Terrorists: Just the Tip of the Jihadi Iceberg
Counter terrorism officials in the United States, and the West in general, have not yet understood that there is a political, non-combatant wing of the global Salafi-jihad movement. It acts as an international production line, routinely manufacturing thousands of Muslims with a Salafi religious orientation, a Salafi worldview, and the belief that they are part of an international movement designed to reform the world community of Muslims, bringing them back to what they consider “true” Islam, and bringing Islam back to global leadership.
While the majority of the members of this movement do not commit acts of violence, they totally support the combatant wing of the movement. They make their own contributions to its success by proselytizing, preaching, and fundraising; forming new front organizations; and creating centers of jihad support in schools, mosques, and Islamic centers.
It is out of this movement that the activists, committed long-term jihadis, and lone wolf attackers emerge. Unless we alter our approach to include aggressive investigations of the movement’s political organizations and elements, homegrown terrorists will continue to be radicalized and inspired to violence, and come to the attention of the authorities only after they have committed their crimes. Consider the cases of individuals such as Adam Gadahn (al-Qaeda spokesman Azzam al Amriki), Anwar al Awlaki (the 9/11 imam), John Walker Lindh (the American Taliban), Major Nidal Hassan (Ft. Hood massacre), and Faisal Shahzad (the Times Square bomber).
Our self-imposed limitations are all the more surprising because bin Laden’s deputy himself has told the world on numerous occasions, over at least five years, that much of al-Qaeda’s activity has nothing to do with carrying out specific jihad attacks.
- In his book Knights under the Prophet’s Banner, published in December 2001, Ayman al Zawahiri plainly stated:
The jihad movement must dedicate one of its wings to work with the masses, preach, provide services for the Muslim people and share their concerns through all available avenues for charity and educational work. We must not leave a single area unoccupied. We must win the people’s confidence, respect, and affection. The people will not love us unless they felt that we love them, care about them and are ready to defend them.
- Three years later, in an al-Qaeda communiqué entitled The Freeing of Humanity and the Homelands, which appeared on March 10, 2005, Zawahiri specified exactly the kind of non-combatant help it needed. He stated that in order to educate the Ummah, showing the world’s Muslims the dangers facing them, and inciting them to resist, al-Qaeda needs the active assistance of honest propagators, intellectuals, teachers, journalists, trade union men, and tribal elders.
- Again, a year and a half later, in an al-Qaeda communiqué entitled Between Islam and Disbelief, published on December 21, 2006, Zawhiri directed students, missionaries, and professionals to conduct specific non-jihad tasks, such as making mosques, universities, colleges and high schools centers for jihad support; converting for the jihad; facilitating recruitment and fundraising; spreading the ideology; identifying jihad targets, providing intelligence, and disseminating propaganda; carrying out acts of civil disobedience such as strikes, demonstrations, and sit-ins; refusing to pay taxes; preventing cooperation with security forces; and boycotting U.S. and Israeli products.
So, what is the proper treatment for this poison that Islam spews?
These “helpers” of Muslim terrorists ought to be hunted down and shot, or at the minimum deported. This will never happen, though; we in the West are so incredibly stupid and politically correct even in the face of this existential threat.
Today’s Mail runs a story about the Swedish suicide bomber, claiming that it was the Muslim wife of his that created and radicalized this Muslim POS, according to the Romanian granny.
Who wants to bet that Mona Thwany and her three children will be well taken care of by the British well-fare system?
These Muslims terrorists would have hard time preparing for the terror acts without the vast community of ‘helpers.’ The center of the beast is always the mosque, whether in the US, UK or Sweden.

Even Bush, although much better than O’Bama, did not fully understand the threat. Sweden is bending over backwards to be politically correct to these madmen and yet they still get bombed. When will the west, along with all of those other far-left nuts out there who really hate the democratic countries they live in, come to the conclusion that there is no reasoning with radical Islam and its followers? I’m afraid it’s too late for immigration reform when it comes to Muslims. There are too many of the wrong kind here already. Strategic deportation is the very least our country needs to employ. The civil war within Islam is divided on one main issue: the future status of the man-made parts of Sharia—the parts not in the Koran:
1) The classic fiqh of the four Imams of Sunni Sharia law: Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafii, Malik ibn Anas and Imam Hanbal
2) The ahadith and Sira.
Islamist Muslims are killing Muslims in an effort to stop the gradual drift away from those two parts of Sharia.
The West is being attacked because of the seductiveness of our freedoms that tempt Muslims away from societies in which the state controls the religion and enforces religious law. Islamists desperately need a war between Islam and the West to counteract that attraction, which they correctly see as fatal to their cause in the long run.
Certainly politics and culture are deeply involved, as always. But the basic issue revolves around this question: How should the Koran be interpreted today? Muslims should be free to interpret the Koran for themselves, accepting or rejecting clerical advice as they see fit, without concern for the consequences of apostasy.
We Westerners should support all Muslims who are for separation of religion and state. That is the dagger pointed at the heart of jihadism.

