Tea Party Tracking Poll 10/15/2010
Rush Limbaugh recently stated his view that Obama would not moderate his agenda if Republicans gain control of the house:
I just don’t see Obama saying to himself, “You know what? Â I’ve been wrong. Â I’m going to have to move to the middle here if I want to get reelected here in 2012. Â I’ve done what I thought people wanted, but they don’t want it. Â It’s a mistake.” Â He doesn’t think this way. Â He doesn’t behave this way.
This week the PJTV/Pulse Opinion Research Tea Party Tracking Poll asked Likely Voters whether they agree that, “If Republicans take back congress in November, President Obama will pursue a more moderate agenda.” Only 37% of Likely Voters Strongly or Somewhat Agree. The number is particularly low (32%) among members of Obama’s own party, the Democrats.
In a second topical question this week, Likely Voters were asked whether they agree that “By the time of the 2012 Presidential election, the Tea Party movement will dominate the Republican party.” More than half of Likely Voters (53%) Strongly or Somewhat Agree. The number is particularly high among Republicans, the respondents who may be considered the most knowledgeable on this question, with 65% of Republicans Strongly or Somewhat Agreeing.
In the key trends tracked each week by the Tea Party Tracking Poll, one statistically significant change was observed. Respondents stating that they are Very or Somewhat Likely to vote for a candidate for Congress who is supported by the Tea Party movement dropped from 52% to 48%.

As a Tea Party Patriot, Obama will not change his Socialist agenda, it will just be much harder to get his crap legislation passed is all. Do *I* hear filibuster?
Tea Party sponsorship really isn’t a necessary particular for a candidate vote. What’s much more meaningful is the candidate’s conservative ideals and agenda. And then we hold them to the fire if elected and falter on agenda.
Tea Party is the police for Congress. Their actions are now watched intensely! They falter, and they hear from us immediately.
And though I’m registered Republican for voting easy, in actuality I’m a Conservative/Libertarian — smaller government is better government!
“smaller government is better government!”
No government restrictions on marijuana, abortion, gay marriage . . . you’re not a libertarian, you’re a liberal.
Nonsense. The Donks have had control of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency AND — Federal police still do drug busts and still try to enforce DADT — nor have they tried to pass federal legislation to legalize gay marriage. So — according to your definition — they aren’t liberals?
Well you are right — they aren’t “classical liberals”.
I can’t wait to hear the inevitable: “the right wing refuses to cooperate with me!” Get the laugh track ready.
I’m waiting for the televised meltdown. “My Fair Lady” Obama is heading for a train wreck of epic proportion.
Why doesn’t someone ask the question, Will you vote for a democrat who also has the endorsement of the Working Families Party? Republican and Conservative candidates are always introduced as also being supported by the Tea Party but Democrats are never introduced as “also endorsed by the Working Families Party.
Smaller government is better government!!! Get out of my life, obama. Except for abortion and gay marriage, I don’t like gays and abortion and I want a government to tell everyone not to be gay or have an abortion. But other than that, stay out of my life. Oh yeah, except for my road, it has alot of pot holes and cars always go right through that one stop sign. I wish the police would do something about that, but other than that, stay out of my life. Oh I forgot about food safety. My cousin got real sick eating bad eggs a few months ago, but no more government, oh yeah I forgot about my mom and her social security check. That’s all she really has to live on, and also medicare which she needs for her glaucoma, but the Government is too intrusive and it needs to stop telling us what to do. We republicans should also pass a law that would outlaw some religions because I don’t want my government to tell me to stop saying Merry X-mas whenever I want. Those damn Jews are ruining it for the rest of us and smaller government would mean less regulations and laws like the one that says we have to say Happy Holidays, not Merry Xmas (It’s true, I heard it on Glenn Beck, I think). I think it is good to have someone like Rush to tell me what to think, because I don’t want Obama-sama to tell me how to live MY LIFE!!!
Even with the Republicans in control of the House, Obama will go around them with executive orders and agencies with appointed officials making their own agenda. The Constitution or Rule of Law means nothing to the progressive socialists. For them, the ends justify the means. Is 2012 here yet?
Very funny, “GOP Baby”. Tho obviously sarcasm, your statements are an example of why the Tea Party movement smartly…VERY SMARTLY…excluded the explosive social issues.
Put the social issues back in the churches where they belong.
Seems like the steady media demonization of the tea party movement is beginning to pay off a little.
Just one question and I rest my case. Do you believe a candidate who lies, cheats and steals votes to secure his election is and will work for your benefit?
Our founding fathers knew the fear of a government that had no ear for the people. As we Americans see our government ignore our voices time and time again, not losing faith in the greatist document ever created from ink and paper, but, loseing faith in the people we trust to take our voices to Washington. The tea party is just a name for this voice. Just as it was the voice of a small fragile government long ago against a government that wanted to rule and not be ruled. There is a third party in this still great nation, a party to be proud of. A party of all races from around this world. A party that wants to leave there children a blessing not a burden, We the people.
No way will he back off. He has stated his intentions to “rule” by executive order. He is setting up councils and committees along with permanent funding to bypass congress. Congress means nothing to him. They really aren’t even slowing him down. Note his executive order signed yesterday to give the hispanics quality education.
Until the ability to rule by executive order is removed, we will never again have any say in how our government is run. We are already living in a dictatorship and being kept occupied with an election that doesn’t matter to him.
The lame duck congress will pass the rest of his agenda and we will be totally screwed. If he is not stopped, we are heading for financial collapse and possible civil war. This is one time Time Magazine may have had it right.
