Tea Partiers Get Valuable Lesson from … David Axelrod
As the Tea Party Express rolls across the country, drawing crowds of thousands at every stop, a golden lesson has dropped in their laps from above.
This priceless gem was delivered by David Axelrod as he did an ObamaCare post-passage interview on the Democrats’ blitzkrieg strategy. Just hours after the House vote, Axelrod gave an interview to the Huffington Post (one of Axelrod’s sons is an editor), and he let his guard down enough to gift all Americans with a glimpse into the true soul of this administration.
Speaking of inside-the-White-House deliberations in the immediate aftermath of the Scott Brown victory, Axelrod noted:
Some of the steam went out of the opposition after that [Brown’s victory]. … I think that people felt like they had made a statement. Perhaps they felt like they had killed health care reform … They thought the fight was over. And that [the president] couldn’t now succeed. I do believe that. And it is almost as if they had made the statement that they thought they had stopped the thing. And so it created a breathing space for us to regroup.
In this brief moment of candor lies the most crucial enlightenment the people are going to get from this administration:
– Barack Obama considers this a revolution against the pillars of American liberty, and nothing short of absolute, ignominious defeat in all branches of the federal government is going to dissuade his revolutionary zeal. Tea partiers winning a battle here and there is a pesky thorn in his side — nothing more. Barack Obama has declared this a fight to the very end.
With this sort of leadership, either liberalism must now suffer a decisive and complete defeat, wherein even its proponents begin to hide their heads in shame and remorse forevermore, or socialism will continue its march. There is no in-between, no compromise, and no turning back.
– The will of the majority means nothing to this president.
Fence-sitting Americans must forcefully rid themselves of the notion that this president believes in majority-rule democracy. By his Chicago-way, thug-tactics victory in the health care battle, he has clearly shown his own stripes, those of a determined revolutionary without regard for the will of the people.
No fight, whether civil or uncivil, has ever been won without knowing one’s enemy and his true objectives. David Axelrod, in his moment of partisan candor (he was speaking to his comrades at the Huffington Post), has just given Americans all they need to know in the coming struggles.
As a true narcissist, Obama believes his glowing press. He seeks to go down in history as the man who delivered the plum of America to the international socialist collective, or at least pushed us past the point of no return. He will stop at nothing less. Liberty is a revolting principle to the president who brings shackles wrapped as gifts.
Liberty? We don’t need no stinkin’ liberty!
Rules? We don’t need no stinkin’ rules!
John McCain’s fatal mistake in the election was his failure to see his opponent for the socialist zealot he is, which all of Obama’s prior history and chosen associations revealed. Sarah Palin, to her everlasting credit, did not make this mistake. That Palin sees through Obama, and has from the beginning, would seem to be behind liberals’ shrill fear of her. She evokes spine-tingling, quaking-in-their-Gucci-pumps kind of fear in every big government nanny and in the whole host of media’s leftist pimps.
Tea partiers must cling unflinchingly to this clear revelation about Obama, and never be taken in by seemingly conciliatory moves he might make or speeches he might give, and march all the way to irrevocable victory.
If they are taken in the way John McCain was, then all is truly lost.
Having spent a good deal of time with tea partying patriots, I do not see them as easily fooled, however. A very wise group they appear to be. Whether highly educated or not so much, tea partiers on the whole have the one thing so many on the left, and especially in this particular administration, lack: real-world experience.
Barack Obama and his minions have unleashed and called to rhetorical arms a veritable legion of the kind of folks they probably didn’t even know existed a year ago. These are Americans who prefer liberty over the luxury of a government-guaranteed life of mooching off the labors of others.
Silent majority? Well, not any more.
Dumb rednecks? Now, there’s a laugh.
The only reason this far-left administration and its media mouthpieces don’t respect the tea partiers is that they hold the partiers’ all-American virtues in such virulent disdain.
Among the hundred or so tea partiers I’ve spoken with, many are industrious entrepreneurs, who have built successful small businesses from the very ground up, starting with nothing more than a high school diploma or a state-school bachelor’s degree and a lot of good old-fashioned common sense and a strong work ethic. A sizeable lot of the ones I’ve interviewed have military backgrounds and possess the unfaltering self-discipline that is the everlasting hallmark of time spent in the service.
Many of the tea party leaders I’ve personally met are homemakers. Women who are proficient chief executive officers of the homefront and born to multi-task. One ought never underestimate the power of a woman, who can hold a baby on her hip while making sack lunches with one hand and arranging a venue for her next anti-big-government demonstration using her Bluetooth. These women are so used to juggling three or four important tasks at one time that they ought to be profiled as the unsung heroines of every American success story. The tea parties are only one such success.
All in all, I would have to say that in these armies of all-American patriots, David Axelrod and his president have found the shock of their political lives. And now that Axelrod has given tea partiers a golden glimpse into the true mindset of his president, Americans know the stakes. It’s a contest that will be written about for a hundred years.