Yes, they do exist. One of them wrote a piece for the Wall Street Journal about the Ground Zero mosque, challenging the guy who wants to build it to say how he’ll treat women and asking him what he thinks of Salman Rushdie.
Also, Paul Berman in The Flight of the Intellectuals talks about moderate Muslims protesting an appearance in Canada by Tariq Ramadan, at the same time as clueless leftists were feting the guy.
Finally, when a few years ago Canada was thinking of allowing Muslims to use shari’a for family disputes, it was some women Muslims who put their foot down and said no.
Of course, it’s possible that these people are all deep-cover sleeper agents who are trying to fool us, but if so, they could just be apolitical rather than overtly against the shari’aphiles and still fool us.

The government will not give the ‘non-violent’ part of Jihad here the attention it serves until there is another bad terrorist attack. The current political climate in Washington will not allow for it. But, at the very least, all Muslim immigration would end on the heels of such an attack. And it more than likely that at some point foreign born Muslims known to have given money to any Muslim charity—they are all dubious—would be deported, even if this breaks up families. Even small fry issues such as imams going to prisons to convert inmates would be ended (as if there has been a real mystery about why prison inmates are considered good material for conversion to Islam).
One wonders whether American Muslims quietly giving money to stealth Jihad organizations really understand the implications of the dangerous game they are playing. In the aftermath of a bad attack nothing would be considered a mitigating factor for the simple reason that no politician or political party would survive the backlash for failing to take harsh measures against anyone even suspected of aiding and abetting Jihad. The very next national election would be 2010 many times over for the party that shows the slightest hesitation to act.

I am just ruminating. This is an excellent article. Covering the real facts it pulls no punches when it comes to what individuals in this movement are up to and how they implement it. I cannot speak too highly of it. Is it not passing strange that when the body of work by the Birchers went into the same type of detail about our relations in WWII and China and after, that they were expelled an banned, notwithstanding one could always disagree with their interpretation. But the facts themselves – the body of work – was banned from serious discussion. The belief that their works were reprehensible, wrong and crazy is held as a matter of faith by the general population.

All the main points covered. In practical terms, the three bases of Islamic inspiration remain Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan.
All Western states – and Israel – keep hoping that S Arabia will change. The apparent cooperation over Iran helps stir this belief, or illusion. The Saudis are more than willing to fight Iran to the last American and Israeli. The Saudis are happy to accept this help in their efforts to keep Sunni Islam, with themselves at the top, ruling the ummah. We will see the ‘day after’ – if somehow the IRG is finally overthrown – if Saudi attitudes have changed at all. The Salafi threat is deeper and smarter and more institutionalized in the United States than that of the Shiites.
Iran has been discussed endlessly in these pages. Perhaps the regime there understands the situation as the Shiite Last Stand. Certainly US and Israeli de facto support for SA has to motivate them to an extent. No, I did not say ‘justify them.’
Pakistan is the great cesspool, and nuclearized.
The only real solution to any of this is a United Infidel Front against Islam. It appears to be several horrendous attacks away, if it ever really materializes.

I had previously said that we erred in taking Saddam out. We should have let him dominate the area, Iran and the Saudi’s, and after he had done that, then we could have addressed Saddam. Saddam was only quoting the Quran to suit his purposes. He was ruthless (an admirer of Hitler) and killed his own people but that kind of evil can better be dealth with than the Islamic fundamental type (of EVIL). He even had a Christian or two in his cabinet, I believe.

I believe that people who are basically decent minded — leave others alone, worship as you please, mind your own business, build a clean life with family and friends, assemble wealth within one’s abilities — are often psychologically incapable of understanding that some others do not at any level share these goals. And those others could be your fellow student in the classroom, your colleague at work or the nice woman next door…
This applies to folks looking at islamism, or any of the other “isms” that the sociopaths among us — estimated at about 1 in 20 — adopt to exert power over their neighbors.

