The Coveted Russian Dictator Endorsement: Putin Picks Obama
If you know what’s good for you, America, you will reelect President Barack Obama — says the proud KGB spy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
In his first major interview since returning to power for a third term, Putin chose to speak to Russia Today, the Kremlin’s answer to Voice of America. Responding to a question about the problem of U.S. missile defense in Eastern Europe, Putin had this to say about his American counterpart:
Is it possible to find a solution to the problem, if current president Obama is re-elected for a second term? Theoretically, yes. But this isn’t just about president Obama. For all I know, his desire to work out a solution is quite sincere. I met him recently on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Los Cabos, Mexico where we had a chance to talk. And though we talked mostly about Syria, I could still take stock of my counterpart. My feeling is that he is a very honest man and that he sincerely wants to make many good changes. But can he do it, will they let him do it?
The “they” he was referring to are, of course, conservative Republicans.
Regarding Mitt Romney, Putin was brutally frank. He called him “obviously wrong” and declared that “such behavior on the international arena is the same as using nationalism and segregation as tools of U.S. domestic policy.” In other words, Romney is frightening, a Nazi. Obama, by contrast, is an honest and sincere statesman.
However, Putin’s delight with Obama is hard to understand in light of his subsequent comment, apparently directed at Obama: “Some people want to use militants from al-Qaeda or some other organizations with equally radical views to accomplish their goals in Syria.” He called this policy “dangerous and very short-sighted.” He said that Americans were likewise short-sighted when they gave support to the rebels in Afghanistan against the forces of the USSR, thus creating al-Qaeda only to see it turn against them.
Presumably, however, this behavior is still not as objectionable to Putin as a Mitt Romney presidency.
In Romney’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, he stated:
President Obama has thrown allies like Israel under the bus, even as he has relaxed sanctions on Castro’s Cuba. He abandoned our friends in Poland by walking away from our missile defense commitments, but is eager to give Russia’s President Putin the flexibility he desires, after the election. Under my administration, our friends will see more loyalty, and Mr. Putin will see a little less flexibility and more backbone. We will honor America’s democratic ideals because a free world is a more peaceful world. This is the bipartisan foreign policy legacy of Truman and Reagan. And under my presidency we will return to it once again.
In regard to “flexibility,” Romney was referring to Obama’s “hot mic” moment: whispering to then-president Dmitri Medvedev, Obama asked him to tell Putin that after reelection he would have more leeway to submit to his desires.
So: Romney wants to return to the era of Reagan, when Putin’s beloved USSR was obliterated. It’s hardly surprising that Putin is delighted with Obama and wants to see him returned to power.
If Putin’s preferences are not enough to raise concern regarding a second Obama term — a repressive dictator preferring Obama — then consider this: in the interview, Putin also appears to be deranged.
When asked about the prosecution of the Pussy Riot performance artists, Putin made one of the most extraordinary declarations by a world leader in human history. He trashed Pussy Riot as homophobes, xenophobes, and anti-Semites, and then as pornographers who engage in public orgies. Then he stated:
You know some fans of group sex say it’s better than one-on-one because, like in any teamwork, you don’t need to hit the ball all the time.
Putin also rallied to the defense of international outlaw Julian Assange, a Russia Today employee, calling his trial “politically motivated” and an “evident double standard.” So shut up about the fact that Putin has railroaded his two leading political rivals into prison.
Putin knew his remarks were to be broadcast to the Western world, yet he chose to speak like a street hooligan. The reason for this is simple: Putin knows he now has unchecked power for life. Indeed, he just changed the rules so that he can serve until the age of 70, giving rise to what the Moscow Times called “Brezhnev-style gerontocracy.” Just like Brezhnev, Putin can do whatever he wants, and he’s enjoying the privilege.
And it’s all thanks to Obama, who obligingly helped Putin maintain the Potemkin “presidency” of Medvedev long enough for Putin to consolidate his return to power. So now, of course, Putin would like nothing more than to return the favor.

It seems Hillary Clinton has offered Putin her warm thanks for his endorsement.