The Point David makes is valid, the election of Mr. Brown gave a false sense of accomplishment to the conservative Right. Republicans backed off health care as if it was no longer an issue, they left the battle early to their shame. This is Politics 101, never give up.

Conventional politics would have killed the bill or forced a restart after the Dems lost the Mass senate seat. Sure the Dems had the power to pass the crapy Senate bill and they did. Aexlrod shows we are not in ‘conventional politics’ we are in ‘total war politics’. This administration will stop at nothing to achieve it’s goals. Demonize, lie, nothing but the exercise of raw power can stop them.

The “missing” piece is that the will of the people is something to be ignored when possible. Brown won in part on anti-health care sentiment. He won in a state most likely to be supportive of ObamaCare. Polls show this feeling is widespread–a plurality (now a majority) of the American people oppose ObamaCare.
Instead of doing their duty as democratic leaders, Team Obama took an opening to ignore it and stuff this “reform” down the public’s throat.

The totalitarians have been in the academy for decades. Now they’re in the White House. Yes, we have to understand their mindset. They hate this country and are after absolute power. This column nailed it.
The reason the above analysis is true is because of Obama’s and the Democrats’ complete disregard of public opinion. During the healthcare disaster, there was not one, NOT ONE, poll out there where the majority of the American people supported Obamacare. Not one. In fact, the majority of the people consistently DISAPPROVED of the bill, never the other way around. The town hall meetings and the Tea Party protests only reinforced this disapproval, yet Obama and the Democrats in Congress totally ignored the will of the American people. Obama and the Democrats even had the stones to say that they were passing the bill for our own good and that it didn’t really matter that public opinion was not on their side of the debate. This is NOT supposed to happen in a representative republic. Congress is supposed to work for us and represent what we want, NOT the other way around.
At first I was truly afraid for this nation, wondering if we had drifted into a socialist coup within our federal government. But the Tea Party movement has given me a lot of hope, along with the elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Stand firm, ladies and gentlemen, because in a few short months we are going to show the Democrats what real pain feels like on election day. Make it your mission in life to stand and be counted in the voting booth. Make it your mission in life to protest the socialist takeover of our Federal Government. And PLEASE make it your mission in life to spread the word so that others will join us in voting these bums out of office. If you make that commitment, then there still some hope for this great land of ours.

I saw this demonstrated yesterday in a discussion at the edge of the Boston Tea Party Express rally. Two blue-collar guys were having a heated discussion with a well-dressed black man (fine suit with silk ascot). The blue-collar guys had been at the Tea Party rally and the well-dressed guy had just been walking through the park. I’m not sure how the conversation started, but several of us started gathering around to listen; there was a lot of that yesterday, one of the nice things about the event was so many people with different views trying to communicate with one another. (One of the sad things was how little we got through to one another, but it’s a start.)
When I joined the group, they were yelling at each other about health care. The blue-collar guy said he believed in private health insurance. The white-collar guy challenged him, asking what he used. “It’s medicaid, right? Your own health care is paid for by medicaid, isn’t it?” The blue-collar guy was unshaven, and dressed in work clothes, so I guess he looked poor to the well-dressed guy. Boy, did he get mad. Shaking mad, as he pulled out his wallet and held up his insurance card for his challenger. He told us how much he paid, hundreds of dollars a month for just himself on an individual plan, he said. The challenger was definitely surprised. Just as you say, it had not occured to him, apparently, that some people who don’t have much money are among those who don’t want government handouts or government-run programs.