The only way to raise the level of awareness among the public at large is continual discussion in every available forum, from the office lunch room upwards. I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment, however, the very moment the immigrant followers of any “ism” conspire to deprive other citizens of their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, I feel the welcome mat should be ripped from beneath their feet so quickly that they wonder where that ton of bricks came from.
Citizenship can and should be revoked and future visas denied, followed by rapid deportation to whatever/wherever is their country of origin. Home grown terrorist deserve to be jailed for life, no exceptions. If their attempted act of terror results in the death of another citizen, then the death penalty should automatically be applied with a very limited possibility for appeal.
The question is; when and where will we get a president with the courage of conviction and strength of character to actually uphold his/her oath of office? 2012 will be a very interesting year.

The cause is intellectual. America’s dominant philosophy for a century, Pragmatism, is a philosophy in which ideas, especially ideology, are irrelevant. Brilliant, I am learning a lot of these things in an organization called ACT for America. They seem to be one of the only agressive organizations that understand what is going on with global Jihad. I fully recommend it. They seem to have the leadership and guts to tell it like it is.

Something Ive said for a long time. Osama Bin Laden was in a hospital in Bahrain in July ,2002. Yet the govt of Bahrain kept that from the US. Ive said many times ISLAM IS THE PROBLEM and it is. Islam provides the “enabler” for those who perform terrorist acts in its name. Id go as far to say as Islam hijacked terrorism, not the other way around. After all, who funds the Wahabbis? Every Arab oil sheik in the world does. Who brings us someone like Nidal Hassan? Or John Allen Mohammead? Until Islam is held accountable nothing will change.
The problem for Islam is that it has always defined itself by what it is opposed to and what it is not. Islam and the Koran teach people to stay away from certain people and not be like them and to oppress other cultures within its realm because Islam’s identity is so easily subverted. It really only succeeded and spread at the point of a sword and today those outside Islam have little interest in a religion that offers so little when it comes to building societies.
Outside of its strictly religious tenets, what does strict Islam stand for really – not shaking hands with women? The Muslim Brotherhood and people like Sayyid Qutb are famous for rejecting Western values but what are their own values? Islam’s famed Sharia is an empty shell, easily brushed aside by just about any other culture which is why Islam seeks to brush aside institutions outside their own. Muslims don’t play well with other people because they cannot countenance other people without dominating them with primitive notions of daily life that are medieval in character.
What is it that Islam brings to the table when it comes to the governance of men that is so radically different or workable as opposed to the reality of Islamic governments in the middle east. Islamic debate invariably centers around the West because without the West or a foe there is no Islam. Unless one considers dictatorships to be a form of sharia there has never been an Islamic government in the true sense of the term.
Where is the Magna Carta in Islam, the throwing off of the divine right of kings, a constitution for the Islamic people? There is none. You take away the dictatorships in most Islamic countries and you have zip, nada. Islam is being overwhelmed from within by the West in the same manner that the West is being overwhelmed by baby booms in the Third World. Islam cannot and will never succeed outside of its native polities without a constant fresh infusion of muslim immigrants to the West. Islamic values are too easily subverted by Western polities which acknowledge human nature rather than seek to suppress it. All immigration from muslim nations should be stopped in the West and let Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, the internet, film, TV and cell phones do their subversive work because Islam cannot and will not escape what is after all, the greatest surge of freedoms the world has ever known.
Once Islam has been safely ensconced within the bosom of fantasy soccer leagues, reality TV, comic book conventions, pornography, video games, riding lawn mowers and the wonders of abortion and birth control enabled free sex, they will surely come around. Until then, their baby boom must be contained outside the West.

Any Mosque found preaching hate, and supporting terror should be destroyed, and all those that worship the god and follow Mohammad at said Mosque should be deported. Of course, cell phones and CPU’s need to be taken, and searched.

