With both David Corn and Richard Miniter on vacation, this week it’s New York Sun‘s Eli Lake and The New Republic‘s Michelle Cottle who sit down and discuss the uproar from the netroots after Hillary Clinton’s somewhat positive comments on the Surge. 1. This is the real question to ask The New Republic’s Michelle Cottle: how will the Democrats hide the fact that hard core adherents like David Bell and John Judis believe the war on terror is greatly exaggerated? Her own boss Marty Peretz and Senator Joe Lieberman are increasingly becoming marginalized figures. How can this harsh reality be hidden from the American voters?

The Democratic Party is now comprised largely of self-hating Americans who believe their own country is perhaps the greatest threat to peace on this planet. Can the truth be hidden until after election day 2008?

I like these two much better than Corn and Minter. Can we have TWO shows, please?