I believe the tea partiers and GOP need to battle it out in the primaries and whoever wins, we ALL must stand with the winner even if its not our preferred choice!
Don’t look for Obama and company to back off their agenda – this will keep things at a boil and the benefit will be to keep things in the limelight right up to November. People will see the erosions of their freedom continue. The Progressive Democrats know they only have until November to get cap and trade – finance reform – and other pet projects that they’ve dreamed about for 100 years – since Teddy Roosevelt.
My understanding is the Tea Party won’t put forth candidates – at least that is what the local party I’m involved with has said. They (and I) realize this will have the effect of splitting votes and most crucially votes that would otherwise go to Republicans. My thinking is to get involved early in the process and get conservative candidates into the primary and win there. This is better than waiting to see who will win – a RINO or a conservative. If the RINO gets the nod in the primary so be it and back them in November – better to have a RINO win and get 50% voting in the right direction than a Democrat get in and vote 100% in the wrong direction.
I wouldn’t be so sure about the ability of the Tea Party Patriots to win. The negative press coverage of the parties is getting louder, and instead of ignoring the protests as in the past, the press is now covering with derision. The same thing is happening to Glen Beck, who has now risen to Rush Limbaugh hights in scorn and distain from the media and liberals. Anyone who speaks the truth and American way is not met with honest debate, but is attacked with insults. The tide is not with the Tea Party or Americans. The international socialist collective is going to win this.

And please read Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”; the 0bama administration is filled with people using these tactics. Willy, you have expressed what many of us secretly fear – the one world order/socialist collective has had many decades of preparation to launch this assault on our liberty, and that it may already be too late. I tend to think that when Hillary Clinton complained about a “vast right-wing conspiracy” it was really just a gigantic case of projection. Obama has been chosen and groomed for this assault many years in advance, knowing that the charge of racism could be leveled to counter any opposition. But that fact that most of the MSM is speaking out against the Tea Party movement in such a unified voice and with such an over-the-top, irrational vitriol to make it appear that the Tea Party participants are something those in the MSM knows very well they are not, smacks of a conspiracy on an enormous scale. The MSM is in the enemy’s camp, and we may well lose our freedom forever if we continue to believe the lies they are telling us.

You give the MSM way too much credibility – and too little to the average American. I know a lot of people – ~half of them voted for Obama in 2008 – I doubt he’d get them all to vote for him again – maybe a third or less – at least from what they are saying. Most simply know too well how the MSM tricked them by not vetting Obama like they should have – you know – like how they vetted Palin?
Have confidence – the vast majority of Americas are awoken like never before to what is happening in this country. My 32 year old son – who voted for Obama and never bothered to watch or read the news before this year is very aware – as are his friends too. A few of them even watch Beck – and much to my surprise understand what Beck is saying – AND they agree with him.
I highly doubt the polls of Obama’s popularity is as good as the MSM says it is. I suspect they are fudging the numbers and/or slanting the question.
Most of the polls dramatically over sample Democrats. Others use adults, or registered voters, instead of likely voters. Two groups that traditionally swing Democrat.
Keep dreaming. We still have no voice nor do we have anyone in Congress with the stones to call the WON and his henchmen what they really are. We get peeks of it from Gregg, Pence and a couple others but for the majority of the time, our emasculated pols just sit back and enjoy the ride. Instead we still have Sen. Hatch making gooey faces with Sen. Leahy and talking about his support of Hillary for SCOTUS; we still have Grahmnesty talking amnesty; we still have McLame and the boobsy twins from ME riding the fence….
The Tea Partiers are great Americans, but as long as we do not have a unifying voice or agenda, the left will win and continue to destroy America. Beck has turned centrist; FN has gone milquetoast; our newest Sen. is unreliable; and our own (?) talking heads and pundits (Noonan, Krauthammer, Paker, etc) are more often than not eating our own and siding with the left….And we have our(?) establishment pols at the RNC making fools of themselves-Steele- and ripping apart the party.
I support the Tea Party movement but without help from DC and pols, it will never get enough traction to make a difference.