On a daily basis there are articles describing Jihad activities around the world and here in the U.S. Unlike this one, nearly all of these lead to the inevitable conclusion that authorities in the West, including here in America, are completely oblivious to the creeping Jihad that is tightening like a noose around our “heathen” necks and worse; like helpless sheep our leadership are eagerly putting their necks and ours, in the noose while displaying a beatific countenance; lofty motivations, political correctness, multiculturalism and religious tolerance personified, all artfully but naively designed to make the world love us; at which point, dare it be said, “terrorism” will end; very modern, liberal, collegiate and sophomoric.
Mr. Fairchild has been at this for 20 years. Is anyone listening? The U.S. Navy today is bending over and spreading both cheeks in supplication for daring to refer to the “Persian Gulf” as the “Arabian Gulf” thereby enraging some Iranian Mullahs and the press is all over the story, describing the response of the Navy “flacks.”

So who directed this response? Admiral McMullen, the Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, Barack Hussein Obama? Who, and have any of them attended one of Mr. Fairchild’s lectures?
Is this how the U.S. Military, the most powerful armed force in the world representing the “awesome power” of America, has decided to respond to what they’ve “learned” from the likes of Mr. Fairchild? What’s it going to take; a nuke over some major U.S. population center? And then what do we do; wring our hands in abject supplication and beg to be forgiven for whatever the hell we did to offend these cheeky bastards? Maybe cartoons of Mohammad, or a Seeing Eye dog defecates in front of a Mosque, or expressions of disgust and dismay re the GZM, or a TSA pat down of a Muslim, or a legislative ban on Sharia, or support for Israel? And the list goes on and on ad nauseum. Our leaders call it “reaching out,” a revised diplomatic approach; Muslims refer to it as dhimmitude, the required state for the global, non-Muslim world absent the Jew. For the Jew it’s annihilation, Holocaust II to finish what Hitler started.
Muslims who support the Islamic notion that Islam must be dominant over all other religions and the aforementioned fate of the Jews need to be made to understand that we, Americans, are aware of and fed up with their global ambitions, have no sympathies for their petty, peevish grievances and will no longer put up with their retrogressive views, policies and ambitions. But this tack needs to be from the top down as well as the bottom up and, unless there’s some broad, covert strategy at work, the “top” not only doesn’t get it but are determined to ramp up the apparent policy of appeasement. What a disgustingly feckless display of American diplomacy and “exceptionalism!” America’s current crop at the top seems determined to demonstrate to the world that we have no respect for ourselves and expect that attitude to engender respect and admiration from the world community. The inexperienced, intellectual elite are in charge putting their untried, unproven, lofty intellectual theories to the test and failing miserably. Unfortunately the stakes are a little too high to allow this to go unchecked.
Above all the reasons I despise the man that finally killed the Reagan Revolution after his father had severely crippled it, that is “no more nation building” George W Bush … his ‘Religion of Peace spew tops the list. The world has gone mad. Muslims are nazis. Worse actually. And we let them immigrate and live amongst us and PROTECT them for crying out loud. Literally suicidal.

This fight against Islam is our generation’s fight. (I refuse to include the word “radical” since that would be redundant.)
We did not ask for this war, but it is here nonetheless and we have to deal with it. Please ask yourself one question: precisely what is it our sworn enemy is using to such great affect in its escalating war against America? The answer is our Constitution. Without a change to our Constitution I doubt we can win this war.
Certainly it is only a matter of time before the islamists overwhelm our law enforcement resources. So I ask what is the alternative? I sincerely believe we will have to amend the Constitution in such a way as to outlaw the free and open practice of Islam in the United States.
So what if we get labeled islamaphobic. First, islamists and the hate-America crowd on the left already claim we are. Second, our survival is more important than some label foisted upon us by some 7th Century moon god worshippers.
Please think carefully about this idea. It may never see the light of day, but then again…
I’ve thought the same thing. We need a Constitutional Amendment. Exactly right. We need a viable legal tool.
The Constitutional Convention came to pass as a result of, among other efforts, several newspaper articles written by Alexander Hamilton, then a proposal, and next a report to Congress citing the need for a convention concerning US trade & commerce. The existing government framework was weak, and not working. Hamilton’s efforts took place over about 5 years, and I don’t think we have anywhere near that much time to let this go on. But what our government has been doing, if anything?, isn’t working. We need our laws to be on our side, not being used by CAIR against us. We need an Alexander Hamilton, or maybe Thomas Paine…how does something like this get started?
And, as if we all don’t already know this, PC is alot of garbage. Get over it. Let them call us what they want. The stakes are too high to care about being labeled. We would rather be free!
It would serve our best interest to find out and know all there is to know about the Muslim religion, and what part is our enemy, and which is not.
