Client #9 (and Hillary Clinton superdelegate) takes a sip of Love Potion #9 and descends from Cloud 9.

Jon Motherwell said:

"...the FBI... eventually found out it was prostitution.... Question: when the FBI learned this, why didn't they drop the investigation and alert Spitzer to knock it off?"

Are you suggesting that a politician engaged in criminal activity should be tipped off, and simply be told to stop it?

That's one of the major problems in this country: if you're connected, you get a free pass.

This case will show whether or not we're all equal under the law. Because if the FBI had caught an ordinary working American breaking the law like Spitzer did, does anyone believe they would be given just a tip and a warning?

Certainly this is a shocking turn of events. The NY Times reports this morning that the AG in Washington (probably Gonzales) gave the go ahead last year for the FBI to pursue the investigation against the governor to determine why he was moving large sums of money via wire. They thought there might be corruption somewhere, or bribery, or laundering campaign cash, but eventually found out that it was prostitution. Question: when the FBI learned this, why didn't they drop the investigation and alert Spitzer to knock it off?