It is stunning to me just how very many people seemed to know in the late 80s that the USSR and Eastern Europe would fail. And said so eerily enough. Putin sees in Obama someone involved in coming up with that post-Cold War means of stealthily changing the noetic system of the West. That was the purpose of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. To create that template for schools in the West. And Obama mentioned it again in his acceptance speech Thursday night “for the first time in a generation.” http://www.invisibleserfscollar.com/didnt-the-president-just-admit-ccssi-was-a-ruse-to-change-classroom-interactions/ is the story I wrote originally based on his Nevada remarks. This though was no idle remark. And it also explains why in 1998 Bill Ayers most wanted to be recognized for being a co-founder of the CAC. His life’s work embodied in that initiative. A cultural bomb instead.
I think it was historian Robert Conquest who always saw UNESCO’s work as pushing the Soviet game plan against the West. Jean Francois Revel believed that too. Virtually everything going on in education worldwide right now centers around limiting knowledge and altering the values, attitudes, and beliefs of students. So the Alberta Wheel of Competency shows up in Oz, the US, and Scotland as well. All influenced by UNESCO via what is called Quality Assurance and Accountability which is also behind the radical reform of higher ed. Only time in my life I was kicked off a server in the middle of reading documents was nailing down the UNESCO higher ed story.
No way does Putin not know all this. It is average Westerners who do not. President Obama helped create the Future Earth Alliance with UNESCO and IGBP set up in Sweden in 1987. It is Romney who has no interest, we all hope, in such global shenanigans.
We have 2 months to escape from maneuverings that are not on most people’s radar screens.

Jared Laughner is a product of the ‘small schools initiative’
the year after Laughner was out of his school, the school received 2 million dollars..
yes, it’s true
putin can’t stand the sight of our commie kenyan. however, they are all on the same team, and hitlery is out there blocking and giving out bonuses.
as far a julian assange being an international criminal? as far as i know he has never been tried and convicted of anything. he is wanted for questioning by the feminazis for not calling back the next day. if he had not released documents the kenyan wanted kept hidden none of these trumped up charges would have ever occurred. you won’t see me taking the side of lefties often, but this one simply is the victim of a witch hunt. btw, if/when it is found that these two women making these shaky latent claims were not being truthful, what will happen to them? years/decades in prison as would happen to the man if covicted? no, nothing, as usual. yeah, free puzzy pass – again. i would run too if i were him, as long as the kenyan is still in power.
isn’t it about time for another nobel prize for obiwon? i was sure he was going to get an olympic medal or two.
One cannot blame Putin for choosing Obama or for that Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, etc for doing the same. Everyone knows that Obama and his supporters will never never never take the side of the USA in any dispute.
“Obama, by contrast, is an honest and sincere statesman.”
One has to wonder why Putin likes Obama so much? Is it because Putin can roll over him in a heartbeat, knowing that Obama is basically an isolationist and uninterested in foreign policy? Obama has always treated foreign policy as a “distraction,” preferring to spend all of his time and our money on social welfare programs. If you’re going to transform America into France, who really cares what happens in Syria?
Obama doesn’t think America should be a superpower, doesn’t think America is a superpower, and, worse, doesn’t see any problems with America giving up its superpower status and letting other countries step in to fill the void. Trouble is, when you do that, countries like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are the types of countries anxiously trying to fill that void. If Obama wins this November, the world will get a taste of what it’s like to have to deal with Russia or China or Iran when it comes to regional security. Once that happens, the rest of the world will long for the days when America was the only superpower. But by then it will be too late.
“One has to wonder why Putin likes Obama so much?”
Why? Because Putin knows in a nuclear showdown Obama would never fire 1st…or, for that matter, fire back. Simple as that.
“Obama, by contrast, is an honest and sincere statesman.”

Yes, that is exactly why. Putin could only have real respect for a strong leader of his country’s rival nation, but of course would never want such a many worthy of such respect to actually be that leader. He is, therefore, very pleased with the satus quo, and hopes for no change (so to speak).

Putin endorses Obama while Lech Walesa warmly endorses Romney. Interesting.
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!!!!!! Putin wants some of Obamao’s promised flexibility. I’m sorry to say, but I trust Putin far more than I do Obamao. At least with Putin you KNOW what you’re getting.
Adina, the fight against both-Obama and Putin is so ineffective because of its concentration on the personalities.Putin is the small but the sharp spear-head of the militarized and successful part of the Soviet-Russian empire of the constrained.Obama is the symbol of the backward World of the East and the West`s revenge after the capitalism`s great victory. But it`s much more easy to beat these offensive figures.
No kidding. If you wanted a weekling you could knock over with one hand tied behind you, you prefer Obama too.
Maybe Putin say he want wolf smile to fire up the tea party so they gain more lust for power and split up USA into 10 sections just like Soviet Union after fall of Berlin wall?
Count China in too
Next will be Cuba
If the American people reelect this guy again we will continue to loose our rights as the citizens of these countries have
Anyone noticed the President does not appearances in front of the US Flag anymore ?
Count Scot Brown with Obama
Yikes!