The first real fight is one of delineation and it doesn’t involve the right vs. the left (the left is what it is and must be DEFEATED) but those patriots that KNOW this is a war vs. those “on the right” who are not yet willing to call a spade a spade. Or should I say a Democrat anti-American. People need to pick a side, and if they are unwilling to do so they need to clearly be labeled neutrals.

You have people who went to work for the government and received their training from the government who are protesting the government. Interesting.
It’s also fascinating when tea partiers are teachers or insurance agents, people who, if not for big government regulations, would actually have to compete for free market jobs. When government dictates that one must buy insurance to drive, this is essentially a jobs guarantee for insurance agents. When government dictates that children must attend school, this is assurance that teachers will be guaranteed to have jobs. When taxes are paying for road work, vast armies of road construction people, orange cone makers, and equipment makers are guaranteed work. At least 50% of the population works for the government either directly (e.g. cops, military), or indirectly (e.g. teachers, H&R Block tax prep specialists) as the result of dictates.
Do these people protest at tea parties? Whatever for? My guess is that half of them have no idea that their important and “free market” jobs exist not because of any sort of free market at all, but because the bad ole government dictates that they exist.

Ex-military I know (well) didn’t go to work to defend the government but to defend the nation…to defend the principles, ideals and life of this American nation.
They weren’t of a variety “grateful” for some version of employment at hands of said government.
The idea that teachers should be similarly grateful strikes me as silly, not to mention that federal insertion into the realm of public education is a relatively recent phenomenon in the history of the American experience. (and, true to form with everything in the private sphere that gubbmint has touched in my lifetime, much worse off as a function of that insertion/interference).
Right now, the largest growing source of “jobs” seems to be government bureaucracies, people who spend all day long pushing memoranda, sundry pieces of paper, giving speeches and the like. Entitlements & salaries are plentiful in said positions, and federal employees have “healthcare” (and other benefits) that will, they hope, be immune to the restrictions and bureaucratic interference Obamacare would impose onto the rest of us.
All seems like a tragedy to me, a system deeply in need of reduction and the re-imposition of the kinds of limitations the Founders tried to build into it while in the process of constructing it.
Tea Partiers have every right instinct to oppose all of this, with every fiber of their collective being.
I divide government jobs into 2 categories: constitutional (military, post office, customs, coastguard, weights and measures – NIST and possibly truth in advertising, patent office, etc) and unconstitutional (welfare, education, etc). I call those in unconstitutional jobs “Party Members”. I notice a clear division of public advertising into ads targeting Party members, and ads targeting the peasants. Note that welfare and education, and even socialized medicine can properly be done at the state level.
I would support a constitutional amendment to authorize NASA and basic research at the federal level – but they are currently unconstitutional.
A drive to authorize NASA might help highlight the unconstitutional nature of the bulk of the federal budget.

Defense? Hardly. Observation. Some will claim to have seen studies supporting the conservative narrative showing government growth to be inversely correlated to economic wealth. I’ve not seen these, but note that the economy since WWII has been phenomenal, and so has government growth. Facts on the ground suggest the narrative is incorrect.

Government growth appears to be a function — more or less — of technological innovation. One could argue that this is borne of necessity, despite the obvious unpopularity of such a notion at a site such as this. But consider: Henry Ford figures out how to build cheap cars. By definition the government instantly had to get involved with the necessary regulation, licensing, roads, laws (this can be a long list) and this causes government growth. By definition.
Don Rodrigo, the point is that insurance companies are busy serving 500k responsible drivers in a given state and the next morning the state dictates that all drivers must have insurance. 2 million new accounts just poofed into being. That’s a lot of added insurance agents who owe their living to the state’s ability to force people to buy. In effect they work for the government because without governmental edict it would only be the original 500k who were buying their product. Simple enough?
So, Mr. Alston, are you saying that the government created the teaching and insurance professions? And are you assuming that the majority of those with military service, including many with lots of years of service, are somehow typical government workers? Do all things flow from the government?
You left us a long post, which implies to me that you thought it out before writing, so I don’t think it can be said that you mispoke. It looks like you genuinely believe in large-scale government intrusion.

