Fred Thompson’s official big toe in the water leads David Corn and Richard Miniter to talk in this week’s show about the iCandidate. How likely he is to announce soon and what will happen once he gets on the campaign stump. They also discuss John McCain, the immigration reform bill and how it’s opening a split among Republicans. Other topics: Giuliani going on the offensive against Hillary, while she gets an important endorsement by LA mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. That’s some support from the Hispanic community that Bill Richardson, a Hispanic himself, doesn’t seem to be getting.

    Excellent as always, guys.

As I have said before — the thing I most like is the atmospherics of this show.

Although it is clear that you have vastly different ‘value structures’, neither of you ever attempt to demean or insult the other.

    Disagreement with disagreeableness.

Lots of fun to listen anyway. It looks like fun for you as well. That’s the way it should be.

Thanks for a great show each week.
