Saudis have been supporting Hamas for years. According to the US state department:

Saudis have recently increased their support for Hamas(via the Tribune):

Palestinian sources said the division pits supporters of Iran against those of Saudi Arabia. The sources said after a decline of more than five years, Saudi supporters were making a comeback in Hamas.

Saudi charities have also been supporting Hamas in Jerusalem:
