Benjamin Button was very Fincher-esque... almost as good as his other stuff if not for some nagging plot holes

Wow, what a bunch o' sour grapes!

Good film - yes, would have benefitted from editing. But, "grow old alolng with me, the best is yet to be." Or vice versa. C'mon, be a sport and suspend a little reality and just enjoy the beauty of the stars and the tug of emotions.

lets see, a guy born about 80 and spends his life going backwards? Gee whiz, that sounds original.

O wait, its Mork from Ork!!!!! Except a young Robin Williams has talent to spare over Mr. Jolie.

This film was AWFUL!!!!! 2:45 minutes of the depresing version of Forrest Gump. Sure the acting was great and the concept was original...

But at the end of the day, someone would have to point a gun to my head to make me sit through this film again.

Its another example of how Hollywood has forgot how to EDIT a movide down to 2 hours or less. Some movies the story line to go over 2 hours. This one just draaaagggggggged onnnnnn.

Sort of like this post. But Im going for an Oscar here folks!!!

If you can manage to stomach the huge dose of PC tripe this movie force feeds you, especially in the first half hour or so, there are good things to be said for it, especially in the technical department.

Blacks are noble, by definition. Whites are to be crapped on, especially so the older and weaker they are. Don't believe me? See it for yourself, then decide. In the WW II scenes patriotic soldiering America is represented by that oh so typical American soldier in WW II, an American Indian. In New Orleans in the 1920's, a black pigmy! I kid you not, is stared at by white kids on a tram, oh the effrontery, and proceeds to frighten them deliberately. Reaction from the other whites in the tram? Meek acceptance. Pitt's "mother" is a black woman who runs a white nursing home (in New Orleans in the 1920's!) demonstrating only shortness and curtness in her dealings with the helpless old whites in her charge, but miraculously loving Pitt, who is a wrinkled old white baby when she finds him, abandoned on the steps of the nursing home. Of course, the actress playing his "mother" melodramatically but never convincingly loves him.

These are just a sampling of the inversions of reality you must agree with or ignore if you are to get any enjoyment out of the film. We live in a marxist reality. This film, and just about every other film coming out of the hollywood sausage factory demonstrate it beyond the shadow of a doubt. Those who have been brainwashed can enjoy. The rest of us? Shut up. Or risk forced reeducation.

I just saw this movie and it's very good. Benjamin lives his live from end to beginning but he lives each day from beginning to end, same as the rest of us. He's different but he learns about life from the beginning to the end, also just like the rest of us. He was lucky to find relationships that lasted throughout his life, his adopted mother Queenie who loved him beyond reason, and his love Daisy, who loved him for himself. The ending is sad and made me reflect on the innate unfairnesses of life. His end is of course meant to reflect on everyone's end.

I liked the exterior views of Nowlins. I've only visited there once but it is a place with a rich texture and history. It has a European feel. The Nowlins accent gives Pitt and his character a depth that I appreciated a lot.

Saw it just last night without much prior info and liked it a bunch. Blanchett and Henson were the stars. Brad did fine too. Swinson is amazing again. Major kudos to the makeup and tech efforts that didn't distract from the story. We don't find alot of good yarns at the movies very often these days. A Christmas present amongst slim pickings.

Sounds like a great concept but it would be terrible to be the only one who's life went in reverse. All of your friends would age as you became younger, and you would have nothing in common with anyone.
