This phenomenon explains why Ilan Halimi, a Jewish boy in France, was kidnapped by a Muslim gang several years ago in Paris, held in a secret Muslim concentration camp and barbarically tortured for 23 days until he died (with the torturers calling his mother and reciting Koranic verses to her while she heard his screams), and his name is still to be spoken in our media.
It is understandable, of course, why Halimi’s name is not spoken — or known — in our culture. If it were, then the fact would become well known that in the apartment building in which he was tied up and tortured, the myriad of dwellers in the building, all Muslims, heard Ilan’s screams. Not only did they not do anything to stop it, but many of them got in line to participate. And they took gratification and consolation from torturing their Jew, for Islamic theology dispenses numerous mandates and incentives for Muslims to hate, hurt, and kill Jews. To accept this fact annihilates the foundational structures of the leftist belief system; it takes the legs out from the progressive lies on which our culture is built. It is safer, therefore, not to acknowledge the names of Alaa Alsaegh and Ilan Halimi, let alone what happened to them and why.
The notion that his own society is unjust is the bedrock of the leftist’s vision. To recognize the evil of the people who carved the Star of David on Alaa Alsaegh’s back or who tortured Ilan Halimi, and to recognize the evil of the ideology that inspired them, is to admit the existence of pernicious adversarial faiths. Such an admission concedes that there are cultures and systems that are much more unjust than ours. This is an untenable step for leftists to take, because it means acknowledging that there is something superior about our civilization that’s worth saving and defending.
Showing compassion for Alaa Alsaegh and Ilan Halimi is, therefore, extremely dangerous for any leftist, as it would undermine his political faith. As I have documented in United in Hate, it would also expose him to potential excommunication from his social community — which is unfathomable for the majority of leftists, whose politics are, in the end, their social lives and, therefore, their sense of personal identity.
There is also a desperation in our culture and media for a “moderate Islam” (we talk about it more than Muslims do) — an Islam that many non-Muslims strenuously insist exists, but that somehow mysteriously eludes them. This moderate Islam will take all of our problems away, we are told, once the “extremists,” who are the “minority” in Islam, are consoled. Meanwhile, a real and actual “moderate Islam” is nowhere to be found; there is no school of Islamic jurisprudence that counsels Muslims to renounce the Qur’an’s teachings on Islamic supremacism and the obligation of violent jihad. And yet, to suggest the truth of this reality in our society earns one only the label of being a racist and an “Islamophobe.”
Roger Simon, CEO of Pajamas Media, wrote a piece awhile back that touched on this theme, analyzing why even various conservative thinkers have attacked Geert Wilders. In his view, these conservative individuals are rejecting Wilders because they are afraid that he might be right. Krauthammer criticized Wilders, Simon writes, not because
he thinks the Dutch politician is “extreme,” but because he is afraid the Dutch politician is right. Call it projection, but I believe this because I have the exact same fear. I think many of us do and we don’t want to face it. Who would? The resultant conclusions are too depressing.
Indeed, it is too depressing to consider the implications of Wilders being right and so a form of Stockholm Syndrome vis-à-vis Islam must enter the consciousness of our society – a Stockholm Syndrome clearly on display, in its own toxic form, in the shameless silence we are now witnessing of our media on the frightening and tragic fate of Alaa Alsaegh.

Ms. Darwish claims Mr. Alsaegh posted his poem on the website Arabs For Israel “about a year ago” but there is no evidence of the poem on the site until September 27, 2011, the date Ms. Darwish wrote the article in FrontPage magazine. And Mr. Alsaegh was allegedly attacked on August 14? And the FBI has not classified this as a “hate crime” rather they are investigating.

Supposedly, (from other accounts I’ve read of this) there were witnesses to this attack. Apparently, the St. Louis Police Department responded to this incident at 10:45 A.M., August 14th. Can’t someone from the press (I mean someone from Fox News or Breitbart) get the police report? The best way to determine if this was a hoax would be to find and interview the alleged witnesses. (Their anonymity, of course, would have to be assured.) I wonder why no one has done this yet.
I mean, there has got to be a way of confirming this story than just taking this guy’s word for it. (The Star-of-David on his back? Well, without witnesses to this event, which supposedly occurred in broad-daylight, on a public street, I might be inclined to think that he got another hot-eyed convert to Christianity to help him pull off a hoax.)

I recommend reading Walid Phares’ “The War of Ideas” to get an understanding of how complex and foreign Muslim philosophy and faith is to the Western mindset. There is no such muslim that is a moderate in America. Just read their quran and lecture they print. They tell us plainly what their plans are for America. Wow, this is a shock to me. I live in St Louis and grew up on the southside where Compton and Park is. There was nothing in the St Louis PostDispatch nor did the local TV media’s report any incident of this type. Which leads to confirmation of the liberal left controling what is presented by the news media as they attempt to shape our society by suppressing Muslim hate crimes toward infidels as well as their own people.
The story seems fake.

It is true that if you talk to a leftist about Islam promoting violence they will typically rebut with how most Muslims are not the extremist variety. And perhaps they will even go into a tirade about Christianity leading to violence giving the example of Oklahoma City – a non-sequitor. I’ve experienced this before, and I tried asking the guy why he became so defensive for Muslims, yet hostile towards Christianity (not allowing the same defense concerning extremism for Christians) – (even though it doesn’t really apply to McVeigh, or the Bible because it doesn’t promote violence). His (and this is a smart guy I thought) strategy after that was to copout and denounce all religions as stupid, that make people do stupid things (his language became almost instantly less articulate, too – he was getting irritated). So, my observation is that it is really about Christianity.
Leftists do not really give a flying fig about Muslims… whether they are good or evil or anything. If Muslims come up as a topic they work diligently to diffuse the issue as neutral, but when it comes to Christianity or anything associated with Judeo-Christian heritage they reveal their bias.
They hate the true, or perhaps, domininant religion: Christianity. And in their ambling logic they find that they must denounce all religions as the scapegoat to conceal a sole bias towards Christianity. I think that the culture in America is nurturing hatred against all things “puritan” as the pariah for all social deficiency, yet also work to hide the plain fact that it is soley against only one religion.
It is telling.

This is one man and one story that should not be ignored.
A lesbian student at Tamalpais HS in California complained that anti-gay slurs were carved into the paint of her car while on campus. Bay Area TV News went into a liberal, moral-superiority frenzy. The drumbeat was insane. They intervied every self proclaimed gay, lesbian, transgender, gay-youth, questioning-youth activist within 100 miles on the plight of bullied gay HS students.
Cops are pretty smart. They broke the young chicks story and she admitted she had carved up her own paint job — seeking attention. The story quietly went away.
No second thoughts from the media. Their job of portraying the gays as heroic and white males as violent, dead enders was done.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is power.