I’ve got news for you Carl: most of those who don’t vote are very likely sympathetic to Obambi, they’re his ilk; the vast majority of conservatives most likely vote, fully realizing the magnitude of their civic responsibility and the severity of that right and exercise it.
My guess is that the only way to get rid of this guy is by either him resigning (for some reason), or by a revolution of a determined minority.
The article is great. It (and you) are right to emphasize following through. But there is more to follow-through than voting. We need for the movement to train and deploy poll-watchers. Unless we have trained observers at every polling place, even in hostile areas, the 2010 election will be stolen!
This is SO important. My fear is that the election will be stolen in spite of our determination. How can we prevent this? I am a small woman who certainly can’t defeat people like those Black Panther types who were threatening voters in the last election. In that case, I would have walked right past them and dared them to stop me! However, that is only one person; that is not stopping them from intimidating voters. What power do poll watchers have? How does one become a poll watcher?
So it is Obama that grants life, health, liberty and pursuit of happiness?

I think you are mis-placing the credit/blame here.
This Axelrod, indeed very illuminating, quote doesn’t mention BHO; it says “and so it created a breathing space for US to regroup.” For “us” not for the great leader, because he’s a figurehead, a front. It’s the “regime” the people who put up Nobama there that regrouped.
And this group has its hands now on $13 trillion dollars – elections mean nothing to these thugs when they control this amount of money. Plus, radicals never give up power easily, no single election (either in 2010 or 2012) will throw them out of power. They’re addicted to power and they tend to keep it no matter what.

Obama and his administration is the real assault on the pillars of American Liberty. This country has never seen anything like this since King George. What is doubly sad is the corruption in the Congress and the left leaning Supreme Court.
If there is one lesson to be taken from the health care fight, it is this:

This is of course true, and has been true of all these people since Wilson, at least. But while correctly pointing out what the mission of Obama is, you inadvertently play into his hands by, still, refusing to call him and these people what they are: they are not “socialists.” They are “communists.” Come on, say it out loud: Barack Obama is a violent communist, spawned by communists, raised by communists, succored and trained by communists, surrounded by communists in the White House and the bureaucracy, and implementing policies that are wholly and purely communistic. If you still flinch at calling him what he is, then the landslide rejection of him that is so necessary will never happen.

It was supposed to have happened in the year 2ooo, with the MILLENIUM election to accord with the time table from the election of 1960– also out of Chicago — after the appearance in 1957 of the NEW STAR in the EAST- Sputnik – heralded the NEW AGE. Events forestalled its triumph. REMEMBER the public temper tantrun and RAGE of Nancy Pelosi when the American electorate chose “right – wing conspiracy” member as Chief Executive? And then the “Democrats” in Congress and the MSM attempted a re-play of Water-gate, which was essentially their contrivance. These “Democrats” had eight (8) years to consolidate their plans and strategies for the REVENGE Promised by Nancy Pelosi on the American People for denying the “transformers” the symbolic date for their NEW AGE. Could this be why she is so cock-a-hoop about the first promised CHANGE via Congress from a representative, however flawed, to a totalitarian government (after the nationalisation of the banks and large segments of the economy by the Chief Executive). You never hear a doctor say, “Well, we’ll just take a little of your cancer out and hope it doesn’t spread.” This is foolish! They take it out and they make sure that they take it out by using chemotheraphy afterwards. The objective is to get rid of it completely so that it never, ever comes back.