Kim! You are so affraid of my objections that your are pooling them further and further back. That`s rediculouse.Let`s eliminate them at all!
Romney: “We will honor America’s democratic ideals because a free world is a more peaceful world.”
Oh I don’t know about that – wasn’t Eastern Europe relatively peaceful during the USSR’s occupation after WWII? Give Zero a break – he’s just trying to help Putin rebuild paradise lost…
John Kerry spent a lot of hot air in his DNC speech about how Mr. Obama had “restored” America’s prestige in the world. Well, nothing says “prestige” like the warm embrace of a thggish anti-American “strongman.”
In a way I sort of see how the two get along so well. Obama would like to be America’s Putin – Wielding power (whether in office or not) through his personal political apparatus and vaunted media-fueld “charisma.” It’s a repellant concept to true (small “d”) democrats but one which seems to mesmerize an incresing percentage of the (large “D”) Democratic Party.
Obama via Medvedev has pledged fealty to Vlad the Prince.
Putin seems to have an ego that rivals obama.
I wonder if it bothers him that to have a rival who, unlike Mr. Putin, has never actually accomplished anything.
I suspect Vlad knows America is screwed either way.
you know some thing is not ok with the president when the enemy supports his reelection, remember when obama said “call me after I get reelected, I’ll have a lot more flexibity” another reson to kick obama out of office as soon as possible.
Come on, people. Let’s be open minded about this stuff. You want to deny Barack a second term just because he’s been endorsed by Chavez, Castro, Putin, Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Un and Hu Jintao? Is that nice? Is that any way to be? Didn’t your mother teach you any better???
I understand why Putin would want Obama to win; I can’t figure out why Putin would endorse Obama, as doing so seems counterproductive.
And with Putins ringing endorsement Americans should run to the polls to vote for “anyone but Barak Obama”. Remember the enemy of my enemy is my friend and Mr Romney has already put Putin (the man who would be The Emperor)on notice. I guess it’s time for us to elect another “cowboy”.
The solution is near at hand. Obama can be beaten easily if there is a good turnout of voters. Keep remembering that Obama was elected by only 30% of registered voters. There was a 58% turnout and of the people who actually voted, 52% voted for Obama. Multiply 0.58 and 0.52 and you get 0.30. Just 30% of registered voters saddled us with Obama. Forget about the polls and just vote. He has not gained followers.
The article is tailored for a conservative taste and is not quite honest.
V. Putin talked about his readiness to deal with the USA, whoever is elected the President. He did not endorse Obama and did not call Romni a Nazi. He just responded to Romney tough rethoric towards Russia.

More reruns of the “Zigfeld Follies” that have nothing to do with objective commentary concerning today’s Russia.
Quoting: “If you know what’s good for you, America, you will reelect President Barack Obama — says the proud KGB spy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.” First, I want to ask if the author actually quoted Putin, or paraphrased him or…? Second, I’ll assume she’s obviously not aware of the character of the opposition against Putin, which includes Left groups. Third, no leader in recent Russia/USSR history was as worse as the tsarist-feudal-like Josef Stalin. He was mainly concerned with the “Great Stalin,” a “god” who was cruel and incompetant. Fourth, I hope this isn’t some childish conspiracy theory, i.e., Obama and Putin are in a secret relationship to “destroy” the world. But I’ve heard more far-fetched claims. Some have pulled an Akin.
It concerns me that BO also said: “This is my last election.” In view of the fact that he got the NDAA passed (giving him power to detain American Citizens indefinitely without charges) makes me wonder if he will indeed be the last American president since he could in a 2nd term, then “detain” those who opposed him. Who will be left to vote? He tramples on our constitutional rights and signs away our liberties by presidential fiat on a DAILY basis. Think about it…….
In no small measure, it has long been obvious that the Radical-in-Chief hearts with Reds and Greens (Muslims) alike. In fact, this is precisely why my blog focuses-to a good degree-on the Red/Green alliance. It is also a fact, the POTUS was breast fed on Communist propaganda, having proven himself a LOYAL student.
And Kim has brought to the fore much of Putin’s mischief making throughout her writings. Thanks for that.
