whoops, I hit some key I hadn't intended...

In fact, I would argue MOST Americans fully realised the risks, nonetheless "hoped" Obama would be the lesser (risk) of 2 poor choices.

We was had...by both dems and repubs.

"Early signs of radicalism in the president's character should have been heeded"

Ah Matt, excuse me, but a lot of us did indeed heed the warning signs. In fact, more people voted AGAINST The Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers than voted FOR Kerry in '04.

"He is a man whose normal thought process is brooding anger embedded in deep hatred for the many injustices to his (the black race) people committed by America, whites and Jews."

"From early childhood on Obama was taught to choose a woman that hates in the same ways he does as his wife and to associate with people like Bill Ayers and Reverend Jeremy Wright. He is a product of his environment that can no more change what he understands is normal to him than you or I can do the same for however we were taught by our parents (whomever / whatever) as we grew up."

Carl, you are a very strange man. Take a really good look at your two quotes and ask yourself some questions.
Obama is a biracial man with a white mother and absentee deadbeat African father of whom he was never acquainted. Where would his anger lie? His father was a Kenyan. People from West and central africa were bought/sold/traded into slavery, so there should be no anger towards America. His white, extremely liberal and well educated mother and midwestern white grandparents raised him, is he angry at them? Bill Ayers is one of his Acquaintances. Have you forgotten that Bill Ayers is..you guessed it.. Jewish.

Now, I must ask. Who taught him to choose this so called angry woman to match him? Was it his white mother or his "typical" white and sometimes prejudiced grandmother?

"He is a product of his environment"
Hmm, he is the product of being an expat child who once lived in Indonesia. He lived in peaceful serene Hawaii and KANSAS. Where is the anger? You act as if he was raised in watts or Bedstuy.

Mind you, I am not a liberal or a conservative. There are many things about Obama of which I do not agree. However, if you bear in mind that he was a biracial young man raised primarily in white environments. You may begin to get more of a clear picture of who he really is as opposed to assuming that he is some type of angry black man.
Being biracial puts a lot of pressure on a young man, especially in all white or black environments. It's hard to have expectations of behavior of which you know nothing about. When you get called all types of names because you are different, you search for people in which you can identify. This is where Reverend Wright comes in. He was a very light skinned man who probably shared the same experiences with both blacks and whites as Obama. Not being raised in any religion prior to this church, How is he supposed to know that the message taught in Reverend Wrights church is contrary to that which is taught in the majority of Christian Churches? Here is a man, dying to find out about a culture he knows nothing about, so he was bound to make mistakes.
Having said that, I am also pretty sure that aspects of Reverend Wrights sermons probably made him feel uncomfortable. Yet, connections were important. Did you expect him to play pollyanna and expect him to not "play the game" for his political ambitions?
Bill Ayers, well look to his mother who was somewhat of a Hippy and probably a tad radical. Obama is a flower child. Do you honestly think that he wouldn't have a slight amount of admiration for Bill Ayers and his wife?
Stop looking at color and making assumptions based on what you would like to project from your own internal bias. If he is a radical, then it is probably due to the influence of his mother, college, and searching for his identity. It has nothing to do with "anger" for "his people." He's definitely not angry for you. His people are the "typical" midwestern white family, he came from.

#76. "overwhelmingly "????????????????/
==========
Not hardly, Tom. Obambi was elected by 30% of the electorate. Only 58% of eligible votors bothered to vote. The remaining 42% effectively said 'none of the above', rejecting Obambi and McCain, too.

This persistent paranoia about Ayers and Wright is a winning angle for the wingnuts. Well, it is to those who still can't accept that Obama won the election (is there some type of treatment availble for this?) Using this paranoia to build a theory based on "I knew it all along" is sooooo enlightening. There's only one problem with all of this......The President has maintained consistent popularity despite the paranoid fringe....Oh well, I'll go back to my talking mounted fish, the "Rev Wright Billy Bass" ...."God Bless America?...No, no, no! God d___ America!"

I saw many interesting comments. I cry over the fact that too few Americans chose to do their homework and look beneath the surface of an empty suit.

The colour of this man's skin has nothing at all to do with what is being presented to the public. Like so many others I realized before this dope was elected that he was nothing like the picture that was presented.

Even here in Australia he was presented with a very rosy image. He is just like Kevin the Krudd who is Prime Minister of Australia, the golden haired boy who throws tantrums just because they do not have a hairdryer in Afghanistan (oh how my heart bleeds for the man - NOT!).

Here is my assessment:

1. Knowledge of Economics - Fail. Barry skipped Economics 101 class but he was given the usual affirmative action grade. (this is sarcasm). Since becoming POTUS Barry has shown that he has little knowledge about supply and demand. His actions will cause hyperinflation.

2. Mental State - I am not a psychiatrist but I have been reading up about narcissism and Barry fits the bill. However, it recently struck me that Barry could have a case of undiagnosed obsessive compulsive disorder. He spends up big and then has regrets - such as the passing of all those bills and then cutting down $100 million. That is just like the swings of OCD.

3. Knowledge of American and world history - fail. He does not even come close to understanding history. His view is distorted at best.

I will continue to make my observations, for I see so many parallels between OBummer and King Kevin Krudd, as though they could be brothers (ROFL - sarcasm of course)

Tom. Asking questions about who our president is and what he is about is our right. Talking about it is also our right. We don't have to shut up and it is not something I plan to "learn" to do. I have a RIGHT to dissent. And using "you people" is terribly impolite and very politically incorrect. Dude.

Tom (#76), you could not be more wrong & completely off the mark. We people have a right to speak. It's in the Constitution, although President Obama is trying his best to subvert the Constitution with his perverted Saul Alinsky "Rules for Radicals" tactics.

Obama will fall from grace. The fall will be hard & fast. And Obama will be left speechless even with his teleprompters.

Typical Republican hatemongering nonsense. Why don't you people just learn to shut up? America rejected overwhelmingly your worthless brand of politics in November.