President Obama & his administration have far more in common with the aristocracy of King George; the Democrats believe they have the right to RULE than govern. ObamaCare is the first step to rule. Cap & Trade & Dodd’s so-called Financial Reform bill are still more power grabs which must be stopped cold or repealed. The Democrats assume they will have power indefinitely, but they are wrong. The Republicans will get control of the government at some point & with many Democrats who see the writing on the wall, repeal ObamaCare, Porkulus, & Obama’s other disasters. Yet Obama is still deaf to the people. He does not care. Obama wants to rule; rulers do not listen to the people. Rulers command. However, Obama is not a ruler or a leader. He is a fool.
Thanks to ObamaCare, the Democrats have damaged themselves for a generation; it will several years to save their name from oblivion. The Democrats have essentially killed their own party for greed.
In short, Obama administration behaves like proverbial zombies. Okay, got it.
One quibble: Obama is no Liberal: you want the liberals on your side, and it would be very easy to attract the rest of them to a unified position with you. The key is to focus on what works, economically. Socialism doesn’t work because it is a system that concentrates economic decisions in the wrong hands. Under socialism, the fruits of the most productive members of society are drained, stored, and then re-distributed by people far away from all the critical decisions about where those resources should be spent. The resulting waste at each step in the process is enormous, enough to dissipate what should have been a large and productive economy (all of Eastern Europe) into dust.
We currently have a legislature that is telling us it voted on economic measures with far-reaching implications, without any possibility of reading it. We have a President that promised us that we would be allowed to read the legislation before it got signed: this did not happen.
Those are firing offenses.

Instead of “liberal”, I use the term “Progressive”, to avoid confusion with classical liberalism … or to get closer to the problem “statist” or “socialist”.
The Progressives believe that we oppose them because we see them as an evil conspiracy, and therefore dismiss our principled opposition as “hate”. Your analysis shows that, even when their motives are as pure and noble as the driven snow, their methods are ineffective and/or inefficient when it comes to achieving their stated objectives.
It’s not about “hate”, or even “greed” … it’s about using the BEST tools for the jobs at hand.

You are incorrect. Ms. Shiver correctly and intentionally used the transitive verb “gift”: to endow with some power, quality, or attribute. This is different from the mere act of giving. To “gift” is much more emphatic and dramatic, implying the endowment of something powerful (a new knowledge of the mindset of Obama), which Axelrod’s revelation is. Axelrod inadvertently and unintentionally “gifted” us with powerful information about what our president really thinks of us.

Axelrod is the spearhead for Obama and he is the product of the first generation of liberals and socialists who went underground after the 60s revolutionaries were defeated. Axelrod is a person to be concerned with but the ones we should worry about are the generations AFTER Axelrod and the continuing spreading of the cancer their forerunner brought to this nation. A cancer spread and continuing to spread in universities and colleges around the country. A cancer spread by a willing and liberal media. Once it gains a strong foothold, serious treatment is necessary and the treatment can be worse than the disease. That is one of the problems we face. Can we and are we willing to go through the pains of removing the cancer or just let it run its course and take the free pain medication in the form of government control as provided by malevolent benefactors?
Obama and his minions know the general public will soon lose interest and once the economy starts to recover in ways that will positively influence their lives, the general public will relax and not be as upset and angry as they are now. There is a short attention span that has been built into our psyche’ through years of self indulgence, immediate gratification, and programming that tells us any and all problems can be solved in 60 minutes or if very difficult, at least the time it takes to air a mini-series.
What angers the left, Democrats, progressives, and socialists over the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Ingraham, Beck, and other conservative voices is the simple fact that these few keep the issues before the public and keep them informed about what is going on from the conservative perspective. If not for these voices, we would be completely under a socialist government by now.
The message is simple. Don’t let up for a moment. Even when it becomes tiring and to some degree, boring, that is the time to remind ourselves of what is at stake and the importance of staying on message. Obama never let up and neither did his propagandists. They played the game to win and win they did. I do want to correct one misconception that the general public has about newly minted voters – say those in the 18-25 age range. Not all are zombies and not all are fooled by the media, or their leftist professors, or the demagogues.
Some of us parents spent small fortunes and worked very hard for 20+ years to mentor and shelter our children until grown to understand right from wrong, to understand that America’s foundations a gift never to be taken lightly, and to understand most things are not relative.
Many of these young people are starting “to get it.”

