Why do news accounts claim Hillary is the winner when Obama has more delegates? Wishful thinking?

The simple fact is, McCain will be the Republican nominee...and Huckabee is counting on his being setup as the VP.

Of course since there are those who could not or would not compromise and go with either Thompson or Rudy...and do NOT like Romney, there is no one for conservatives to vote for in November.

Thus while McCain will most likely be the Republican nominee and Huckabee his VP, they will NOT win the White House and will in fact be humiliated by a lack of votes. This will be because the conservative part of the GOP will not vote in November and will leave McCain to hang out to dry...and we will have Hillary or Obama in the White House.

For if the race is between McCain or Hillary or McCain and Obama, what is the difference really? After all, no matter WHO wins in that scenario, a LIBERAL will be in the White House. And if that is to be the results, the conservatives will just choose not to vote. For conservatives will NEVER vote for a liberal, no matter what.

I just put up my audio editorial on the Fix Being In on the democratic side.

http://oldgloryradio.podbean.com/2008/02/05/super-tuesday-democrat-primary-the-fix-is-in/

The real showdown is on the Rep side and if they will wake up the socialist McCain.

"but it is a vote that will allow some to stand up and be counted (even though it feels a little like the mouse with one finger raised high in the face of an incomming, swooping Eagle)."

LOL.

Wishing you the best anyway. Happy voting. Courage in the face of known adversity is laudible in and of itself. As is self-awareness.

"They are presiding over a catastrophe calling itself a Party and they somehow think that is a 'good thing'."

Ok ... Ok! This may only be one vote cast by a broken party here in California (yes, I agree), but it is a vote that will allow some to stand up and be counted (even though it feels a little like the mouse with one finger raised high in the face of an incomming, swooping Eagle).

"California Republicans can bring the party back to its conservative principles and tell Arnie what they think about HIS policies"

Well not to defend Arnold who I think has allowed California to continue to spend itself into a really fine mess, but California Republicans make me LOL. They are presiding over a catastrophe calling itself a Party and they somehow think that is a 'good thing'. More entertainingly they and their allies in the cheap-seats media, seem to think that their's is a model the National Party should copy.

The Republican Party in California is totally moribund and slowly dying from complete irrelevancy. It now more resembles a cult, than a viable political agent and evidently it's inmates prefer it that way. Each to his/her own I guess but I just don't get it.

What's that you say ? Parties are supposed to actually be able to accomplish something. They must in a democratic society try to remember that politics is the art of the possible. Compromise is not a bug; it's a feature.

Heresy I say. Heresy. You are cast out!! Never darken my doorstep again.

Being right as the most believing of the believers define it, is the only path to salvation.

Gimme an amen.

And --- lots and lots of electoral defeats. Lots, and lots, and lots, of defeats. A numbingly predictable, energy sapping, endless series of defeats.

But eash to his/her own as I said. Whatever floats your boats.

Even sinking boats.

Mitt Romney Surge Seen In California

Conservative Republican's may finally be able to send Arnold Schwarzenegger a message on how they feel about his liberal betrayal of the people who swept him into office.

Arnold endorses a man cut from the same cloth in Senator John McCain for President ... California Republicans can bring the party back to its conservative principles and tell Arnie what they think about HIS policies with a confident vote cast for Mitt Romney as the Republican choice to lead the free world.
