve run into that refuse to discuss the current political/economic/world situation. They flat refuse to listen to what you have to say. How can you debate with a person who will not listen? You can’t. Yet this is the tactic most used by them. They know that they are right and nothing you can say or do will change their minds. Well, I think it must be easy to give up somebody else’s rights. That’s what liberals do. They give up somebody else’s rights, not their own. Here is a short list: the right to own a gun, the right to qualify voters, the right to have a say in how public money is spent, the right to chose your own school lunch,the right to chose your own school, the right to use plastic bags, wear animal skins, the right to own a gas guzzler, the right to fire an employee, the right to have a Christmas display on public property, the right to believe in G-d, the right to say that a 3rd trimester abortion should not happen, the right to discipline your own child, the right of smoking, the right to park in front of your own home (believe me this is real), the right of free speech (unless its something they want to hear), the right to criticize public officials, the right to choose and keep the medical care you’ve worked for, the right to believe that the dollar you’ve worked for and earned will be worth something tomorrow, the right to defend yourself, the right to keep the money you’ve earn and not have it taxed away, the right to say “no” to government, the right to limit government,……………….. It goes on and on. As I sit here and type this up, I’m almost crying. America which saved me, America which gave me a home, America which gave me a chance at an improved life, America which let me claw my way up is disappearing. There seems to be nothing that I can do about it.
Keep remembering that Obama was elected by only 30% of registered voters. There was a 58% turnout and of the people who actually voted, 52% voted for Obama. Multiply 0.58 and 0.52 and you get 0.30. Just 30% of registered voters saddled us with Obama. Forget about the polls and just vote. He has not gained followers.
I really don’t think the Amerrican voter can be relied upon for intelligent votes. On election day many of them will ber in their vehicles, rushing to have fun somewhere. They will br listening to what is called music and will be paying no attention to “news”. Even some who vote will have absolutely no understanding or knowlege of geography or history. I don’t know how the polls mentioned in preceeding posts reflect this. So much depends on the phrasing of the poll questions.

If its true, as has been quietly reported, that Ambassador Stevens was Gay. That would explain why the fact that he had been recently sodomized is not getting more attention.