In order for us to right our beloved Republic, balance our Federal and State budgets, and pay down our national debt we’re going to need Representatives and Senators who do some VERY unpopular things that the majority will likely oppose. Ending Social Security & Medicare or at the least vastly reducing their scope, repealing ObamaCare, eliminating the Dept. of Education and other Federal agencies that are beyond the scope of Constitutionally granted powers, shedding thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of government employees and contractors, and repealing Affirmative Action just to cite a few.
What “we want” isn’t always what’s best for the nation in either the long or short term. That was really supposed to be the purpose of the Senate to be the State’s Representation and to prevent the following quote. “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.”
That is why allowing Federal Senators to be chosen by popular vote was such a bad idea.
I really think that Sen. Scott Brown.s decision not to support the T-Party is a mistake. They helped to elect him and now he drops them like a quarter in a phone booth. However, he is a senator from Massachussetts that wants to get re-elected so his advisors are telling him straight, move left and have a long, distinguished career, or enjoy the ride for a few years. Logic dictates that Republicans will win every single seat that’s up for election in 2010. You don’t need 100% of the votes to win 100% of the seats, you just need 51% of the votes in 100% of the districts. The only reason, the polls doesn’t show it yet, is that campaigning has not really started yet. Once the campaigns get into full gear, voters will see TV commercials highlighting the lies, the bribes, the flip flops, the deficit etc. And the polls will shift dramatically. Just like they did in Massachusetts.

Wisconsin will pass in the next few days a new election law that limit poll watchers to only those who live in a voting district, fine anyone who is caught voting illegally $10,000 but fine any poll watcher who challenges a voter and is wrong $100,000 (challenging a legal voter is “intimidation which is worse than actually voting illegally?), create a motor voter system, and universal absentee balloting (anyone can file an absentee ballot for any reason) and the new absentee ballots will not have either signatures nor witnesses to verify them. No ID is required to vote in Wisconsin. Major NGO’s like ACORN/PFA and SEIU will have access to all voter lists and all poll watchers must give their full home address info to any and all who request it at the polls (guess who will be intimidated by whom).
How do you think it will be until this program is implemented nationally? Before November 2012 certainly. Maybe before November 2010.

I really have to agree with Kyle-Anne regarding the women involved in the Tea Party movement:

I am the oldest of six children. My mother fits this description to a “T”. The primary difference being only that there was no “Bluetooth” in the 1940s thru 1960s when we grew up. Mom was a Baseball Wife, a PTA President, a Republican Delegate to the 1952 Republican Convention in Chicago, a “Charter” Member of The John Birch Society, among a host of activities surrounding kids with music and dance lessons,recitals, and what ever else that kept a Mid-West mother busy.
Kyle-Anne puts her finger directly on a little known fact of Republican politics, a serious part is made of of women at home raising a family and in a grand tradition “keeping the home fires burning”. These women are more often than not Republicans even if they have to kind of “hide” it.
That said, the ladies are at these Tea Party gatherings in strength. They are represented on the distaff side by clever and very intelligent women from Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman to Michelle Malkin and Greta Van Susteren and others such as the author (Kyle-Anne Shiver) of this article.
On a closing note, I just spent 12 years in south central Missouri in the beautiful Ozarks. Beautiful contry and wonderful people. I will bear witness to Kyle-Anne’s observation “Dumb rednecks? Now, there’s a laugh”. Yep, “Dumb Rednecks” is an Oxymoron.

No war has ever been won by shying away from identifying the enemy, knowing his true nature, and openly and unabashedly SAYING it. Wayne is so right. Laws will be passed to make it impossible for those disenchancted with Obama and his minions to win in 2010 and 2012. What he is describing happening in Democrat controlled Wisconsin (whose legislators have passed Voter ID laws — vetoed by the governor and have passed a constitutional amendment once which needs to be voted on twice in succession, but the majority won’t bring it to a vote in the legislature).
I was a the Tea Party at Daley laza in Chicago today. It was far more poorly attended than last year and there were more anti-Tea Party types on the fringes of the crowd than I thought there would be. Very disappointing. However, there was a later event at the site as well as one in the suburb of Schaumburg which may have siphoned off attendence in Chicago. I can hope.
People are concerned about what is happening, but not enough to take time to attend these events and demonstrate an energized public opposed to the Obama game plan.

No one should underestimate the degree of commitment this Admnistration has for transforming our nation into a Socialist/Progressive Democracy. This type of ambition has existed, with little recognition, since FDR. It is again coming into fruition through the imposition of the dependancy initiatives of Socialized Healthcare and will be furthered by the granting of amnesty to those in the US, illegally.
Tea Party rebellions or not, Obama has accomplished more with the passage of government managed healthcare than either of the Clintons, FDR and LBJ, put together. He is aptly proud of himself and in his assuredly one-term Presidency, he will continue to forcefully instill further Progressive ambitions. He will not stop in his agenda, until the day he is replaced by a regulatory and fiscal Conservative.
One cannot appreciate Obama’s ability to disregard majority opinion without acknowledging the Alinsky effect on his methodology. We must all acknowledge his intentional disregard of the opposition while he knowingly pisses us off. That is the desired effect. Having good, or right our side is of no advantage. Barack Obama will continue on this agenda, until he is replaced in 2014. He will, in the mean time, have been sucessful in transforming America further towards a Socialist/Progressive nation, and will have done so within a rapid paced, 4 years.
This, is just as he said throughout his election campaign. Don’t think otherwise and don’t think any of it will easily be reversed or repealed when he is out of office. Prepare yourself. Please look to the failing economy and the social unrest within Greece to witness our potential future. Also look to the other nations having a large dependency class and then to what happens when govenments go broke and attempt to eliminate the entitlements in their efforts to save themselves from total collapse. You may be envisioning our future. The citizens of these nations have grown to feel deserving and have inexorably and violently rebelled as the entitlements are inevitably taken away.
America was not founded on these Progressive values. Self reliance and self determination are what makes America great. President Obama is following a road towards the destruction of these values. His intentions to uplift whom he considers the less fortunate, may be honorable but, these methods have repeatedly failed. They have already failed at least once in the US, and have also failed in what was the former USSR, in China, in North Korea, and in Cuba, as well.
The American ideals of independence, individual freedom and the Capitalist values of a free market system and entrepreneurship have repeatedly proven to be more uplifting to the individual person and their spirit than any socialist method of reform.
It is truly unfathomable as to why Progressives repeatedly push America towards socialist values when there is so much more personal fulfillment as well as spiritual fulfillment, to be found within a free society.

He is a far left ideologue who fears regret over not pushing his far left agenda as hard as he can while he has the power he has now. He realizes his power will take a hit in November, but he’s determined to run as hard as he can between now and January when the next Congress takes office. He will also head up the strongest democrat election campaign possible to hold onto democrat power in the House and Senate. Republicans will be demonized and election fraud will be the order of the day. Its Chicago style politics, by hook or crook.
Looking into the future a bit when this President is voted out of office and Pelosi and Reid are bad dreams and the hard work begins of righting the country from all the wrongs foisted upon it, the bad legislation, the laws that cost jobs, the regulations that choke and kill innovation, getting back true friends of our country we will still have Obama stalking the land causing havoc just like Jimmy Carter and his stupidity has for over 30 years. This Socialist lurch to the left won’t stop just because of a few Alinsky adherents get voted out of office; they have an agenda and it has to be fought against in the schools and with an informed electorate. We’ve won the “Cold War” but now the enemy is with in the walls and the last fight is one the home ground.
I don’t believe that political leaders should be guided strictly by the views of the majority, especially when public opinion has been heavily influenced by demagoguery and biased media coverage. When you enter a war, for example, you can’t just bail when the going gets tough, or the opinion polls go against you.
That being said, I don’t see economic stimulus or nationalization of health care as a case where the opposition of the majority shouldn’t count. I don’t think that either of these is a power “delegated to the United States by the Constitution.” The majority of the money spent by the government today is in this category. Forget a VAT tax, we should do away with the income tax or any federal tax not approved by 3/4 of the states.
we are being forced into socialism. and one of the reasons is thatwe will lose steam and the left doesn’t stop; check pelosi and reid and the media and how they just keep ticking. they are counting on the tea party and the republican party splitting votes and they win.
